Dumb question, but can your kill be blocked or prevented in any way? Can the target be protected, or can you be blocked?

so when creature's alignment was taken, that means that they basically switched alignments which is why creature flipped colin's initial role and died (so 3 initial 3p -> 2 initial 3p)
that doesn't change the amount of wolves or town
