They did indeed. A checkbook, so I had to close and reopen a new account, my GPS, and some family heirloom jewelry. I put in a police report and will check the pawn shops.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Egad!Mongoose wrote:So things have gone rather well for me...

Which probably means that someone made off with some of your personals.
It had to be done, sug. A stagant forum is a ...well, stagnant forum.MovingPictures07 wrote:I ruined it.

Plus I would feel bad for anybody trying to sort through the mess in my Jeep just to make like $30 at a pawnshop. Probably helps that I never have to cart around anybody but myself.

I don't think I've hosted a game of over 20 players before. 58 would be quite a lot.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Hosting a 58 player game is hard.

Man you think that's bad? My first time GMing a game will have 40 players(probably).Metalmarsh89 wrote:I don't think I've hosted a game of over 20 players before. 58 would be quite a lot.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Hosting a 58 player game is hard.

I love this video just so, so much (it made the rounds on another site I frequent yesterday). Not only is there adorable bear family holiday action, but there's also this super awesome distillation of this awesome little human family in their comments. It's all so hilarious and sweet and very real and holy shit that Mom is just the best. And damn! Those kids cannot countenance the notion of sharing their belongings. It's priceless and perfect.S~V~S wrote:

I'm not hosting it alome though (there's another guy). And there are about 10 inactive players.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I don't think I've hosted a game of over 20 players before. 58 would be quite a lot.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Hosting a 58 player game is hard.

The Anti-Monitor
[Life Shell] : The Anti-Monitor is bulletproof and can survive a lynch. If hit by a superkill or a lynch, his shell will be destroyed in his stead, leaving him defenseless. He can regain his shell by personally faction killing two regular roles or one super role, via [Energy Absorption(passive)].
[Anti-Verse(passive)] : All affiliation investigations, role investigations, lie detects, watching and tracking abilities used on the Anti-Monitor turn up the opposite. For role investigations, a random town role will be chosen. For watchers and trackers, it will say that he was targeted by those he targeted and targeted those that targeted him(if he wasn't targeted at all, a tracker would receive a result saying he didn't target anyone).
[Energy Absorption(passive)] : If the Anti-Monitor performs the faction kill, he will make the target generic prior to the attack hitting, rendering all passive abilities null and keeping them from using any active abilities. For every two regular roles or one super role he has killed he can restore a shot of [Power Distribution]. For every four regular or two supers he can restore a shot of [The Anti-Verse(active).
[Energy Absorption(active)]: The Anti-Monitor can make a player generic for a phase once per cycle.
[Power Distribution] : The Anti-Monitor can power-up one of his faction, doubling the strength of their abilities(minus one-shots) for a cycle. The power is too much to handle however, rendering the member generic for a cycle afterwards. Two-shot
[The Anti-Verse(active)] : Sending the game into the Anti-Verse for a phase, the Anti-Monitor makes it so that all regular positive abilities will become negative and all regular negative abilities positive for a phase. This ability does not affect his own faction or limited use abilities(one-shots, two-shots, etc) from roles outside his faction. One-shot.

Dear Kahuna Almighty! I thought we ran complicated games here, but that is one of 58 roles? You are a brave man, good sir.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:I mean, check this godfather role the other host made (it already flipped so it's okay to show it here):

I've actually been really confused at how Bass and MP's Naruto game is going to work in that respect. Mainly the chakra mechanic, and if it regenerates or anything.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:That's supposed to be the strongest member of one of the factions, so most roles are simple than that. But 2-4 abilities is the standard for roles.
No, you guys don't run complicated here. Your mechanics are pretty simple most of the time.
Though I like how Syndicate likes to have global game mechanics that give the whole game a flavor, instead of just focusing on abilities (example: the money game from economics or the guess who game).
I will ask if I can discuss this and get back to you.XthAtGAm3RGuYX wrote:I've actually been really confused at how Bass and MP's Naruto game is going to work in that respect. Instead of a strict NK/role power system, to better reflect the theme and try something unique, the Health and Chakra system is adapted:
• Health can only be affected by damage from other players' night actions. The health indicated for each character is the starting amount as well as the maximum. Once a player reaches 0 health, they die.
• Lynches occur during day periods as normal. Regardless of the amount of health one has, typically a lynch will still flat out kill any player, with the usual mafia game exceptions.
• Chakra determines what night actions one can currently choose to utilize. The chakra indicated for each character is the starting amount as well as the maximum. The parentheses in correspondence with each jutsu specify the amount of chakra that must be spent to execute that move.
• Multiple jutsu can be used in one night, so long as the chakra required for the jutsu is available.
• Chakra is replenished at the end of every day period. The replenishment rate is equal to a combination of a flat rate specific to your character plus or minus quality and quantity of posts during the previous night/day cycle. This is intended to reward players for contributing and punish those for failing to do so, even if not on an extreme scale.

It's not in the OP; I made a separate post right after the role listing, so that must be why.XthAtGAm3RGuYX wrote:

I've never watched the LLWS, but that's awesome. Oregon would never have a team in such a position.G-Man wrote:Anybody watching the Little League World Series? Actually, there was a team from Oregon in the tourney but they lost their first two games.Metalmarsh89 wrote:I've never watched the LLWS, but that's awesome. I'm going to go insane. In File Explorer or Total Commander, when I try to name a new folder or name a file, activating caps highlights the whole goddamn text (and makes me lose the text by hitting a letter afterwards) or acts like enter and closes the editing box. WTF. Except for changing the language bar hot keys (using Shift to capitalize, which is a pain in the ass, after being used to use the caps), I can't find anything in the settings to help. I also can't find anything on the internet, although they do have articles on the caps being screwy, but for a different reason.A Person wrote:maybe a tab/caps lock issue q.m.Ricochet wrote:What is going on with my caps lock on Win10!! That is really weird. I wondered too if it was a language bar issue but I've never used Win10 so I dunno really. I don't know why the key would act differently in different times unless there is a problem with the keyboard itself.Ricochet wrote:I'm going to go insane.
