Why am I upset?

How much more fishy could it be? Literally the last second.

Okay, whoa, did not expect that to happen. I was strongly considering voting for Snow Dog back when I made the post saying his vote switched bothered me, but I got distracted with calc homework that was due at 11 and forgot to actually do the vote until the last minute. This was a really surprising turn of events, but hopefully we'll get a good result.

Also to respond to this:
Metalmarsh89 wrote:
Chris wrote:I just noticed that in the post that Daisy quoted of MM's, he says that Dana made a post in support of me.

None of what she posted in response to Splints was about me. It was about Epig and Daisy.
Epig was dead at that point, there's no way that Dana could "think" that he is civ, when she already said that she thought he was bad after the lynch had happened, and he is a confirmed civ. Either Dana is out of her mind, or she was talking about you.
I am not out of my mind, it made perfect sense if you read the posts before it. I said "I think they are both civ", as in, Epig was definitely civ, and I believe Daisy is also civ. Even though I said I thought he was bad after the lynch, I was talking about what I had thought before the lynch. Why would I still think he's bad after he was lynched and confirmed civ? I said "they are both civ" in defense of Daisy, not Chris. I didn't mention Chris anywhere.

Right now, I'm mostly unsure about Made. I feel like he wouldn't have all those votes if he wasn't really suspicious (or something evil was going on), but right now, I'm just not really seeing the suspicions around him.

Look at the voters. Four out of five are hardly involved in this game.
Exactly. It's like how most of those people were on your case earlier this game.
Ok, so of the Made voters many seem fairly uninvolved in this game and came in and voted earlier. But the snow dog votes came in quite last minute, but from the more active players is that right? Has MM been suspecting someone other than Snow dog?

As far as I can tell, SDog and MP hadn't "chatted" at all on this thread at that point in the day.

I did think that was a bit odd, but I assumed he meant like on IRC or IRL or something similar, because I seriously doubt a baddie would make a slip that obvious.

Grr I just made a post on my phone but it logs me out every time I try to submit. OK I'm on laptop now.

Just a couple minutes before the lynch was over, MM was begging MP to vote for Made. He said he'd much rather have Snow Dog lynched, but they needed to vote Made together to protect MP. Does that make sense to you? If they both voted for Snow Dog, that would have tied the poll, which I think is a more ideal result for what MM claimed to want. No. I think he realized a Made lynch wasn't obvious anymore, freaked out, and did his best to ensure he got lynched. I don't know if he did this to protect Snow Dog, Hedge, or something else, but it makes so little sense from the perspective he's trying to claim.

I thought that was really strange too but I didn't think much of it; my days have been running together. I do talk to Snow Dog outside mafia but not too often, and I hadn't earlier today. Actually I completely forgot about it.

It's not a connection between me and Snowy since I'm not bad, and I don't even know if he is, but let's hope so.

Yea, I can't see why he would so desperately need to protect MP. he only has three votes, and so do daisy and hedge. MM is looking very shady atm. I also found it a bit weird earlier how he was taking a screenshot of the votes so people could see what they were at the time. He seemed to have an issue with the changing of votes then enough to want to document what they were at the time, but switched his vote at the last minute now.

I feel bad too since he just returned from a hiatus this game and he loves Doctor Who, but I voted the way I voted for a reason, and even though he can be wishy washy he usually can at least be a bit more assertive. I hope he's bad or else I'm going to feel extra bad about this one.

"You guys, we have to be very careful with this lynch. The Doctor is getting super pissed at us." MP remarked to the cowd.
"Sockface is right. That guy's got some angry eyebrows and I don't want to make them any more angry." Rox agreed from her Niquil fog.

Names started flying all around. The Doctor sat off to the side watching. Trying to calculate what each person's motives were.
There was a LOT of arguing all day long. Lots of potential candidates for the sacrifice but no clear winner for much of the time. Finally a majority of the crowd decided that Made was the sacrafice theislandImeanplanet demanded. They tied his hands behind his back and lead him out to the middle of the courtyard. They placed his head down on the chopping block. They called for the executioner.

Just as the executioner was stepping up onto the platform, several people changed their minds and decided that Snow Dog was the true baddest of the bad. They ran up, pushed Made out of the way, shoved Snowy down and yelled "DO IT!! DO IT NOW AND QUICKLY!!!! BEFORE ANYONE CHANGES THEIR MINDS AGAIN!!!!!!!

They got as far as "AG" when the blade sliced through Snowy's head lobbing it right off.

The Doctor walked up to the body and looked at it sadly. He leaned over, pulled another note out of Snowy's pocket. He began to read aloud.

Doctor,

Your team has been doing an amazing job at dying in your name. I told you that trying to chase me would cause nothing but pain and heartache but you refuse to listen. Who pays the price of your stubbornness? Your friends. Your companions. The people you claim to love. You could end this all now by giving up. But you won't. You never will. You're too vain for that. You think you're the cleverest person in the universe. But you are not. I am. Keep running Doctor, but you will never find me.

- The Valeyard.

He looked out at the crowd and then back to the HIgh Priestess. She frowned sadly and addressed the crowd.

"You chose to kill Snow Dog. Because of your actions, every civ will start Day 4 with a +1 vote. You really need to start choosing more carefully." She walked back into the Temple.

The crowd stared in disbelief as they saw the obvious in front of their eyes much too late:

Snow Dog has been lynched. He was Mickey Smith. You have 23ish hours to vote in the poll and do anything else you need to do.

The night poll will have a later than 8:30 pm EST cut off time because I took some time to tweek a few things with the post but I want to keep the posts/polls ending as close to that 8:30 mark as possible so we're going for an end of night at that time tomorrow regardless of what the poll says. K?

Admittedly, the first time I read those posts I was just skimming, trying to catch up, but even after reviewing them, the posts you linked just seem to be him admitting to a misunderstanding on his part. Unless there's something else I'm missing, I don't understand how that incriminates him.

He misread something twice? I don't get the big deal.

I also don't understand the significance of missed vs. misread. Aren't they pretty much synonyms in this context?

Thanks for clearing things up.

Indeed, it's certainly still possible for a civvie win, even if there's a setback.

Yeah, trying to purposefully set that up would probably be pretty difficult. Though I think it's imperative we don't have a very spread out vote tomorrow.

Ah, yes. The total votes including the +1s wouldn't be made public, would they?

Is that a legitimate plan then? Aim for a tie? Or is that too risky?

If we aim for a tie between a civ and a baddie, the civ will be lynched. No tie. I think its necessary to have a clear choice of 2 votes so its free from manipulation in that sense at least.

Sorry, that wasn't well worded.

To keep this +1 from fucking with the will of the people, the person lynched needs to have two votes more than anyone else. We don't know what a tie will result in, so one vote isn't enough to keep it in our hands.

Agreed. We all need to discuss candidates well in advance and have a game plan. We can't be lynching like this anymore.

It's possible we still leave ourselves open to manipulation and a more overwhelming civvie lynch, but we cannot let the vote spread be prevalent in the slightest.

It seems, at least I would predict right now but I really have no idea, that the major candidates for D4 would be Made, Metalmarsh, Hedge, and Elo.

Not sure if it SHOULD be those, or if it will be, but really what we need to do is come up with say, four or five people to focus on after we assess the best arguments, and then vote accordingly, making sure that the person in the lead gets at least 2 more votes than the person in second, even if that person isn't necessarily OUR number one suspect. Thoughts?

Do you think Elo is that likely of a candidate? Didn't you and Daisy get more votes than her?

linki: lol right

You and daisy also took a lot of votes :)

what do you mean "even if that person isn't necessarily OUR number one suspect"? I don't think anyone should vote for someone they aren't the most suspicious of, and anyone who agrees to do that is suspicious IMO

linki - yup. I would take Elo off the list and add MP and daisy

Though I do like where you are coming from, MP. I really hate split votes since we are basically just giving it to the baddies then, so hopefully we can all agree a little better the next day.
