If we HAVE to choose between Qwags and Marmot I’ll always choose Qwags here since, (Daisy/Falcon/Qwags/Flanders/Mac) team makes sense.

This attitude is similar to my current view of the game. I'm happy to have a few townreads, but I haven't figured out who I think is bad yet. I feel like a lot of posts aren't that alignment-readable maybe... or maybe I skimmed through too much while tired. I think of Qwags for instance, and people loling and saying "Who is Quags?" comes to mind, or how about Mac's bunch of GIFs and votes without explanation. I think he has a whole team of suspects, from that post where he voted 5 players at once. I don't know why, I don't know if he's joking around or if he's just scum and wants to muddy the waters while relaxing in GIF-ville. I do think he could do a better job communicating and that he might not be posting in good faith.

Jack's rhymes are sick, but his obsession with Tim doesn't work for me at all. He just calls everything Tim says a lie, whoop-de-doo, but why?

It has five charges, so if I was wolf I would be itching to use it. Leads me to agree they probably fired it off and hoped for the bonus kill, yes. Whether the target they chose last night will still be a high enough priority to be the NK tonight is a different question though. There are people I would say have likely bubbled to the top of the NK list today that likely displaced anyone they tried to razor last night.

Yes, I’m presupposing a kill, and in hindsight it doesn’t make as much sense to get rid of a player recently used. But if the 2nd target didn’t have an artifact then they’re probably not particularly useful to mafia.

sure, but why Quin over say Nacho or Enrique? All 3 of those slots have very few associations and similar activity level so I'd be interested in why Quin specifically

What is cross-voting? If you're referring to a self-prez vote, that'll likely happen and Qwags is a fine option.

No martyr. I need information, so I trade information. My role isn't going to get me anywhere, including killed, in the short term, but in a setup this complicated I think if the entire town tries to keep all their cards tight to their vest we will probably suffer for it. So I shared what looked like it wouldn't hurt to share to lead the way. This seems blatantly obvious, but with five wolves freely sharing information about their roles and how the shrines responded to them they are at a big advantage in figuring stuff out. Some people are gonna take that as role fishing and get timfoily about it and that's just the way it goes.

Now we know some stuff about some stuff.

From the chaos crowd I think maybe we learned something. A bunch of people went to the Sheogorath shrine. At least three claim to have gotten post gimmick curses for their trouble while TSP got a day off the poll, assuming they are all telling the truth. One possibility is that there is a good benefit assigned, maybe randomly or maybe by some priority system, and everyone else gets fucked with. That would fit Sheogorath, lorewise.

That would also make sense of some other issues, like watcher being way to powerful to just hand out to everyone who goes to a shrine. If there is a shrine handing out watcher boons it might just give one per night and everyone else that goes there gets nothing. Gavail says there is a watcher shrine (Nocturnal), and that he chose to go somewhere else last night. That seems like a bad choice to me, and if a lot of people had that choice available it seems like most would have taken it, but we aren't flooded with watcher reports. So only one gets rewarded? Or a lot of people did get watcher power and no one watched Alison get murdered? Or someone did see Alison get murdered and doesn't want to risk telling us about it? Or Gavail is fake on the claim? Some things seem more plausible there than others.

That's what I have put together on the setup. My own input is that one other person went to the same shrine I did (Sanguine) and I have no idea who, or what they got. If whatever gets handed out there is a "only one gets blessed" thing I think I wouldn't even be eligible so it would just go to them automatically. The only thing I can imagine that might come useful out of that info is if for some reason someone admits to being the other Sanguine visitor and then someone else claims they were there too, because that makes one of the three of us a liar. Probably not happening.

Anyway, I was asleep, and woke up to clean up after a puking dog so now I am wide awake at the most inconvenient of times so I'll maybe read some thread here...although the longer I stay up the more screwed my sleep schedule is gonna get.

I can see using tracker nite 1 as opposed to watcher. maybe u r unsure who is townie, feel more sure about your scums. and I have played a game where a cop every nite literally invested a player that ended up being nked. so it is plausible he did indeed try to track Nanook.

Gavial seems all over the place. his scum read on me seems like an omgus and not actually for any legit stuff.

This is a problem for me Flanders.

I have people on my home site that "are always mafia even when they aren't." Two different kinds in fact.

There's me. I start every game wrapped in so much tinfoil because of my past behavior that I have to come out the gate fending of a "just in case" chop. You saw the Syn tunnel day one here. That's one kind of "always mafia" to be pushed, but that's obviously not what you are saying about Qwags.

The other kind is the low hanging fruit kind. Always gets chopped early because no matter who the wolf team is they are comfortable that they can. Just...always easy to suss and doesn't have a really strong skillset for "towning it up" to get off the hook. People know that they could just slank that to a win, so they are always inclined to just early chop "just in case" and because "can't have that at end game."

So I get it. But if someone from my home site like that is here I am shielding them, at least partially, because even this early on town can't afford to just throw away a chop. Maybe I'm mad at them for not being able to fend off mischops. Maybe I'm saying "this is just a lhf thing and everyone needs to take a breath here." Maybe a lot of things. But one thing I am NOT doing is saying "looks wolfy, charge!!!" because I would be first in line saying "they always look wolfy though."

You are the one saying that they always look wolfy, but at the same time you seem to be leading the chop with nothing more than "because they look wolfy." That's a not really towny contradiction to me.

I would talk more about the Shrines in order to help the town coordinate better, but it's tough when different townfolk interact in different ways.

For all I know, my visit to Namira could do vastly different things than your visit to Namira. I know that some players have specific Shrines they can visit, and I think they know what those Shrines will do for them. Others, like me, don't have specific Shrines, and interact with them in different ways. I went to a Shrine last night and got nothing, not even a PM saying "nothing happened".

Are the Shrines geared toward their Daedric whatever things? I went to Hircine because it's the Shrine of "the hunt", so I figured it's a lock for getting a track or some way to hunt wolves. Maybe that would work for someone else though. Maybe Meridia's "light and vital energy" will result in a protect. Maybe Hermaeus Mora would provide the player with more knowledge about the game, or even knowledge in a cop-style fashion?

I can't know right now, but maybe some other players do know, am I on the right track at all with this?

I don't like Jack's rhymes. and, yeah Mac could use more memes/pictures to convey whst he needs to say. the gifs seem more vague.

I get it's annoying to ppst in rhyme but if he was actually town and seems like sus by many he would put in more efforts.

since we are talking about both players I think Mac has done more to convey his process in the limits he has then jack. or wait actually it's the same. and jack can actually text and stuff. that probably sounds extremely harsh.

For all I know, my visit to Namira could do vastly different things than your visit to Namira. I know that some players have specific Shrines they can visit, and I think they know what those Shrines will do for them. Others, like me, don't have specific Shrines, and interact with them in different ways. I went to a Shrine last night and got nothing, not even a PM saying "nothing happened".

Are the Shrines geared toward their Daedric whatever things? I went to Hircine because it's the Shrine of "the hunt", so I figured it's a lock for getting a track or some way to hunt wolves. Maybe that would work for someone else though. Maybe Meridia's "light and vital energy" will result in a protect. Maybe Hermaeus Mora would provide the player with more knowledge about the game, or even knowledge in a cop-style fashion?

I can't know right now, but maybe some other players do know, am I on the right track at all with this?

yes the highlighted part is certainly correct, one of my abilities heavily implies it

unfortunately I don't know much about the flavour

This attitude is similar to my current view of the game. I'm happy to have a few townreads, but I haven't figured out who I think is bad yet. I feel like a lot of posts aren't that alignment-readable maybe... or maybe I skimmed through too much while tired. I think of Qwags for instance, and people loling and saying "Who is Quags?" comes to mind, or how about Mac's bunch of GIFs and votes without explanation. I think he has a whole team of suspects, from that post where he voted 5 players at once. I don't know why, I don't know if he's joking around or if he's just scum and wants to muddy the waters while relaxing in GIF-ville. I do think he could do a better job communicating and that he might not be posting in good faith.
