I am Woman, hear me roar.
Seriously, I am though
And I can see your point, I obviously had the exact opposite thought, lol, and TBH your quiet acceptance and voting for the person you were supposed to even though I was in effect threatening to leave you uncovered is what led (shamed) me to throttle back on the "ME ME ME" thing a bit.
So i could see this either way, really. I will do some reading later on.
So are we gonna try for a more normal suspicion led lynch, and let the suspicions drive who is not voted for Or are we leaving a few names out, in effect agreeing to take them off the poll, in advance, and then do the spread method? Or something different?
I think the way we did it last night was a great contingency plan, but if we keep doing that, it just gives the baddies a way to hide, and blend. Also it is hard to keep everyone on board for plans. i don't love them, and if someone misses, we're basically screwed.

He who?
I don't understand. Svs wasn't planning to vote for you despite the fact that you could be a killer. All you had to say was it won't matter I can't kill anyway. I think you got nervous and said nothing. You were around and a response would not have required that much logic.

First off, I don't really get 'nervous'. I also don't see the point in saying things that would have no impact on anyone's opinions. Of *course* I'm not a killer - you could ask anyone and they'd tell you the same thing about themselves.
If I had written a response (and I started to), it would have been a full description of my concerns, the point of being voted for, and pros and cons for SVS (sorry about the gender, lots of new people to track).
See, there was no danger to me from being left open, and in fact it *might* have been a plus - if I was left uncovered, and nobody died (which would have happened unless Horne did something foolish, or was recruited), then I'd have good evidence that I was civ at that point. The risk was the 1/10 chance that BOB recruited Horne, which would almost guarantee my death, as Horne would grab the chance to kill someone while pretending it was me (two birds, one stone).
Now, that might not seem like a lot of typing, but I was playing on an ipad, with one hand - it didn't seem worth the work at the time. Of course, I didn't expect quite such aggressive McCarthyism.. What's your beef here?

Haha if you think this is aggressive, hang on for a ride.
I basically let my pings about you slide until now. But pinged I am. And I've played the entire last two days on an iPad so ifeel your pain but reject your excuse. Sorry I see your baby with a set of twins and a 7 year old. All boys. Fold?
I still say it would have been easy to simply say it won't matter if she doesn't vote me but you didn't even do that. I might might not have believed it but the LACK of saying anything at all has made me much more suspicious of you overall.
Btw, I did not realize you meant svs when you said he. I thought you were talking about two different people. Sorry.

You've "let me slide, until now"? On Day 1? Er, thanks..?
I wasn't bringing up my baby to say "Pity me, I have sooo much work to do" - I was busy taking care of a baby, and I didn't have a hand free. I'm glad you're so hardcore that you wouldn't dream of not replying to such a pointless argument, but (on the weekends at least) I have better things to do some of the time.

Of course it would have been easy to say that, but I don't like to just claim things without a point. I play mafia largely as a logic game, and saying things just to be seen saying them doesn't sit well with me. I don't really mind your being suspicious of me, as long as you get more suspicious of other people when they give you an actual reason to be.
I do generally consider pointing the finger based on exactly no evidence or logic to be an indicator for badness though.
For your future reference: I am not a killer, I am not Bob, and you shouldn't lynch me for not asserting it at every opportunity. If that changes I'll let you know.

I'm a little lost.
I like Nevin's style, I agreed with their logic for the day 1 vote. I guess I maybe missed the reason why Nevin is suspicious but that I am not, since I agreed with Nevin's plan.
Roxy in particular I wanted to hear from. Not because I suspect her but because I want to understand. She sounded on board with the plan I was advocating, which was essentially Nevin's plan... unless I'm misremembering, in which case please correct me.

But the fool on the hill, sees the sun going down, and the eyes in his head, see the world spinning around.
Miscommunication sometimes leads to arguments and arguments sometimes lead to fights. Anger is usually present in arguments and fights. Anger is an emotion, usually classified as a negative emotion. Negative emotions can cause severe problems in our environment and to the health of our body. Happiness, usually classified as a positive emotion, can bring good health to our body and spread positive vibrations into our environment. Sometimes when we are ill we are not on our best behavior. By ill, I mean any of the following: physically ill, emotionally ill, mentally ill, and / or spiritually ill.
LUCY'S COLUMN:
I hope Andy is safe with that killer around. Blindfaeth seems awfully twitchy. I hope he has nothing to hide. Oh, Andy, be careful out there! Agent Cooper had better look after him.
CUT TO:
EXT. CABIN - DAY
They all reach the side of the cabin and slowly, with guns drawn, walk outside the exterior log wall toward the front of the cabin. As they pass a window they duck down slightly. Unexpectedly, the 'LOG LADY' MARGARET LANTERMEN, holding her log, walks around the corner and meets them face to face. Caught off guard HAWK, TRUMAN and COOPER all point their weapons at her.
LOG LADY
'Bout time you got here. They move so slowly when their not afraid.
She walks off around the corner. Under the porch of the cabin, she turns and sees that HAWK, COOPER, SHERIFF TRUMAN and DR. HAYWARD are hanging back a distance away.
LOG LADY
Come on then. My log does not judge.
She walks into her cabin.
CUT TO:
INT. LOG LADY'S CABIN - DAY
From inside the cabin we watch SHERIFF TRUMAN put his rifle down and DR. HAYWARD puts his walking stick down on a bench just outside the door way. A teapot can be heard whistling from the stove. HAWK, SHERIFF TRUMAN and DR. HAYWARD enter but stand near the door. COOPER stands underneath the doorway, just behind them. The LOG LADY pours the hot water from the kettle into a teapot.
LOG LADY
I've got tea. I've got cookies. No cake.
COOPER
That's very kind of you ma'am but I don't believe that we...
HAWK puts his hand up to silence COOPER.
HAWK
What kind of cookies?
LOG LADY
Sugar. The owls won't see us in here.
HAWK turns to SHERIFF TRUMAN, nods and moves to take a seat at the table. DR. HAYWARD follows suit.
DR. HAYWARD
(removes his hat) Cup'a tea would be very nice.
COOPER and SHERIFF TRUMAN are still at the door. COOPER moves to talk to him but is interrupted by ...
LOG LADY
Shut your eyes and you'll burst into flames.
SHERIFF TRUMAN
(smiles) Thanks Margaret.
The LOG LADY places the teapot onto the table and sits down. SHERIFF TRUMAN and COOPER move to take a seat at the table.
LOG LADY
We'll let it steep.
COOPER moves to grab a sugar cookie from a nearby tray. The LOG LADY slaps his hand as he touches a cookie.
LOG LADY
Wait for the tea. The fish aren't running.
HAWK grins at him.
SHERIFF TRUMAN
You've been expecting us Margaret?
LOG LADY
Your two days late ... but that's your concern. My log saw something. Something significant.
COOPER
What did your log see?
LOG LADY
Tea first. Then be ready.
She pours each of them a cup of tea.
SHERIFF TRUMAN
(after she pours him some tea) Thanks.
LOG LADY
My husband was a logging man.
COOPER
Oh.
LOG LADY
He met the devil. Fire is the devil hiding like a coward in the smoke.
DR. HAYWARD
It was the day after the wedding. Wasn't it Margaret?
HAWK
The wood holds many spirits. Doesn't it Margaret?
The LOG LADY picks up her log off the floor beside her, puts it in her arms and holds it towards COOPER.
LOG LADY
You can ask it now.
COOPER looks to SHERIFF TRUMAN, who nods to him to go on. COOPER bends slightly toward the log and says ...
TUNE: WALKING IN THE DARK (MIX)
COOPER
What did you see that night? The night Laura Palmer was killed.
LOG LADY
Sshhh, (pats the log) I'll do the talking. Dark. Laughing. The owls were flying. Many things were blocked. Laughing. Two men, two girls. Flashlights pass by in the woods over the ridge. The owls were near. The dark was-was pressing in on her. Quiet then. Later, footsteps. One man pass by. Screams far away. Terrible, terrible. One voice.
COOPER
Man or girl?
LOG LADY
Girl. Further up, over the ridge. The owls were silent.
It is now Day 2. You have 24 hours to find out who murdered Laura Palmer, and prosecute them.

Yay for no death. Now we are faced with another lynch, going into a work/school day, and no real consensus on how we are going to deal with it.
I am pretty sure I don;t want to do the "one man, one vote" thing again, but not sure what else to do. Should we systematically remove people from the poll (figuratively) and just not vote for them, different ones each night, and vote normally otherwise? We have an odd number of voters, so any plan involving a tie would only work if we did the same thing as before, OR if someone agreed in advance to abstain from voting.
If we do the spread thing some people have mentioned (or the normal lynch with some people left out) how would we even figure out who to leave out?
Any ideas?

My thought is that we should play it like a normal lynch, except the last few people to vote should intentionally not pick anyone already picked (preferably, they'd lock down people they suspect of being bad). Then we end up with normal lynching on suspicion, half the pool being prevented from performing NKs, and we get to count the NKs and tighten the suspect pool every round.

Yay no death!
My thought on it SVS would be to leave whoever off the poll who people seem most sure at the time is a civ and not recruited. For me right now it would be you, Kate or me.
I do think we should discuss who is bad and possibly recruited and make sure they get votes.
Still no need to spread the votes too far out but just enough.

These both seem like good ideas, I do like Nevins idea of the last few voters spreading it a bit, so covering people does not affect the lynch based on suspicions. Today will be more like a Day One than a Day Two in that on Day One, we learned nothing from the poll and the voting, or very little. But each day, we will learn more.
At this point i feel pretty good about Roxy, BWT, Kate and (although Kate differs here) I feel OK about Nevin. I am a bit conflicted re BF, and unsure otherwise.

So just so I'm sure I've got it clear, the plan is to run it like a normal lynch until getting the most suspicious person is more or less assured, and then for the last few people to vote probable civs?
I think that's a very sound plan, since the baddies constitute a pretty small voting block right now. It should both cover our butts and give us a shot at getting one of them. Though as SVS (I think?) said, this lynch is basically a Day 1.
Has anyone been getting anything from the Log Lady's little rambles before the posts? When I read them I feel like there are hidden clues in there somewhere, but I haven't gleaned anything useful yet.
For what it's worth I tend to believe Nevinera's defense for the moment. He(?) was wrongfully lynched twice in MOTU just now, so maybe his style draws suspicion. We are following his suggestion for the lynch plan as well, it seems.

Wholeheartedly agree. Though I suppose we can't assume it will stay that way.
We do have a decent way to figure out logically who Horne is, but since he's so far almost certainly good, we should probably leave that alone until we have evidence he's switched.

Sorry I have been MIA guys. I was out of town with minimal internet. Catching up now.
I read Nevinera vs. Kate as Civ on Civ, since I know a thing or two about his play style and I would expect it to ping people early (much as my own does.) I do think the plan of spreading out once there is a clear winner in the lynch poll is a good one, but I don't really have a strong sense of whom to lynch yet. I think probably someone who has been quiet, flying under the radar. Perhaps Russ, perhaps Vompatti.

I do think the plan of spreading out once there is a clear winner in the lynch poll is a good one, but I don't really have a strong sense of whom to lynch yet. I think probably someone who has been quiet, flying under the radar. Perhaps Russ, perhaps Vompatti.
I think we should probably lynch bf or Russ instead of me because I'm not Bob.
You're not Bob? I hadn't thought of that!

Just because he's says he's not Bob doesn't mean he isn't. Of course, it doesn't mean he is, either.
