Here's the short of it: Mac responds to nova's post "I hope Mac's a witch" with "No, I'm not, and neither are you." Sabie then asks about the interaction because it feels weird, and Mac replies to sabie that it "it was nothing." then decides to put his vote on her.

I thought his response to sabie was something like "thats a whole lot of nothing sable" which I thought meant he thought sable was making a mountain our of a mole hill. I could be completely wrong in my assumption of course.
