Actually, the median age world wide is below 32.

So Sean is, as I am, statistically older than most.

A few things I wanna say before we get started for those of you who don’t know. Champs, particularly in qualifiers is incredibly scumsided. The current stats are 54 wolf wins to 19 town wins for qualifiers. Not only that but from what I know there has only ever been one town sweep in qualifier game for champs, and my goal is for us to be the second . Few things I’ve picked up from that game and previous champs games this year that I think might be important for us to incorporate and areas where I picked up previous towns went wrong

-This point may already be obvious to some but : the most important thing you can do as a villager is make yourself an obvious villager. The last town that swept was led by Jjj/spf and they encouraged a playstyle that focussed heavily on finding other townies first before hunting for wolves and the best way to facilitate that is by making yourself an obvious townie and taking yourself out of the miselimination pool and working with open communication to find other townies. Champs by nature encourages a glory hunting playstyle where people want to be the one who catches wolves before everyone and be the one to bury wolves but the most successful towns have always been the ones that focussed more on working with each other and finding other townies before trying to bury wolves. If we can all do our part to raise the bar of towniness wolves will eventually out themselves and either be forced to push obvious townies and further out themselves, bus each other or just give up and lolcat.

- if the game starts too feel too easy it probably means there’s something wrong. The stats don’t lie, this is favored for wolves which means it’s not supposed to be easy for us. People often go for the easiest/least accountable votes on d1 but keep in mind wolves have teammates and I’ve rarely seen wolves bus hard d1 in champs. So if the entire lobby is dogpiling on one or two slots d1 don’t get complacent because we could be way off.

Some introduction. Hi! I am Boq tbh. Happy to be here. I am a meme man. I haven't really played much with anyone here aside from Creature. I had a horrible champ season during season 7, but JJJ is one of the few peeps who made it worthy to remember. So I am happy to see him here! That time I was a very sad townie and I hope I can do better now.

I'm currently on a voyage to rebuild my town game so I can actually be good at it tbh. I agree with JJJ's early assessment about the set-up and how town fail at it.

This will be my approach this game:

I will post a lot, but be careful not to drown the thread. I like doing quick reads and see where they lead me.

I will keep an eye on the politics of the game tbh

My main strat is just a pain for the scum. Misreadings are likely to happen, but the more town I will identify in the thread, the more stressed scum will be. The path to victory for town is to stress wolves out tbh. My agenda is to force wolves to silence me.

With that said, I will play for finding town reads first and foremost and be more restrictive with scum reads. We'll see how things plays out tbh.
Wow this is a much better opening than I have ever done.

Regarding the "not say your wolf leans on D0" thing I asked Creature about. I mentioned that there are some reasons and given Creature has now replied, I will say mine.

Scum reads tend to make people defensive/emotional. Since D0 seems to be jokish, I reckon it could from one perspective ruin the "chill phase" and from another perspective, give scum hints on how to act accordingly.

I am not really pro hiding thoughts, but I think it is better to focus on town reads. I did have a dude on my ol' homesite who was great at sniffing out scum in our N1 phases tho (we had N1 starting before D1 and open night chat for everyone) by just looking at how players acted, if they were nervous etc.

Creature's response is lol and creature-esque. I'm not really satisfied, but it is D0 so!

I have only read your game's lylo atm but that was very typical of a champ qualifier at least tbh!

What spurred you to write your heads-up wall (the one about how this set-up works etc.)?
read the message i sent after it

Kinda out of nowhere tbh
This is a bit of a meme between myself and Ender, we Tin foil each other so dont take it too seriously. BUT Keep an eye on him
It was the "I refuse to scumhunt on D0" part I found to be out of nowhere, but is Ender open about this approach as either alignment during D0?
If Ender is in the game, he is in his scum range.
Hehe funny tbh
Answer my question though tbh?

especially in the mafia community that i’ve seen thus far, quite enjoyable being around people that are genuinely mature imo

I am somewhat familiar with everyone in this lobby.

Including you after speccing your game so much lol
lmao, that’s reassuring
Hi.
hello, how are ya?
Tired and distracted, you?
focused and well rested
Ender, did you write your "I refuse to scum hunt on D0" post because of this Lucy post?
It's certainly possible.

Not every mafia space is always mature tbh.

But there's a lot of good ones.

Boquise wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 6:33 pm Regarding the "not say your wolf leans on D0" thing I asked Creature about.

This is way more thought than I've put into the game so far...

...

tbh.
