Just looks fake, and that it's an interaction with Mac amplifies the issue.Lunalee wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 11:30 amHow can you have such a different opinion on Kites's post? Crazy. It didn't look good to me at all (unless we aren't both talking about his read post?)MacDougall wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:59 am Okay I just reaalised how stupid it is to make a post for each person so here's one post for everyone left
Jesus fuck that Kites wall post is gold. I'm gonna read it some more after I get back to it but it's the biggest town look so far. So much sincerity.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 12:16 pm I don't think niju's vote at EOD1 looks bad as an attempt to save Mac. Mac wasn't likely to be saved at that point, as the tally was 8-4 in his favor with seven minutes remaining to the deadline.
I just think her rationale for placing the vote regardless of where looked cooked.

Idk, I don’t get much out of the tone of the reasons for inactivity. I think it’s easy to fake a sincere sounding excuse or apology for not doing something. I know I’m guilty of doing it plenty of times so maybe I just think everyone does itJaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 12:22 pm I have no reason at all to call leetic a civilian. There are no interactive points in his favor, and none of his posts look particularly "good" to me.
Neverwhere has at a few isolated moments exhibited a decent tone. This apology is an example. I like this tone too. It's not much, but it's more than zero.
I thought her Jack interactions were a slight positive tick for Luna. More tha zero.
7 of niju's 11 posts feature some kind of comment relating to her not being here. To be fair Neverwhere's ratio is similar. Among the four though niju is the only one for whom I have active suspicion.
Could be. It was close enough to the deadline that I am not sure it's so simple. When a wagon is secured on a mafioso and people tack on meaningless votes at the end, those are often the ones that get accused of bussing (trying to salvage some credit once they realize they have to lose a member). Some people will deliberately avoid that.

I think I've already posted that but if you missed it I'm not a fan. We were doing fine without a limited pool of targets. He says he based it off the GTH but as I recall that was only a few people. I'm not sure whether the power can go both ways or not, he says it's always been civ when he's seen it but this is a weird game.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 12:54 pm Y'all should tell me how you feel about DDL bringing us this poll.
Any reason you chose reywaS over Elohcin?Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 8:43 am- Look at the GTH we just did. It's probably a low poster.
- Getting the low posters to post.
- Getting people to talk about them.
- Removing myself from the poll for a while.
- Confirming my role, which historically is a civ one.
- Knocking mafia out of their confort zone. Mafia hates randomness.
It was DDL who said mafia hated randomness.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:32 pm Jay, I’m not sure I buythat this is a civ move on DDL’s part. But I don’t see why he would claim it so willingly as a baddie either.
Someone said mafia hate randomness, I don’t recall who it was, but I completely disagree with that idea. Methodical discussion and eliminating people as suspects is what gets civs the win, so random is the opposite of good for civs generally speaking.
I will say it is a risk as a baddie to make a smaller pool unless you are certain that your team won’t be in it.
He said it was the lowest four posters at the time he used the power. Did Luna have less posts than kites though?

It's a variant on that role, not quite the same thing. He had the same role in the bulbagarden game many of us just played. That's why I thought he was making a joke.juliets wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:36 pmIs that what it's called? When you can have bts with others? I thought I was going crazy. He posted about it 6 times, so I couldn’t understand the joke. But we have no proof of it. Just Luna reinforcing the claim. So Mata, the host usually resolves a tie by flipping a coin or having a role in the game that decides who gets lynched if there is a tie. I'm still puzzled as to how that helps you. Was there something that I missed in this game that said ties are resolved differently that would help you clear up another suspect? I'm sorry I'm so dense.
I assume she means that if there is a tie and one of these people in the tie are bad with someone not int he tie, their vote could be telling.juliets wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 2:04 pmSo Mata, the host usually resolves a tie by flipping a coin or having a role in the game that decides who gets lynched if there is a tie. Thanks Mata, and yeah I'm not a fan of the restricted poll either.Matahari wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 2:15 pm @juliets it’s just that I’d like to see how people react to the possibility of a tie. How many times votes change, etc.
So this sounds very hypocritical, even though I’m in favor of playing around with the voting to help me out with my suspect list, I’m very opposed to the restricted poll. I’m having a difficult time believing there is anything town about that ability.

I disagree. Generally abilities hitting people at random results in revealed baddies and vigged baddies, which means much more for the baddies than the civs. I've lost count of how many games I hosted where I gave the mafia the ability to randomize someone's actions and it ended up backfiring on them. While in terms of thread, a game where town is constantly attacking different people and not following predictable patterns means more things for mafia to react to. Mafia likes a game that follows a smooth lynch order which they can control.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 1:32 pm Jay, I’m not sure I buythat this is a civ move on DDL’s part.
