Upset is a strong characterization, but yeah, I wanted to double check that SD's unlocki g of the thread was Ok'd by the host before proceeding. That had very little to do with in-game stuff, however, and was more about making sure the game was still on track. It had absolutely nothing to do with DF, at all, which is why I'm confused by his statement.

Day 7: Don't Be a Sock Block

We recently discussed the Scorsese film Hugo, which features plotlines in regards to George Melies, who produced A Trip to the Moon.
Have a peek, it's 12 mins.

By the way, Metalmarsh was Uwe Boll.
It is now Night 7.

It was locked with four hours or so to go, I didn't manage to vote either. Still, a weird lockdown. Does it usually require the Host to unlock it or did Epig forget about us? And what was MM trying to achieve with it?

Perhaps rather than BIH I should say, "Straight to video Uwe Boll" :meany:

That's nicer, and more theme appropriate :)

I'm not sure for how long it lasts, I was under the impression it lasts until the day is over? The role desccription doesn't say. If so that would be why it wasn't unlocked maybe.

Hard to tell from the previous one, either, since that was both closer to the poll's end and possibly tampered by the mod-players here, with Spacedaisy opening it on the last minutes.

It was an accident last time, the host could have not counted those votes had she chosen to. I think it was supposed to last 2 or 3 hours.

Straight To Video, Uwe Boll!

I am very relieved that MM was indeed a baddie. So many suspected him all game, and it never quite went through until now... if he had turned up Civvie, that would have been, like, the last straw.

Why did he lock the thread while he was vote leader? Why wouldn't he wait and see if DF would overtake him? Perhaps DF is on his team? I don't really buy that (though I think DF is bad), but I lack a better reason for the locking of the thread at a point where Uwe gets lynched.

Paul W.S. Anderson is the clear choice for me. I haven't been too passionate about any of the movies the other two have made... and although WS has made a number of questionable movies, I do like the choices he makes in what to direct. Cool subject matter, cool scenes, characteristically short on plot... but if you go into them knowing that, they are pretty cool movies.

I was right! MM was the most suspicious of the discussees before the previous lock. But I really don't know why he'd do it when he's the vote leader. It definitely seemed like most of the remaining voters were going for MM anyway, so maybe he just wanted to cause chaos?

I don't want to speculate too much about this event because people don't seem to like it when I do. :p

Bye MM!

Bit redundant answering something about PTA in a poll, but no contest there.

The fact that we had to wait not two-three hours, not four (end of D7), but a whole extra day until Mongoose was available to unlock this makes it completely confusing for me to assess what MM was trying to pull. He wasn't very optimistic about his chances before the lockdown - Bass wanted to vote for him, but forgot to; even so, he was two votes away from an insurmountable tally. Chaos, as DF puts it, would have meant to he was expecting the lockdown to end before the poll. In which case, the Host / mods may have inadvertedly foiled his plan.

Since he was Uwe Boll, I am thinking it was a "use it or lose it" kind of thing, lets have a bit of chaos, frustrate the civs, etc. since we won't be able to use it after he's dead. Or maybe Faraday is a teammate as LC suggests. Both Faraday & LC were making feints at him.

Also went with PT.
