I can't believe I didn't notice that before. Dom wasn't around on Night 4, hence no kill from the Moria Goblins. And no one killed on Night 6.

But Epi, that doesn't mean your theory about Kyle is completely hosed.

Dom. Who has missed four. (although he was temporarily dead for one of those.) What follows is a summary of Dom's contributions since his resurrection.

Is tonight's special event on its way?

Night 9 -- Moon-Light on the Shelf

Image

The group was feeling restless as the sun finally set. They were waiting eagerly for the Moon to appear, hoping that the light would illuminate a hole for the key they had carried with them from their valiant, departed leader's body.

Eventually, something did appear, but it was no key-hole. Instead, the sheer rock face behind them (a little too sheer and perfect, some of them now noticed) was slowly highlighted. It looked as if quicksilver, shining with its own light, traveled down from the top of the rock face in time with the moon's rising. The effect was subtle, but after a time they could make it out: an arch covered the bottom half of the rock face. It was surmounted by a great four-pointed star, and its walls were traced with moon-silver in the forms of leaves. A pair of silver oliphaunts flanked it. In the middle of the arch were two lines, one vertical and one horizontal, and surrounded by a box. These lines divided the rock face into four distinct panels. Above it was scrawled something in a strange rune they had not seen before.

Image

Some believed them to be dwarfish, but Thorin was gone, and with him all knowledge of the ancient scripts of his forefathers. So the group set about trying to figure out what they meant, and what to do with them to get to the Dragon's treasure.

The Runes are tonight's riddle. The first player to solve them will earn 400 gold, the second 300, the third 200, and all others who correctly PM me their meaning will earn 100.

You must decipher the Runes in order to enter the Lonely Mountain, and have 48 hours in which to do so. Good luck.

This made me wonder when INH said to not trust llama. I figured looking at his role might reveal something, but I've got nothing. Anybody think is means anything now, or is it still a boldfaced lie? Because I thought it was the latter at first, but now I wonder...

Linki: Bye bitch. :feb:
I remember early when I started playing there had been several roles/events where someone created a riddle/task and someone had a certain amount of time to figure it out or died. Not saying this is definitely what happened, I have no idea what did, but it reminds me of that.

I just got home and see the results but haven't read the lynch conversation from today. Wow - looks like i missed a lot since INH wasn't even in the conversation when I last read the thread. I see llama brought up Dom for missing 4 votes ( and maybe the night pms is I think what you were implying) and it turned out he was bad (though I'm not grasping yet how he died) so good for you llama RIP INH, I didn't suspect you but i can't say I was ready to call you civ. Sorry you were deaded though. I'll be interested in what the arguments were for your baddiness.

I have an appointment at noon tomorrow that will take a while so I'm not quite sure when I'll have a chance to read and react to the pre-lynch discussion but I will at least be ready by the start of day if not during the night (mafia day and night).

Oh and RIP Dom sorry you are out of the game but BIH to the goblin you are.

to elaborate, when i'm bad i usually tend to rely on my teammates to send in powers and kills and stuff. especially when i'm busy or distracted. i guess that's a moot point though because the part of the case about possibly being the last moria goblin is invalid. *goes to find the actual case*

There is that slight possibility with INH, but I don't think that's the case.

As for the team death announcement being delayed, the last Moria goblin could have been killed no earlier than Night 8, because they made a kill that night. That would leave CBK as the other option. Player reads aside, I don't think that happened.

I don't feel comfortable with this observation. I agree with it, but the motivation for it seems questionable. What suddenly gave you the idea that the goblin thief might be dead?
