Diiny early game was strange and since getting some suspicion thrown at him has dropped post count massively, which is a pretty good scum tell.
Will you join my MattF lynchparty? It's pretty fun. We have pie and punch.

Well I noticed that the other two you named in the same category both had a brief explanation as to why they were there. I didn't. Which makes it look like you threw my name out quite arbitrarily. Given there's only one reason anyone is saying I'm bad, the easiest assumption to make is that you did it to gain the approval of a certain confirmed civ. Or maybe I'm just trying to discredit you.bcornett24 wrote:Golden does not formulate my opinions, the rainbow was my reaction to you based on reading the thread. Aside from his Sorsha vote, Matt probably isn't bad. Let's not throw any lynchparties just yet.MacDougall wrote:Based on what? Dude why are you playing so weird? You are usually better than this.![]()

Right now I am very torn on Devin and Sorsha. I think I like the evidence more for Devin and they've both been okay in self-defense. I'm leaning toward a Devin vote. I'm flying back to the UK today so it'll be a quiet phase for me.

On top of this, I have this gut feeling that won't go away. I think lynching Sorsha will give us good information on who her teammates might be as well. But again, I think Floyd if bad. Maybe I ought to look at the link between the two of them and make my decision on who I ought to vote forMacDougall wrote:
Sorsha's play being scum is well documented, you only have to look at her recent posts to get a sense of posting nervously as scum playing poorly with a lynch on them tend to do.

I have been bad with Matt before and he was a little zaney. I don't see too much zaney here. But of course it has been a long time and people change. I have a hard time trusting anyone in Mafia so even though Matt is the only one making me laugh recently, I am always open to listening to suspicions. What is it that pings you about him?MacDougall wrote:I'm actually unvoting sorsha and changing my vote to MattF. Something about him is not what it seems my friends. Btw, If he is lynched I will need you to take his place in making me laugh.

Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned it so I will. I think Epi is silenced today. Either that or he just really is not caring about this game. I know he has a lot going on with other games and RL, but it isn;t like him not to care.

Re: [DAY 4] Talking Heads Mafia (RYM #90)
How is that a mindfuck? I've voted Sorsha the last two days, and last night felt like doing the same. I have a mild ping on you based on LC's comments and want to know what others think of it, but right now, you are below the radar compared to Sorsha, Devin, and Floyd.MacDougall wrote:Wow this is a mindfuck. You're putting a seventh vote on sorsha instead of a second on me? What the fuck is that about?
How is it townreading? I said I didn't know if he was town or scum. Also, never played with JJJ, of all people in fact, so I was not aware he always posts this much, regardless of affiliation.Ricochet wrote:That's pretty weak townreading. Why wouldn't JJJ, of all people in fact, be able to cultivate his persona to seem like everything is in check and he's posting the way he always does?Matt F wrote:Linki - I have no idea if JJJ is civvie or scum, but if he is able to post the billions of posts he's posted this game, while also having the time to plan with a team, then kudos to him.

I don't think I ping him at all. He didn't want Sorsha lynched yesterday, today comes out balls to the wall against Sorsha, voting her first and everything, and then sees my fun behavior and decides it might be worth it to try and come after me instead, I guess?Elohcin wrote:I have been bad with Matt before and he was a little zaney. I think it's very curious how he came out so strong against Sorsha today, but suddenly flips a switch 24 hours before deadline.

I decided to link to this post instead of quoting it since it's so damn long. I think a lot of thought has gone into this post. Two people that stand out to me is Epignosis and Russ.
I'm not used to Epi have a positive look at LC. He often thinks LC is bad and leaves him alone as neutral. With all the crap that was going on with LC I'm surprised he didn't jump on the lynch train himself. He has gone after him for less.
Russ didn't seem to want to make up his mind. Now I would have to go back and read Russ to make up my mind on him as well but if I recall his was a last minute vote changer as well.
After reading this particular post I have no suspicion of Sorsha. Sorsha and LC have been playing together for eons and they respect each other. LC has been really bad at reading her, she is a hard player to read. I believe that to be an honest assessment.
This is not a new tactic LC has used and he often does try it as a civvie, not surprised she believed him. Hell I would have.
Anyways, I'm not voting for Sorsha today. I'd be surprised if she was bad.

Basically both Mac and motel brought up some interpretations of what Flowers might have done with his D1 vote and then LC sussed them both for talking about it. I already pointed out this suspicion looks fake, since LC was of course Flowers himself. But it still counts as LC putting heat on Mac for this.

Can't get it on my phone right now, but Mac had the single towniest indicator among all of my LC interaction analyses. It's about his conversation with LC about the Flowers role.
If you're to vote for Mac, please go get my analysis and tell me where you disagree. I think that would be an awful lynch.

Anyway, still waiting on Golden. If he doesn't respond, I'll be keeping my vote on Sorsha today, and wondering why MacD didn't want her lynched yesterday, wanted her lynched today, then totally switched it up against me with clever posters that don't explain dick.

What does everyone think about MM?
Then, what does everyone think about MM's "death wishes / death-deserving" posts? I'm seeing them in my revisit of Day 4 and they give me pause. MM's banter and evasive game can serve both his good or bad persona, but those posts suddenly make me think a bit back to how a civvie MM can usually tend to act hinty. Anyone seeing anything of this nature?

My home site, Jesus Toast Mafia, is named after a term we coined "Jesus Toast." It's seeing Christ on rye, so to speak, some big conspiracy that ties everything up in a neat little bow when there's really nothing there.JaggedJimmyJay wrote:Can a man get a reason?RadicalFuzz wrote:Mac, if you're confident all three are bad vote J3 with me.

That's what I'm seeing with you. You're holding to your Long Con analyses, which are good sources of information, but seem to be almost ignoring new, relevant information. You're quick to call people town, which on its own isn't a bad thing, but it's off-putting for some reason I can't put my finger on. You play the cooperative townie, not confrontational but prodding with just enough frequency to get responses.
I know there's no fair defense to what mostly amounts to a gut feeling, and I apologize for that.

Anyone seeing anything of this nature?

I also asked MacDougall if he thought LC was doing what you are suggesting, and he said "Possible but not likely". Why do you suppose MacD doesn't think that's what LC was doing?JaggedJimmyJay wrote:Yeah, I hear you. Ricochet - I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure MM was punished by the host for either missing a vote or missing Night PM. Other posters have also posted stuff like "You should lynch me" as a direct result of punishment from MP, so I'm seeing the same thing there.
Linki - Yeah what my scummate Bullz said.

Oh, so right now he's like a Lannister who's punished to walk butt naked through TH-ville, with MP walking behind dressed like a nun, telling him to recite the poem and shouting "Shame!"?
Ok lol.
Yes, Bullz, it gave me the impression of summoning people to lynch or kill him, for some fireworks - although I have no idea where to ballpark that, as of yet or what he'd achieve. As I've said, civ MM can start being subtle about it, especially if under heat. But this punishment also makes sense.

Re: [DAY 4] Talking Heads Mafia (RYM #90)
MM is not crazy or evil enough to be a Lannister. I know that says a lot. I also don't think he'd be pushing people to kill him, he's definitely just being punished. I've never seen him deliberately try to get killed off as far as I remember.Ricochet wrote:Oh, so right now he's like a Lannister who's punished to walk butt naked through TH-ville, with MP walking behind dressed like a nun, telling him to recite the poem and shouting "Shame!"?

Oh damn, I just noticed I posted my big read just a few posts short of the 3K mark. That would have been symbolic. Oh well.

As for what I think of MM, I basically don't at this point. I know he hasn't been around but I feel like I haven't seen anything from him at all and don't really have much of a read on him. That said, what I have seen so far doesn't make me think he's bad.

Re: [DAY 4] Talking Heads Mafia (RYM #90)
For all the green skittles I've handed him, I must say MacDougall's tactical lynch suggestion is worth a grimace even from me. Maybe it's a culture difference thing, but no, I'd never try to improvise a potential mislynch only to garner info from it rather than focusing on voting my top mafia lead. Besides, he speaks of comfort in doing this move at this stage, but I'm not so sure. Unless Memories Can't Wait was already offed by the mafia or the SK, a mafia lead would give us the best outcome: 0 civilian losses throughout an entire cycle (with the N being skipped). The opposite of this result is that, unless the mafia clips the SK or the SK is good/lucky at taking out mafia players, a mislynch would be followed by 2 more civilian victims, throughout a phase. Right now, I'm not saying the civ cause is either doing well or in a bad situation (so-so, I'd say), but again, unless Memories was toast during the Night, 0 civilian losses and 1 mafia burn is the maximum good result town can achieve, so it should naturally be the mentality to follow the most.

Re: [DAY 4] Talking Heads Mafia (RYM #90)
Besides, I don't recall him writing whom he suspects for having boarded the Sorsha train on D3, in the scenario that Sorsha is town (which I get that he doesn't believe too much, but he still brings it up). Why prefer to analyse retroactively, in the case of a Sorsha mislynch, where the mafia went with that, rather than coming up with hunches on how the mafia might have already behaved on a near Sorsha lynch?
Re: [DAY 4] Talking Heads Mafia (RYM #90)
Golden gave no smilies, not even a 1.
Keeping vote on Sorsha for now. Still have about an hour and a half before I leave.
Also, MM was posting a bunch earlier, hasn't posted anything in the last few days (I believe he said he was somewhere with no internet signal?), and I haven't ISO'd him yet. Assuming I'm not lynched today, I'll give him a read when I get home from work.
