Epi has been on my sus list this game because he's been treating me different from in past games as well. It seems like he nearly always thinks I'm bad and goes after me. This game would give him a perfect shot at that and he's not taking it. I know a lot of players have him down as civ but I would not be shocked at all if he's actually the serial killer.Black Rock wrote:http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 40#p184571
I decided to link to this post instead of quoting it since it's so damn long. I think a lot of thought has gone into this post. Two people that stand out to me is Epignosis and Russ.
I'm not used to Epi have a positive look at LC. He often thinks LC is bad and leaves him alone as neutral. With all the crap that was going on with LC I'm surprised he didn't jump on the lynch train himself. He has gone after him for less.
Russ didn't seem to want to make up his mind. Now I would have to go back and read Russ to make up my mind on him as well but if I recall his was a last minute vote changer as well.
After reading this particular post I have no suspicion of Sorsha. Sorsha and LC have been playing together for eons and they respect each other. LC has been really bad at reading her, she is a hard player to read. I believe that to be an honest assessment.Just a copy and paste I didn't keep the fancy colouring.Sorsha
votes LC... for CEO spot (good leadership)
D1 implies she read something into LC's bait tactic, but later questions his choice for bea; finds his replies unrealistic
doesn't find LC to have backpedalled
===
> agreed with b24 on BWT's case, voted BWT
This is not a new tactic LC has used and he often does try it as a civvie, not surprised she believed him. Hell I would have.
Anyways, I'm not voting for Sorsha today. I'd be surprised if she was bad.

I had even less time than I hoped today, and I hoped for relatively little. Voting Sorsha based on previous pings, the way yesterday went down vote-wise, and because she has enough votes that it could actually matter.
If so, I want evidence of this, because I am almost certain that, in the times we have played together, I rarely ever went after you.Sorsha wrote:Epi has been on my sus list this game because he's been treating me different from in past games as well. Lynching someone just for clues instead of lynching Mafia which would most likely skip the Night phase and thus prevent two kills?MacDougall wrote:I think we really have to lynch sorsha. I feel like it's the key to breaking the game open today. She either flips scum and leaves behind a tasty breadcrumb trail, or flips town and leaves behind a tasty breadcrumb trail. Trusting Golden again seems like a nice way to get another townie killed. We've got a scum dead inside the first four days in a large game. We can afford a tactical lynch. Sorsha is a good lynch candidate for up front scum play as well as being the best possible lynch from a tactical perspective. Short of someone saying "I am scum" my vote won't be changing today.
Sorsha's play being scum is well documented, you only have to look at her recent posts to get a sense of posting nervously as scum playing poorly with a lynch on them tend to do.
DrWilgy... Are you tunneling me because I said you were scum in that Jimmy's game? Oh my God, u suck brah.
Sorsha wrote:This just seems really idealistic but not very realistic. I think you’d just have easily lynched a civ with that tactic. Its easy to say that bwt didn’t look suspicious after we know he was town but his behavior during the last lynch (flip flopping between sig and bea and then back again). I’m wondering why you wouldn’t have found him suspicious for following your lead on bea. I know you said you didn't think he was suspicious because he found his own reason but, if you hadn't of posted your case on bea I doubt he'd have looked at her.Long Con wrote:I chose bea because I saw the opportunity to make the case I did based on the things she had said. She's a good target for this kind of thing, because unlike Epig or Golden or Llama, she's less likely to take an accusation like that and run with it until it's a big polarized head-to-head between me and my accused. My ideal outcome would have been for someone from The Syndicate to take my points and agree with them and vote for bea, revealing themselves as someone willing to go along with a case because it looks good on the surface. Following this, a baddie lynch, led by me, as I humbly accept cheering Civvie accolades. Alternate ideal: bea actually is a baddie and scumslips in some way in response to the accusation.Sorsha wrote:RIPIYWG guys
Long Con can you explain why you chose bea and what your ideal outcome would have been yesterday?
Time will tell I guess.More realistic: it develops some conversation where I get some pings from people and keep them in mind as the game progresses. However, despite opinions that it was a convincing argument, it ended up being too clumsy, and most of the conversation was about me instead, which was less helpful. It could still bear fruit, as the lynches go on - when we end up lynching a baddie, I'll be checking up on their response, if any, to the situation. Maybe someone who accused me of being bad will end up being bad, which will necessitate a second look at bea.

Look at the last two games we played. Gentlemen's guide you were after me on day one which led to it being me vs you and led to your lynch (we were both civs there) and in recruitment you tried calling me a liar for saying I was unrecruited (and I wasn't recruited at that point) a day or two later you attempted to nk me, by that time I was recruited and was a civ. I also don't see how getting myself killed (since I was the civilian recruiter) was lucky for you if you were a civilian, but okay.
I could go through every game we've been in together and I can demonstrate that your characterization of me in this way (and therefore suspecting me for not fitting into your mold of perception) is inaccurate if I must.
I'd rather do other things tonight though.

In all fairness, can you not see how the fact it's a very recent experience would make her use language like that? If someone acted a certain way toward you in two of the past two games, you might say something similar. I mean not you specifically since you're a great lover of proper English, but some people might be inclined to do that. I probably would.Epignosis wrote: Last two games =/= "nearly always."
Casual language is all well and good, but it's my responsibility to point out when something isn't true, because over two dozen other people will read those words and take an incorrect appraisal of me. It is, after all, part of her rationale for suspecting me, so it is in my best interest to counter it.Bullzeye wrote:In all fairness, can you not see how the fact it's a very recent experience would make her use language like that? There's a few people I want to study (Devin is one), but at this stage my opinion on Russtifinko hasn't changed.Bullzeye wrote:I am going to *Vote for Devin*. Two of his voters so far are people I feel moderately-to-very good about, and I think JJJ in particular raised decent points against him. Therefore I'm casting my vote sort of tactically for someone I think is more likely to be bad in hopes we can lynch a baddie rather than a civ today. So by tactically I suppose I just mean "how one is supposed to".
I don't get why you've switched from Sorsha, at one point saying you wont switch for anything less than someone saying "i am scum", to Matt F because of a few "pings". This is a significant bandwagon.MacDougall wrote:I'm actually unvoting sorsha and changing my vote to MattF. Something about him is not what it seems my friends. And I aim to get to the bottom of it.
