It's been said already, but that's not the usage of the term in this mafia realm. In 8 years of playing on this and its mafia-cousin-sites, I have never heard the term used that way. So, while it is possible that they switched things up in order to screw with us, I don't think it's likely that they would make a role description mean something totally different from what the vast majority of players understand it to mean.

That said, you raise a good point with it not making sense for it to be so obvious. Same reason that I speculated that perhaps the joker's role secrets include the ability to insanify. Or, as you point out, the possibility that there is a failsafe for the person who targeted the joker naming their target.

Also, I respectfully request that you not use the word retard or retarded--it is offensive.

Here's another example of Epignosis giving one of his roles the ability to "make insane" another player.

I've been waiting since yesterday for an answer from Bubbles. That's all I really want. I still cannot fathom a way that her post about Dom yesterday wasn't made up.

And I don't generally let people I think are bad influence my vote one way or another, especially not with multiple teams and many bad indies. Sometimes, I'll agree with someone as a player, even if I think that first player is bad. It doesn't mean that they're wrong about somone else. Just like a civie isn't necessarily right about someone else.

Have you played with Bubbles before? She is the queen of shady vote posts, it means nothing when it comes to her alignment.

One would think that if people suspect her every game for the same behavior, she'd change up her game a bit. I've played with her twice, and have the same ping from her both times. Doesn't mean I am voting for her tomorrow but man it drives me crazy if she is civ to just do a drive by vote as if she were ordering from Wendy's.

Looking back over your posts, the only thing you said about Nero was that he might be the Joker, since Matt was hinting at that. Except Matt has denied claiming Nero as the Joker, and you haven't cited any reasons since for still suspecting Nero.

Why me? Is it just over Nero? Why not someone else. What about MP?

Sorry I'm not making you feel good. I'm just doing my best at the game. And yes, the possibility of Nero being the Joker, combined with Matt's insistence that he is bad, are my main reasons for suspecting him. I assume that Matt would not be able to say he is the joker if he is. I also think that even if he is not the joker, Matt may have other reason to suspect him. So, I'm going with that. My eyeball of Sig is an eyeball, but not something I'm ready to vote based on. And Bubbles, I really just want to know why, if she isn't following the thread, seems to think that Dom is posting more than usual. And also, why she perceives Dom as a usually quiet player. Those 2 things are off to me.

What are the odds that he has a classic jester ability seen in many formats? Has Epi ever included something like that in his games?

Depends who X was. I have had my own independent suspicions of nero, recorded in the thread for posterity. But I also think there is sometimes wisdom in listening to others opinions and trying to understand the motivations behind them, and my vote for nero is a combination of the two.
