I don't believe I've ever been robbed.
Yeah I was hoping the US would get out of their group. I want them to go far just because I think it's hilarious that even they're better than us. A lot of people here think Americans don't even know what football is yet they've got out of their group (and will probably reach QFs at least) and England couldn't even win a match!

They'll go through the next game definitely, my flatmates and I have always said if USA get out of the group their 2nd round game will be the easiest they've had so far. Just a shame that Argentina will knock them out in the QFs.

I was going to say they don't have a chance, but thinking about it they probably do. Argentina should have dominated their group considering the other three teams, but they almost didn't beat Bosnia and even Iran gave them a run for their money. USA/Switzerland would actually be really interesting considering the American teams seem to be doing really well in general, half of the final 16 are American countries.

I haven't been robbed yet either. I forgot to mention that before.
I figured we had a chance to make it out of our group. But I would be totally shocked if we made it to the QFs. This team isn't good enough to beat Belgium IMO. I'd have more confidence if our back 4 were better honestly. And even if we do sneak by Belgium, we'd probably have face France in the QF, and then I would just give up on life lol

I think everyone knew Germany would win your group, being among the top 5 in the world. I expected Portugal to finish second though until they started playing. You guys almost had them beaten as well until the last minute! You were unlikely to get a win against Germany but held your own and only let one goal in. I don't know if Belgium will provide the challenge that your last three games have. The way I've read the fixtures though, you don't get France (or Germany again) until the Semi's right? It's the winner of Argentina/Switzerland next I thought. Either way you've got a tough path. This probably isn't going to be the USA's year but they've played better than a lot of teams and I hope they go far, I'd rather have a surprise than see one of the usual teams (Brazil, Argentina, etc.) win.

Yay World Cup! I think Belgium is a cool matchup. I reckon they're playing better than Portugal but definitely don't have the quality of Germany, so they'll be a good test for us. They were supposed to play a warmup match against us before the Cup started but ducked out.

Care to back that up with something other than "Because Llama says his votes make him bad despite having cast the same ones" or "Because Epig says so and admits he doesn't really have much reason to think it"? There isn't a relationship between me and Splints. I don't think we've even spoken to each other all game.

I think it's actually a little surprising that bullzeye says he has never seen that done. I feel like it has been done a lot.
I never actually said that, just that I wouldn't expect to see it done. I don't see the point of someone trying it. It's definitely not a way to gain civ cred, nobody ever uses a silencing as a reason to believe somebody is or isn't a civ. So I don't understand why Snow would suggest anyone tried to make themselves look like a civ by pretending to be silenced. It doesn't make sense.

I assume Epi saw something there that I didn't, because he thinks you're Smaug and fingers is the Mayor. It sounds like he thinks you're teammates. I saw he brought up a point about fingers a while back too about his late addition to the game and what role he might be based on that. See that here. I don't think that is what he's talking about though.

And I don't know why you keep saying that I'm following llama's lead. Looking at your vote record was Epi's suggestion anyway, but I do think he is partially incorrect in his hypothesis. And I guess I don't technically agree with llama, because even though he thinks you are a goblin, he agrees with Epi who says you are Smaug.

Yes but I said that (mistakenly) because I was denying Epig's supposed connection between us. We both know there isn't one. If I'm lynched that will be made obvious and perhaps get Epi off your back but it seems like by pointing out my mistake you're trying to disagree with me about us not being connected?

Despite bullz defensiveness I still believe him to be a wood elf, but his responses have made me reconsider my position that the wood elves are still civvie minded. (Part of the reason I thought this is I had reason to believe Dom was a wood elf and I thought he seemed civvie minded :/ )

I am absolutely not the mayor. I still don't get how it makes sense that I am, but if there is anything I can do that will make you all believe it I will.

Well if you're right about the thief there are no more than three Goblins. We haven't been told the wood elves are gone so there's one or two of those left. Smaug is presumably still with us and we don't know about the Mayor or Gollum. I would guess that out of 11 players, we've got 3 baddies, a Smaug, two Elves, and maybe as few as three civs if both Gollum and the Mayor are alive. Hopefully a Goblin or two have been NKed other than just the thief but the game looks quite close to being over if my numbers are correct.

I'm leaving town soon and won't be on later today or tomorrow. So I voted now. Epi is crazy. He probably assumed that there wouldn't be much discussion without him being involved. llama, well I don't know why he voted so early.

Linki: It is not in our objective to kill Gollum, if he is still alive. The mayor is clearly an entirely different ball game since his alignment can change, as can the elves. But, Smaug and the Goblins are on different teams, so this game is still far from decided.

I've re-read Bullz and I can't find anything that leads me to believe he is Smaug. Epig, I know it's hard for you to communicate but if you could possibly give us some guidance on what you found that led you to this belief I would be appreciative. Maybe its too complicated for you to try and do that and if that's the case I understand.

As to llama's thoughts that Bullz is a Goblin i can at least see the argument here, the votes and the strong defense of boogs if that defense took place after the other Moria's had died. I did not check that out so I still need to do that. I don't see the evidence as overwhelming, as Bullz pointed out many other people voted like him on Mongoose and INH and maybe others (I need to look at that). Those two I remember off the top of my head. So at this point I'm still exploring. Llama if there is anything you think i have missed or that I am not seeing as strong evidence then please speak up. Bullz, you worry me because of how bad you fooled me in LOST - you were brilliant but it's left me with an uneasy feeling about you. If there is anything else you think I am overlooking please speak up.

I have not read splints yet. I first need to look at Epig's posts. Seems like he said something before he was insanified about her being the mayor but i could just be confused on that point.

Boogs died before the last Moria goblin did. I defended him so strongly because I didn't see much in the case against him, I thought it was very weak so it surprised me so many people latched on and I believe even now that baddies hyped it up for their own benefit. People often bring up Lost as a reason never to trust me but the circumstances there were so unique. I'd been granted permanent btsc with you guys and allowed to show you the PM saying I had a civ role. I just never showed you the one saying I'd been recruited to the baddies which I got about a day before OA first picked me for btsc. I fooled you guys so well and fed all your info to the baddies simply because you didn't even think I was civ, you knew it for a fact. Bouncing between the two chats was risky but I was just lucky for most of that game, right up until the only person who suspected me hit me with a lynch switch. I strongly deny brilliance playing a part, it was almost entirely luck.

I voted for Llama because I just have a feeling he is bad.
I never liked his interaction with TH 2.0, because I felt he was trying to shift the thread in a direction to associate quiet TH with civvie status and vice versa. I personally didn't understand how one could feel good about someone going from very talkative to very quiet, even if in past games they have had quiet equal civvie. That adjustment just doesn't seem defend-able to me, it never did. So I think that they could potentially be teammates.
I've also had a feeling that every time I interact with Llama he tries to push something back on me.
Lastly, I know that he thinks it makes his case stronger but he often goes with cases for someone to be a Goblin or Smaug and I kind of feel like the 'or Smaug' part of the case could be because he is a Goblin and knows that the person under fire is not. I've seen people do that before, it's like in one mafia games when the baddies are searching for third-party roles. Some instances have read to me that he wants to support the suspicion of someone but ends up giving an explanation that does not fit a certain role so he later adjusts and says it could be either Smaug or baddie. I don't know how to else to explain it but it just doesn't feel genuine, and I outlined that earlier in the day phase when he said he agreed with Epi but in reality, he wasn't truly agreeing about Bullz being Smaug.

Snow Dog, i am having a hard time with who to vote. I'm not voting splints because I can't see in her posts or votes or anywhere that she is the mayor and even if she was I don't see the link to Bullz. Plus, i don't know where the "Bullz is Smaug" is coming from. Bullz being a baddie seems slightly more likely so I might vote there. Also though, k4j has brought up a thought provoking post about llama perhaps being bad. I had briefly considered that for the reason k4j points out - that llama seemed to want us to turn away from TH 2.0 for a reason that sounded off to me. So I might vote there as well. I haven't got much time left to decide but that's who I'm considering.
