I thought your case on MP was good TH. I'm torn between him and inh. I'm still going to hold off for a bit before I vote. So many random votes! I really didn't expect it for this lynch.

Seems it's going the spread vote way after all.

Here is where I am. i am likely to vote INH also. He is the only one who stands out for me at the moment. Either that or..........random!

Juliets, my concern about MP is that I haven't really seen his civvie game recently, he's been a baddie or independent. Maybe I'm latching onto the wrong things about him. But I didn't like how his opinion on FZ kept switching even though she made no new posts that would influence his thoughts. I also didn't like that he tried to pin his own idea of voting a non-poster onto Llama, that seemed strange.

To be fair, although I have eased off a little recently, when I first started playing Mafia I was relentless about going after non-participants. It's understandable that MP remembers me for that, even though I am a kinder, gentler llama these days. You just weren't around to see it at the time.

I agree the FZ thing is weird though.

Wow, this has got to be the most active day 1 I've seen here, in terms of real hunting. I like it! :srsnod:

MP definitely seems all over the place and even though he received a lot of suspicions, TH is the first one to have voted for him. Didn't Dom say he was voting for him? What happened to that vote? The thing I liked least was his sudden vote for Daisy. Where the hell did that come from, and what's up with his suspicions of me. Is he, or is he not?
Thing is, I started out thinking he was one of the people who I trusted the most, but recent events made my good feelings decrease. I tend to trust my gut feelings in the start of the game, so I really don't want to vote for him. I felt he was the one who was pushing the game forward the most.
The, there is Epi. I absolutely loved Epig's analysis of MP, and the funny thing is, before I left for the day I thought I was going to vote for Epi' because I've only played two games with him, one where he was a baddie and one a civvie, and the differences were remarkable, and I felt he was reminding me of that baddie game. But after what he's said in the last 24 hours, he's seeming a whole lot more civvie to me, but we'll see.

I don't think I can follow the INH vote, because it seems like a crappy reason to vote for someone, no offense. Over defensiveness, especially at this stage, is almost always a civvie behavior. Baddies try to keep their cool, and being over defensive so early in the game, is just going to get you in the exact place he seems to be in right now. So, I have to wonder if one of those talking about voting him is a baddie (Daisy, Julliets, and I don't remember who else).

Finally, there is Vompatti, who "went to the trouble" of describing just how he came to vote for Daisy. Seemed really fake to me.
So if I don't want my vote to go to waste, it's between, MP, Daisy and Vompatti

@linki: The Dom thing, I'm not sure I get where you're coming from llama. I didn't like how he voted for MP, with the "K4J made a solid claim" or something, but if MP is a baddie, then maybe Dom was genuine. What was it you felt was not genuine about Dom?

Dom's first post where he was like "Oh boy howdy, you folks sure like to talk, gee wilikers!" rang false to me, but I wasn't sure. I asked him to elaborate on his Day 1 process to see if I could get anything out of his answer. His answer seemed guarded and intentionally non-specific, and his reasons for his vote seemed flimsy. So, yeah, I don't trust him.

Me

I can understand your point though. If INH was bad he'd be crazy to make a post like that.....maybe. Unless he simply lost his temper even though he was bad. These arguments are always somewhat circular.

I get that Vompatti is supposed to be zany. It's his MO, his card. But it just felt too much to me. In my first game here, I was really frustrated with how A person and him didn't bother posting anything that seemed remotely on topic (and then AP killed me cause I annoyed him, lol), but it felt like he just didn't bother. The way he just explained how he voted, seemed like trying too hard. He was being funny-check, zany- check, like he made sure everything he's supposed to be was there. I don't know. Maybe it's nothing, but it didn't come off as genuine to me, but rather as though he was trying to be what was expected.

As for Dom, I don't feel I know his style yet. Do you think it's different from how he is usually? I feel going by what I got on him so far, and by your "gut", especially since I don't know what you are, would be unfair at this point.

I'm going to vote MP. I don't play much with inh so maybe I am reading too much into his defensiveness and it appears from what others say he's that way regardless of alignment. With MP, I didn't like the FZ. suspicion but I liked even less that he turned and voted SD, as someone said, out of nowhere. Plus he wanted to vote Dom it seemed just because llama did. It feels too early in the game to have that kind of trust, and llama said he's really not that good at judging character. There were other points TH made in addition to this and altogether it is leading me to vote MP.

Didn't really like that vote. And why say stop spreading the votes, when there were more people with one vote already, just like MP, and she just gave him his second one? It's like she's trying to push for his vote. Not sitting well with me.

Omg! Thought I missed the vote. But I'm no longer willing to vote on who I planned & don't know that I'll be able to catch up. My phone battery is 13%. Is there a punishment for not voting? I hate voting if I don't have at least an idea. Might have to go with INH. Or MP, he's the only other to catch my eye but I'm thinking that's just because he's vocal.

I am probably going to vote MP.

1. He made a post that could only serve disingenuous purposes at best.
2. Although he asked me (specifically) for my thoughts, he implied that my questioning of the purpose of one of his posts was irrelevant.
3. Under pressure from Leamiteo, he went on about how his Mafia style is to emulate his civilian style, something unnecessary and over-the-top, given the context.
4. I had not said much, but when I began to talk (at his prompting), he suggested that I was "building the groundwork" for votes against him.
5. After all that talking and making other people talk, he ends up voting for spacedaisy, and says she never explained to him how "unnecessarily strong posts make someone bad." Newsflash: Nothing short of a damning slip makes anyone bad on Day 1. But most people aren't voting for people because they think they are bad.

I don't know, but I think the points made against him by TH and Epi are pretty strong. If I hadn't already voted for Dom, I would consider a vote for MP. That being said, I can't help but feel bad for the guy. This is his first game in a while, and it sucks to get voted out on Day 1. Also, he is just fun to play with due to his extreme verbalizing.

Well, I had to catch up and skim over a few of the later posts (and a few things I wanted to respond to, but I'm running out of time). It could just be my predisposition to suspect MP, but he just seems too opportunistic and all over the place and too Captain Obviousish. Then TH and Epi made good points. So that's the best I've got right now.

See? This is why I want to lynch these kind of players. Because no one ever thinks about them...except me, obviously. And it's annoying

@linki: thanks, llama. Yeah, at this point is seems like my vote will not matter much anyway, because Epi said he'll vote for MP, and I can't blame him. I voted for MP. Not as sure as I would like but in the time I had to catch up he did some weird things. I did think it was strange people actually agreed with my points on INH and Dom did to MP. I'm not sure if they used it to pilot a vote or not. But yeah, voted for MP. Sorry MP, I wish I felt better about you because I've missed playing with you a lot but some things you've done just do not feel genuine or from a townie mind set.
