Voting SVS, because why not. Since most people intend on abandoning the civs ASAP, I don't see the need to anyone with a reason. Not that I have one. :haha:

Yep, your answers definitely make me want to take my vote off...or not. I don't like lynching civs, so I'm trying to get to the bottom of your actions. What was the point in your bid? Did you just not think it through and went with it at that moment? Would you do it again now?

If you have the right property, the people will come to you. Give the people what they want, and great riches will accrue to you.

I was thinking that Epig bid big in a Tom Sawyer-fence-whitewash scenario, where he tries to makes others think he's on to something and outbid him, in an attempt to drain the bank account of another player. I like FZ's idea better though, that's a good reason to bid big!

1. Does the winner of the Chance card bid get to know what is on the Chance card before giving/using it?

2. Are we just going ahead with unchangeable votes for now?

Heading into work, last chance to vote. going Epig because his money flashing may indicate that he is up money like a utility. Also, I want to vote someone with votes because I have a vote, self interest. If I'm done before 10 I may change but not likely possible.

I really don't think Epi is bad. I also don't think he'd be so ostentatious with someone else's money. He looks like he's working on his own to me. Don't understand the votes for him but I guess on Day 1 you gotta go with something.

ok, I don't see a way for civvies to win this game, as civvie anyways. At all. Basically, who ever can get their partners together as a group first, without revealing they are a group, seems to have the best chance at winning.

Boo wrote:A set that has (at any point) all living players together will cease to be considered a civvie set, and become a LMSing group.
Does this mean that if a person of my set dies, but i have BTSC with all other 3 member, would i be considered part of a LMS group?

Are their any incentives to work together?

Alright. So after a quick catch-up, I have to go ahead and vote. I will be gone until the lynch ends and preoccupied until then as well. I'm going with Boogs for now, because I feel like his vote for Epig came off as bandwagon-y to me. I know there's not much to go on on Day 1, but it's the only hunch I've gotten so far.

I'm not voting for either Epi or Long Con today. Instead, I'm going to randomize among the people who did not give a reason for their vote. I will give it a little more time (probably a couple of hours) and then vote. If in the meantime something better comes up I will go with it.

My bad, TH. Just getting a bit of deja vu from the last game, y'know? Same shit different day.

I agree that Made's post looks like it could be a slip. Maybe he just assumed that everybody else has 4 to a set, too, but then you would expect everyone in the western world to know that it's 3 or sometimes 2 per set.

One point about Epignosis: He made that $500 bid really early in the game, and at that stage I wasn't aware that we die when we run out of money, so perhaps neither was he. And you can get some good stuff from chance, so I can understand his haste to acquire it, but I'm not sure any of that will be worth $500.

I agree, though he's somehow talking about 5 on a team, 1 dies, he and his 3 teammates are left. Weird. I want to hear what Made has to say though before I vote for him for this. I've learned the hard way I want to see a response before voting.

Made even corrected his post, just not the bit that looked like a slip. Though, the math is wrong even if it is a slip.

Voting Made.

Only other thing to analyse for potential votee would be the "searching" conservation. It's a can of worms. I'll just go with Made.

Why don't we bold any bid we make to make it clear?

$100 on the extra die if the bid from TH earlier will count (for 60 + 25, being unbolded and not an exact amount).

In regard it searching for your set: I think its up to each person to decide now. There have been a lot of good points on either side and I suppose its down to interpretation now. Which path will give each individual the greatest chance to win? Thats the basic crux of capitalism after all :P
What do you think about anyone that would claim to not look for a partner at night? I don't think a baddie would be that apparent, but I am not inclined to believe that player.

Not sure about the Made thing, however I still feel Epignosis giving like half of his starting money on the auction so easily means he isn't worried about money because he has teammates or has some money from people landing on him that was a lot already like Electric Company. Just my opinion but feel like he should go.
