I was getting worried about you for a sec there, Marshy! Everyone seems pretty relaxed about the 3 vote so far though. We could have a "Chinese Fire Drill" (or "CFD") and all bustle to change our vote to a different number before the lynch ends... but I don't see the point. From a personal standpoint, that is, I'm against rocking this lynch boat at all, because I don't want to be the one who ends up in the water. :nicenod:

I thought he was since I woke up one morning this weekend and he had posted in all the OT threads. Timmer isn't usually a big "Word Association" player.

Day 9 - Mr. Sandman

Amidst the darkness, the people of Central City called out to each other, trying to figure out who was who in the shroud of shadow surrounding them.

A couple of folks were just too fast asleep when their friends bumped into them and asked who they were. This silence made the mob wary and they decided the best response would be to kill one of the bedridden.

Soneji slept right through the ordeal. There was no pain. The end was swift. Morpheus, lord of the Dream Realm, carried Soneji away to an eternal slumber.

Soneji has been lynched, and was Abra Kadabra.

It is now Night 9. You have 34 hours to send me PMs (I'll be working 11-9 tomorrow at a telethon, so I won't have internet 'til then).

I guess that really was a not so bad result for such a lynch. At least we got an inactive.

RIP Soneji. Dunno if you were actually supposed to survive a lynch or what.

Not really surprising, but he wasn't an inactive baddie like we hoped. Maybe MR didn't mod kill him because he didn't really matter to anyone. It leaves the question of Rabbit.

Timmer was allegedly silenced. On one hand, it seems like an obvious baddie tactic, but on the other, maybe that's what the real baddies wanted us to think he was doing..or what he wanted us to think. Total WIFOM all around.

I get the feeling we're missing something and that despite everything pointing to Timmer, it's too easy.
Am I expecting too much of baddies here?

Actually, pretty decent result despite the shadows. At least we didn't lynch a good contributor.

Yes, I was silenced. I imagine that whoever did it hadn't anticipated that it would be such a bizarre lynch day where silencing me would actually have little effect.

Pretty sure he wasn't. We lynched him. We didn't check him.

Sure he could be the Magic Mirror, but I think that's not the case. ;)

Plunder – A marksman from the Mirror Universe. He kills on even nights. Like Mirror Master, he will not appear as his role if he is checked.
Hmm, you could be right. Host, how "like Mirror Master" is Plunder's ability? Does it fake his role if he is lynched as well?

I thought that Spacedaisy was Abra Kadabra and that was why she survived that lynch (where she was tied with someone else, I think?).

Well tbh honest I was hoping the lynched player was Soneji. I was not expecting that lynch result at all. I was certain he was Plunder. I did not expect him to be modkilled because a host would not want to take the numbers away from the baddies. With him being neutral I am very surprised he wasn't modkilled, as it really would not make a difference to the game. That, I guess, was just a host call.

So IS Plunder dead OR is it Rabbit?

I just assumed Plunder was dead. What if DFaraday was Plunder? That would explain the lack of killing and why Grodd's kill was 'inherited'.

Maybe you're right. I haven't been able to put my finger on why Grodd's kill was inherited. That never made sense to me, especially by the Top. Why wouldn't it be passed on by TH then? I feel like I'm missing something. I am assuming that Grodd's kill is inactive now that the Top is dead and it didn't say it was passed on.

Hopefully this answers your question BR.

We haven't lynched Girder, Blacksmith, Murmur, Tar Pit... we have lynched The Top and Double Down...And we have more and more reason to believe that Plunder is out of the picture at this point.

Girder must be alive (assuming that "he can't be nightkilled" includes "he can't be imprisoned"), and it's reasonable enough to assume that at least one of the other three have been randomly killed at some point.

We have killed Grodd and Professor Zoom, but Zoom may still be out there.

So... my estimate is that there are three or four baddies still out there. And how many players total now? 10 or 11?

I thought we had fewer still alive. :(

If you had to pick 2 players who are old rogues right now, who would they be?

Actually, I think there may be fewer baddies. What did people think of Faraday, Epi & DH? Any roles in mind for them? They were all killed by non bad roles so could have been bad. I think 1 or 2 of the three were possibly bad; I think Bullz might have been bad. I think there is either one Old Rogue left :noble: , me, and perhaps one other. I thought Bass may have been, but I am also in the throes of recruit paranoia for him, so

I think everyone else is spread over the other affiliations.

So that's 50% of the Old Rogues that 's not, in my opinion. He's not Magenta, because he'd have stopped a lynch by now to get BTSC with the Detectives (assuming my secret solution is right for her). He's not a Detective, I'd say.

Actually, after saying all that together, he's got a reasonably good chance of being a baddie. Or a "scum" as the broader Mafia vernacular prefers.
I think he's most probably an independent Rogue, but that's me. That said, if he's not interested in defending himself, I'm not going to be defending him.
LC, has your opinion of BR changed or actually, do you have any opinion of her now?
I usually stay away from too much in-thread analysis of BR because she's my wife and we most often use the same computer and that kind of meta-analysis can get to be a little sketchy. Why are you specifically asking me about BR, and no one else? I just make it a general rule when playing in the same game as her to keep my distance, at least until later in the game, and let other players make their own unbiased analyses of her.

I do have an opinion of her, I'm just not going to share it until later in the game, presuming we're still alive. You should develop an opinion of her that doesn't involve my opinion of her, I just think it's a more generally fair way to play.
Ok Long Con, now's your chance!

What is your read on BR right now? Has it changed since your early unrevealed opinion?

Night 9 - A Hop and a Skip

Rabbit bounced around the green fields soth of Central City. It was a beautiful night, full of mystery and opportunity. He thought about how far he'd come since his unfortunate conviction after falling asleep at the wheel a few years ago. Sure, he missed a crucial town meeting and ruined someone's lawn when he drove ontp it, but he would never do it again. And he was happy to be alive.

Wally West didn't share the same optimistic outlook on Rabbit's life. He saw his as a danger to himself and others. And so Rabbit was snatched away from his fun night, thrown into Iron Heights before he could celebrate his freedom.

Rabbit8 has been taken to jail.

It is now Day 10! You have 48 hours to vote!

Why? Because I've come up with a new list.

Metalmarsh89
Bass_the_Clever
Sophie
SVS
timmer

Devin
Black Rock
FZ.

Long Con

And I think you're bad.

Sorry to yank your chain for the last day and a half timmer, but I've finally come to the conclusion that I believe you. I also am pretty sure that Bass, Sophie, and SVS are all okay too. Devin I feel good about, but not as certain.

After reading back on FZ and Black Rock, I don't know where their allegiance lies. One or the other could be bad, but I don't feel strongly about them.

So by process of elimination, I think Long Con is bad. More to come after I do a stronger reread of him tomorrow.

And here is a piece of evidence why I think timmer is okay.

timmer was silenced on Day 9 right? I think that he was silenced because his lynch was a foregone conclusion. So many players suspected him, and TH had just flipped as the Top. Of course timmer was next because of all of his ties with TH. I think he was silenced so that he couldn't even give himself a chance to respond to any more accusations.

However, we had the crazy lynch where everyone was hidden. I think that saved us from lynching a player who we didn't want to lynch.
