Ok, so this is the first chance I have had to post properly in like four days so I feel like I owe you all an explanation. My sister has been in town since Dec. 27. On top of that, I have worked every single day she has been here. And I will be working every day until she leaves on Sunday. On Monday we went for a day trip to Austin, on the way home I got a text from the third shift person that she couldn't come in. So instead of getting a day off I went in to work a third shift, which meant going without sleep for over 24 hours. I came home and slept for five hours and got up and went with my sister and husband to go to dinner and visit some San Antonio sites (for those on my fb, you should check out the video from the top of the Tower of Americas, it was really amusing). We got home late and I was tired and had to work early the next day, so I went to bed. I worked first shift on Wednesday and after work we went to dinner again and then we did some shopping. we again got home late and I went to bed, thinking I would have the next day off. I slept in Thursday just to get a text from my boss calling me in for second shift, which I could only do until 8 pm, because we had made plans with DFaraday to hang out and play board games. So we did that and then went to bed. Now I am here and have to be at work at 3 pm tonight. So that means I have about six hours to spend with my sister. I love you all, but I'm not wasting time on mafia that I could be spending with her. I have been half skimming to keep up, but have not posted.
I am quite certain that MP is not bad. I will not vote for him because I don't see any earthly reason I should. I am going to follow Golden's vote for Quin because he has been on my shirt list for a while. (And because they are both time travelers sent back to us from the future) I still think his defense about the LD was shady.
votes Quin

When sprityo subbed back in, his first order of business was SALT. Anybody remember that?
The first thing sprityo did was take umbrage at something spacedaisy said and he concluded with, "So if my views were the similar to sig, then where was the suspicion on him, Daisy?" I think that's further evidence in favor of both spacedaisy and sig.
In retrospect, the Scotty kill looks like simple revenge (remember that sprityo subbed in Night 1).
After that-
sprityo wrote:Chaos marmot much?
I don't want to pitch in on the DDL-LC thing since I might be biased against LC. I am however interested in why epi thinks quin is bad so I'll have to look into that a little bit sometime later
sprityo decided to leave the "DDL-LC thing" alone. Of all the discussion and accusations going on at the time though, sprityo claimed to be interested in why I thought Quin was bad. I'm of two minds here. sprityo, the lead candidate to be lynched, would have been looking for an alternative to his own death, no?
Perhaps looking at subsequent Quin posts will be useful.
sprityo wrote:@MP I'm on my way home after being out ALL day, so I can throw you some stuff then
I personally wanted to look into quin and why people didn't like em, even though I think quin is pretty okay looking off the top of my head?
Why would my accusation of Quin be interesting to sprityo if sprityo thought Quin was "pretty okay looking?"
sprityo wrote:Let me rephrase that, why quin would be scum in association with another player, cause I don't think t was just a blatant "I think quin is bad" thing
This clarification is more difficult to understand than the original statement.
sprityo wrote:MovingPictures07 wrote:sprityo wrote:It's alright MP I'll replace you if I get lynched two days in a row
:Noble:
Haha, that's the spirit.
I don't want to be replaced. Normally I would when I cannot be totally on top of a game, but I'm going to try to become as engaged as possible. Maybe you can replace someone else though if that does happen.
Why shouldn't you be lynched? Specifically, point me to something in your 2.0 incarnation's batch of posts that should lead me and others to believe you to be town.
From me personally or in Florida posts? Because I'm pretty sure we've established he was just having a bad time. Unless you're dig, and insist on following a meta
That's a mild point in MP's favor. Although:
sprityo wrote:It's alright MP I'll replace you if I get lynched two days in a row
:Noble:
sprityo could only replace MP if MP is on his team.
sprityo wrote:Quin wrote:Elohcin wrote:DFaraday wrote:Effective immediately, Sprityo is replacing Glorfindel.
And yeah, dead members of factions win too.
I have to wonder why Sprit replaced Glor. Glor was pretty active. I know glor has a hard time being mafia, so maybe it was too much pressure.
This is all I have to go on right now, unfortunately. So, *voting Sprit*
I think there are much more significant topics being discussed right now which make for better votes than than voting based on a flimsy hypothesis on why someone might have subbed out.
Okay I somehow managed to miss eloh saying this and I agree with quin. This is lazy playing, an easy out.
Here is Quin's defense of sprityo and sprityo's response, characterizing a successful lynch as "lazy playing, an easy out."
sprityo wrote:sig wrote:sprityo wrote:I willsay, however, I won't be voting for Sig. I feel his vote is justified, albeit wrong.

What? are you confused on that i believe where you are coming from but you arent right in this instance?
Yet another point in sig's favor.
sprityo wrote:DrWilgy wrote:Thank you LC.
General consensus. Do we think more baddies are openly discussing or hiding in the background?
Hiding in the back
This
post is all kinds of confusing. LC looks worse but sprityo would probably vote DDL instead?
sprityo wrote:Epi, youre the one that said youre voting for one of LC, DDL, Sprityo.
Has that changed then?
sprityo seemed to want me to consider other people besides these three. This would be a minor point against LC, except by this point I had already made it clear that I wasn't voting LC. The most logical interpretation was that sprityo was concerned about not only self-preservation, but not exposing teammates.
sprityo wrote:Epignosis wrote:Epignosis wrote:sprityo wrote:Epi, youre the one that said youre voting for one of LC, DDL, Sprityo.

I didn't say exactly that.
Epignosis wrote:I am willing to vote sprityo, LC, or DDL of those three names.
To be clear, that was in response to someone else. I may have meant "of those four names."
So you havent made up your mind but you wish to cease further talk about LC because- ????
sprityo wrote:insertnamehere wrote:Spirityo, GTH, what is your read on...drumroll...Long Con?
Upset Towny
In the very least, these two posts confirm that sprityo wasn't trying to distance from a teammate when he voted.
sprityo wrote:insertnamehere wrote:sprityo wrote:insertnamehere wrote:sprityo wrote:insertnamehere wrote:Spirityo, GTH, what is your read on...drumroll...Long Con?

would you vote Long Con to save yourself?
in the current situation? no
if it was just the two of us with no chance of anyone else, yes.
what about the situation now?
well we have time, and time will tell who isnt lucky
Epi still hasnt voted correct? and he also thinks LC is town
On the other hand, this exchange makes it clear that, for whatever reason, sprityo didn't want Long Con lynched.
sprityo wrote:@DrWilgy, do you have any ideas on who you'd vote?
linki: yeah, but if we yknow, agree to help eachother out

then there wont be a chance of either me or LC getting lynched. as crappy as that sounds
Indeed.
So that's a huge question for me: Why did sprityo want to keep Long Con alive? sprityo was even miffed when I "made him" vote LC:
sprityo wrote:i really hate you epi, youre making me do this

I'm having trouble figuring out who Sunny is.
Soup and Nacho would have not been my top vig targets.
Poe has been killing people I suspect so he's probably already on my townie list of DDL, Epi, Golden, Sig, Quin, LC.
Sunny, though? Probably somewhere in the potential scum list of Sorsha, Daisy, Dom2, MP.
Both town killers should probably aim at the later group but it's probably worth trying to figure out who wanted Soup and Nacho dead so as not to aim at those players.

I think we ought to be careful about extrapolating too much here because there was potential for target redirection (at least as long as Elo was alive).

To elaborate on this, I can see Sunny wanting to kill Soup n2 because it's believable that a town vigilante would shoot a low or non participating player to remove that variable from the game. The Nacho kill on n4 is the one that could have been redirected... because from my recollection, no one here had any major beef with him. It'd be worth investigating whether my memory is right there though.

Also, zebra was one of the more likely lynch candidates. I found it very puzzling, and a poor decision on Olaf's part. There are a few players that are seen as very Civ and are not likely to be lynched that would have been smarter choices in my opinion.

I suspect Zebra was Sunny and that is why she was killed.
Which might mean she was hitting mafia members.
@Epi yeah that was part of my point agaisnt LC also it's true we know in theory LC had a lynch proof, assuming he was telling the truth, but then why didn't Sprityo's teammates vote to save him? One vote on Lc would have done it. HOWEVER, if LC was Olaf they didn't want that. Furthermore, assume they voted for LC, LC didn't die what would everyone have thought? They'd have thought he survived because he was either Esme or Ishmael. Both of whom would have been vigged or lynched the next phase. I still find the strangest things being Sprityo refusal to vote for LC, until the near end and LC not voting for sprityo.
This is giving me Turf War teas, we had two mafia up for a lynch day 1/2 we got one, however the follow up wagon was also a mafia member. The logic used by scum was it was a counterwagon so no way, however I'm not so sure.

When I voted for DDL it made it 2-2-2 between DDL, me, and sprit.
It's not weird that I didn't vote sprit to save myself, because I didn't think I was at a point that I needed to save myself. Plus I had the lynch protection, so saving myself was never a concern.

It's almost as though Jack, LC and Quin are hinting at being the Ishmael cult, but then wtf would Quin be saying he had a damning case on sig being Ishmael? That would make no sense, since sig actively wrote a massive case on LC. So, this explanation doesn't check out.
I'm trying to think of a single good town explanation for why LC, Jack and Quin would all be protecting each other with little more than 'trust me, you're wrong' to go on with.

Also, zebra was one of the more likely lynch candidates. I found it very puzzling, and a poor decision on Olaf's part. There are a few players that are seen as very Civ and are not likely to be lynched that would have been smarter choices in my opinion.
Maybe that kill got redirected.
I'd agree that's a likely possibility.

It's not likely at all. The redirecter was dead. It's not hard to see why they'd want to kill zebra with a bit of research, though.

But Elohsir was already dead.
That's right. I'm lumping the Day and Night phase outcomes together.
Oh right.

MP, I really want to get your thoughts on things generally. Like, do you trust LC and Jack and their defence of Quin? Who do you think is bad?
