That game literally went down to the wire. A Lylo standoff until the last three minutes? Nuts. It sucked to lose but it was a fun ride.
Economics is my favourite too, and I'm not sure it can ever be topped.

Both games I've hosted so far broke posting records, featured mechanics/powers that caught people off guard, went to Lylo, and featured one living player at the end. True to form, I doubt I would have enjoyed playing either of them, so I can't pick a favorite. :p
Ugh, RED vs. BLUE was a heart-wrenching loss, but immensely fun to play. I think high post counts in games point to players (or at least the high-volume posters) having fun. :P

Economics was really something epic, I agree. I think that's my favorite too.

I'm unbelievably happy that people like one of my games best. I think my favorite game is a tie between American Gods and Biblical Mafia.

I LOVED Arkham and LOVED how I played. I was really sad that I wasn't around to defend myself from that last out-of-nowhere lynch.

Recruitment 3 was my best game, Llamas Harry Keeler probably my most fun, I had such outstanding BTS there. Tied with World Reborn for fun, MM and multi Dutchies FTW!

I really enjoyed hosting American Gods. Juliets is always a dream to work with, and watching my Loki have SUCH a great game and so much fun assembling his team is what hosting is all about for me.

The Keeler game did have such great btsc :) such a shame that we didn't win. I think we played it well.

Recruitment 3, my goodness, just one game of many where I've gone head to head with SVS and come off second best.

Given my break and your break, I feel like it's been ages since I played with you (World Reborn?).... too long.

Metalmarsh won that for us. He hung onto that rezz like a miser. I got annoyed at him a bit for it as some points, but he was a zillion percent right to hold it.

The most recent Game of Champions was pretty epic too, and kinda ridiculous. I managed to win as a neutral vanilla survivor. XD

And to round out the top 3: Hmm...... It's tough to pick a game where I lost. I'd probably go Talking Heads for one of my better civ performances, and an epic game all-around.

Best game I hosted? I'd go Tree Mafia. That had the best civilian comeback I've ever seen. Diiny, motel room, and MP had the civilians in LYLO with all three being alive, and MacDougall and Floyd (among others) pulled off the upset. It was incredible!
Fucking Tree Mafia. :sigh:

This is how I'd sum up the first game I ever hosted as well. It was on RYM so it is now lost in internet purgatory, but it was infamously known simply as "Game 8" when the community was still up and running.
We were all still new to the game so the community as a whole was in that experimental stage where we were just trying to figure out what worked for us. Long story short, I ended up having to set an unbreakable RYM record for modkills in a game, we had two scum partners bus each other hardcore out of the gate (harhol & MrMungbean, if my memory is correct), and the game concluded with a botched lynch tally and an inconclusive resolution. It remains the only draw I've ever seen in mafia. Train wreck that it was, everyone told me it was a fantastic game to play in.

So my laptop keeps shutting down randomly after 10 - 30 minutes. My husband says I might as well just get a new one rather than pay someone to fix it. Any suggestions on what I should get? Should I finally bite the bullet and get an Apple? Can i run microsoft office on a Mac? Or should i just stick with a PC?

Ah yes, there is a new HP that got a good review from The Verge. I may take a look at it, though I'm leaning Mac. I'm just so tired of dealing with these damn windows 10 updates that don't take and are glitchy.

Install Windows 7 and leave it be. That's what I've done.

I'd go back to XP if it came to it over 10.

Unless you've used an apple device before the way MACs are set up will confuse you.

I'd either get a cheap Windows 7 laptop or a laptop and a Windows 7 disk.
