The handsome man began to shake uncontrollably. He fell out of his chair and convulsed on the ground until a piece of something flew out of him and became another him. He looked up at the new him in front of him and the handsome man laughed and laughed, a maniacal dangerous laugh. Another him left him.

“What’s wrong with mhee ho?” the handsome man asked.

“Nothing,” the third handsome man said, grinning from ear to ear. He reached his hand out to help his original self up. “You just need a little rest.”

When the first took the third’s hand, electricity shot through his entire body, frying him alive. The second and third smiled to each other.

“After you,” the second said.

“Why thank you,” the third replied with a chuckle. And then they were gone, leaving the handsome man’s body lying on the floor.

As it turned out, the body was not in fact a dead body. Not completely, anyway. The body continued to spasm after the pair had left, sending out more and more incredibly handsome fellows.

The last one to be separated from the incredibly handsome man was a monster. The monster checked his gun and then looked at the body.

“I only need to save one,” the monster mumbled to himself. He pointed the gun at the original him.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you, Jack.”

The monster turned to see a familiar old man and and unfamiliar blonde one, both dressed in black.

“You’re not me. Neither of you are.”

The old man smiled. “No, we’re not, Jack. But we are him. Perhaps more than you are. That’s not why I gave you that gun.”

“Isn’t it?”

The old man paused.

“No. It isn’t. Move on, Jack.”

The monster looked at the old man and then his companion and then back to the old man.

“What if I don’t want to?”

“Then I’ll make you,” the blonde man said with a smirk. “Mongrel.”

The monster shrugged and walked away.

Day 1 begins now and will last 48 hours. The player with the most votes at the end of day will be executed. Votes on the poll will count but it is polite to call your vote in thread as well.

okay, so the first jack is clearly jack torrance from the shining (is that what wisp claimed?)

the third one (the one that electrocuted jack torrance) COULD be jack buchinsky, the Electricutioner. its a batman villain apparently

i have no idea who the second one that ran off with the third one is

the last one is jack daws, same as the one who shot fg

yeah its possible fg’s role just didnt flip and it had nothing to do with the kill

in that case i lean pretty heavily to fg being bad

i think the whole thing with fg not flipping will get cleared up after N2 when we see jack daw shoot again

if that target flips, we know fg was unflippable

if that target doesnt, it could be because of jack daw’s kill

See, now I have a different take on Jack1. I immediately thought it was the OG Jack/host. Also, pink seems to be his color of choice when typing general things, so I wouldn’t put any stock into that being the color of the flips. Although, I guess we won’t figure that part out 100% til we get a scum flip and see if it’s a different color.

I'll [VOTE: Tony] aubergine for the suspicion I got from the post Epi quoted. The "trending" thing seems like pure opportunism, a mindset reveal that he predicts the town will turn on Epi and he wants to get in on it early.

So that would mean we all popped from Torrance’s head? Or maybe the OG Jack has a similar familial set up and was channeled by Torrance to write that, which ended up causing the flux that allowed the fictional/non fictional (in Nanook’s case) Jacks to start popping out of his head?

Idk, idk, idk. I’m probably grasping at straws but thoughts are sometimes worth more than a penny.

the flavor at N0 seems to frame him as the good guy who was killed by bad guys

so thatd be a town character

Yeah, I get that. My original assumption was that we were all Jacks that popped out the OG/host Jack’s head. Now it’s leaning that we’re all Jacks that popped out of another fictional Jack’s head? I think I have headache just thinking about that one.

She’s not mentioned in the book or the movie. She’s a character in the sequel book, Doctor Sleep.

JoH is from HCRealms, where I play. Game style and flow is definitely different, but I’m fairly certain he’s been playing here awhile now.

I was definitely leaning towards you being town, but then you post something that discourages conversation, whether you think it’s irrelevant or not. Wanting a silent town that’s not communicating about the game is a scum tactic. Not saying you are, just that’s the vibe I get from this comment.

Kitsuis right. Jack’s from HCRealms where that kind of thing is prevalent. He’s also been here for like four years and it’s rare here.

So, flavor could matter. Dunno. If it does that’s not something I know how to deal with.
