What about the theory that, since LC obviously voted B24 with triple effect to give himself a fighting chance, Russ bussing him prior to this and reducing his fighting odds would make Russ a very unlikely teammate?
Good question.
Now it makes me wonder why Long Con was lynched when, as far as we know, bcornett led the lynch 9-8.

Your theory that you have taken as fact.
Your shift in playstyle from scumhunting to shit-flinging. Rather than defend yourself from Matt's theory, you came up with a new (albeit reasonable) theory to try to disprove him. You have pushed extremely hard back against Matt, but without having any interest in lynching Matt. I don't believe that sort of effort would come from a civvie mindset.

Hmm I feel like all these reasons are non genuine in nature. My vote on sorsha ... okay me and 9 others. My theory I have taken as fact? Care to elaborate? I've not legitimately taken it as fact?
My shift in playstyle? A result of boredom.
How can you say that "Rather than defend myself from Matt's theory, you came up with a new theory to disprove him."? If that's not a reasonable response what is? How does one defend themselves from an insane theory other than by telling the guy his theory makes no sense and then finding the more likely one? What exactly about that isn't logical?
I have pushed back against him hard because he is incorrigible. I have been on him all game for tunneling people and now he's started tunneling me for a bullshit reason. You will find that when I see people I think are townies playing poorly, they always cop my wrath.
But that second to last point worries me. You have added a perfectly reasonable response in as a reason to have a scum read on someone and for that you have really attracted my attention.

Your vote broke a 7-7 tie. Even you did not ignore the significance after the lynch. Your theory taken as fact? You called it an explanation, where as the rest of us still consider it a theory because there is nothing to prove it beyond that.
A result of boredom? Fine, I understand that feeling. Who's your top 6 per DrWilgy's request?
Matt's theory had a hole in it, but you didn't care to point that out, at least not until several other players already did. So calling it bullshit before it was proved bullshit was unwarranted. I also misspoke, as your new theory did not disprove his theory, it countered it.
Matt is incorrigible, I can see that.

Eh the vote is what it is. I was quite forthcoming about my stance during that whole situation. My vote was on sorsha not long before that anyway. I unvoted her to vote for motel room and MattF jokingly because I'd made my mind up to lynch sorsha way earlier in the day. My vote wasn't going anywhere other than there.
The explanation post was me mucking around.
You'll find that other players had pointed out the hole in the theory before I even came online and saw Matt's case. At first I found it mildly amusing and assumed that whichever player it was that pointed out that sorsha was dead would have put the conversation to rest but after a while he frustrated me when he refused to see sense and reason. You can probably see where I went from playful to angry if you look carefully enough.
If I see a civilian making foolish moves, how does criticising their play not assist town? Should I just allow him to lynch me with reckless abandon? Dude come on. This isn't even a scumread it's just you pointing out what I did and saying "what you did is why I think you are scum". Anyone else could say the exact same thing in reverse. Like this;
"MacDougall's reaction to being accused was to find a better solution to the double kill and find a good candidate for an actual serial killer. That's a pretty damn good response." Don't you think?
At this point there is a lot of play and a lot of reasons to go on, especially vocal players, so it doesn't surprise me that I have earned the suspicion of some. I wouldn't have it any other way. If I don't have scum players believing I am lynchable then I'm not playing the way I want to play.
Thanks for the response MM. I'll note it down as soon as I'm home from work.

Imo, if a player wishes to make himself visible online, they shouldn't be upset at all if they're accused of lurking or asked to participate.

Criticism is not what you posted, Mac.
Mafia that don't kill every night can inherit a killer's powers when that killer dies and can then kill every night? I am apparently unfamiliar with certain trends on this site, including the "must be alive to win" clause present in most games. I don't get it.

I get Psycho Killer is the main topic so far, but why isn't anyone talking about the fact that there was no mafia kill? Or that perhaps the mafia took a break? Coincidentally, at the same time when Psycho Killer got to use his kill twice?! I'm seeing nothing in the mafia's roles to explain their failure or abstinence, apart from No Compassion's secrets. Or is it perhaps Psycho Killer who is secretly able to snatch their kill, one-time or so at least (yeah, I know, I'll get to the theories revolving PK as well, just writing this thought down...)?
Yes, we would announce if the mafia failed to kill. Attempted kills are written into the post.

Is power N automatically duplicated (with 50% odds) onto random civ X or does that happens only if power N successfully hit Girlfriend?
If power N is successfully duplicated onto random civ X, if power N didn't work on Girlfriend, can it still work on random civ X?

Okay, I see, thanks for clarifying. My previous answer mostly holds, but it depends on the nature of the fail.
For example, if killer targets Girlfriend Is Better, but killer is role blocked, then no duplication (with 50% odds).
If killer targets Girlfriend Is Better, but Girlfriend Is Better is protected from NKs, then yes duplication (with 50% odds).
This is because the block effectively prevents a duplication from happening. So, essentially, a 50% duplication will happen if Girlfriend is targeted, but not if the player targeting Girlfriend fails to be successful specifically due to a role block.

Thanks, MP!
Hmmm. So I guess that means the Girlfriend theory can hold ground, unless Psycho Killer was blocked.

In the mafia country where I come from that's peculiar to say the least. Call me the mafia Borat or something.

I don't think Psycho Killer was blocked though.

Possibly, but it's "coming from management", so to speak. I'm not sure you should genuinely scumread players for this specific thing.

I'm not interested in saying more, except that it's clearly not you.

Is it only me, or does anyone else see that JJJ is still on night 4? Lol.

And sig, since I haven't spoken to you much (if at all), I'll get an answer for your question when I get a chance. I have about 2 hours to finish up this project at work.

Well of course it wasn't me, and if it was me then wow I really do deserve to die.
@Choutas you've been active in reading the thread so the fact that certain people deserve to die shouldn't be news to you I find it interesting you try to use this in an argument against me.
Attempt 1 failed, I managed to sneak back into the house without being caught by the police or my parents. I will begin to plan Attempt 2 to find someone who agrees that I deserve to die.
linki: No problem there isn't a rush since we still have a good amount of time left this phase.

- Epignosis could be bluffing.
- If he is not, he could be implying that the real Psycho Killer knows who he/she are, and that Epignosis is not he/she.
- He could also be implying that another player knows what Epignosis's role is for whatever reason, and thus cannot be Psycho Killer.
- He could just be saying that he knows he is not Psycho Killer in a roundabout way.
Some of these ideas take the discussion to areas that are OB. Epignosis dropped a lot of implications with a single statement.
Here's another theory I would like to introduce. Epignosis loves revenge. He will exact revenge for not only himself, but for teammates as well, and I have been a victim of this. Now, in Recruitment Mafia, Golden "got Epignosis nightkilled by mafia" very early in that game. As an act of vengeance, Epignosis would return the favor and nightkill Golden.

He quoted me from a residual conversation that began Night 4.

Would just like to comment that Golden had nothing at all to do with Epi dying. The only person responsible for Epi's death is Bass and his random redirection power that was in effect that night.
