This is how I feel it too. I think a lot of the vote movement was town-led but I think scum were happy to follow.

The Syn wagon was the only stagnant one that grew up gradually and didn't change. If Syn is mafia, it probably means the vote-hoppers were the scumbuddies trying to save him. If Syn is town, I think a few scum probably parked on Syn's wagon and dipped from the thread thinking they had placed themselves well.

My conclusion to this is that I find the second scenario more in line with how I read the thread. I'd lean Syn being town and mafia were in no real danger and some parked their vote and some hopped around with the town leaders.
