Someone was watching the thread and tipped him off to come here and make a defense right when he was in the middle of being questioned, but whoever else is on the team didn’t account for Wind being able to mechanically check his claim, which means that there’s a decent chance his teammates aren’t too active in the thread

Considering a bunch of people are mech-clear from being mafia now, that throws a lot more eyes towards Schia who has been missing pretty much all day. And also me ofc, I’m still an option mechanically

Because there is overwhelming mechanical evidence against Mung
They'd have a hard time digging out of it, and while I think their posting was honestly OK for the most part, the mech kerfuffle would result in Rask hard gunning for Mung anyway whenever he's back.

Val is also an option, I personally don’t think Val is mafia though, because as Manny pointed out, Guillo wagon ran into resistance and it seemed the thread was being pushed towards Val. Ergo, Val was the mafia’s vote of choice to try and protect their GF, to which Val is kinda threadspewed town if Manny was correct (basically impossible to really check given the way voting works here, but I trust Manny)
