There are usually no night powers allowed on Day 0 anyway, so I highly doubt it.

Day 1: A Person = A Bot

A Person buzzed around, looking for a parasite. He knew there had to be one about somewhere!

Buzzz...... Buzzz.....

Many hours later, A Person grew weary. He couldn't keep this up anymore. He decided to rest midair for a few minutes. It wasn't longer than a few seconds before he heard someone yelling gibberish. He couldn't understand it because he was not a person, but a bot. In reality, there was one member of a Splicer crowd yelling: "I found one! That way!!!"

The Splicers advanced on A Person. Although he tried to fly away, a few of the Splicers were shooting at him, and it soon took its toll. He began to lose elevation. Then, out of nowhere, a Houdini Splicer teleported right in front him. "Hello there!!" It set A Person on fire. The Splicers then surrounded the poor bot and attacked it until it would no longer function.

A Person has been lynched. He was Security Bot.

It is now Night 1. You have 24 hours to send in your night PMs.

I see we have our first missed votes. :feb:

I must absolutely warn everyone once more. Final warning though! Don't miss the votes! Doing so will cost you dearly. agleaminranks, bea, birdwithteeth11, BoatsBoatsBoats, and Nevinera are just about to get a small taste of this cost. :feb:

So looking at the A Person votes will be a good place to start I think, based on the fact that I think there were people taking advantage of AP's usually quirky posting style to smack a vote down.

Damn, I forgot about the game when we decided to go out for dinner tonight. Just missed it too :-\

I would have voted Ace for straight-up refusing to discuss the reasons for his vote for boo. Of course, by the time I'd voted there would already have been more than a dozen votes for AP, so it wouldn't have mattered much.

Still, I'm sorry I missed it; I'll probably be voting a few hours early from here out so I don't forget,
and get a taste of whatever MP has saved up for the second offense >.<

RIP A Person. :(

To the players: - I'm so sorry I missed the vote, I think there's some daylight savings time issues with this forum. I can't believe I hosted a whole game and never noticed that things were an hour off. - but I guess that's because Rox and I were always talking and I was always focused on that game from an EST standpoint. I'm in AZ - which is different from every timezone ever - because part of the year we are on mountian time and part of the year we are on pacific time. In az land, it means "daylight savings time doesn't exist" - but I do forget that some forums do not have an AZ time zone setting. -

FWIW - I was leaning away from A person. I think my last post could see that.

I'm way more intrigued by the whole aces not explaining his vote and dex not explaining his vote. I know wacky things happen on RM, and ya'll have played a bunch of games and feel like the votes should be a given, even a revenge vote or whatever. The rest of us, are not always clued in on. Voting without wanting or offering up any reason WHY you made the vote you made, makes me look at you hard. And honestly - my vote the next day will go to one or the other of them if they don't start talking to us.

I can't see any civ reason to withhold why you are voting someone. Even for the silliest of reasons.

Last night I dreamed I was in a universe that combined Bioshock, Mario Kart, and LOST. After outrunning Big Daddy on a go-kart through Boo's castle, I came face to face with Sayid outside of a BBQ restaurant. *SPOILER ALERT* Sayid is really Frank Fontaine (who looks like a giant raccoon).

By the time I voted, it wouldn't have mattered who I voted for. I also didn't see a good reason to vote for AP, as the case against him was silly, in my opinion. Instead of hopping on that bandwagon, I threw my vote somewhere else. I didn't see much point in explaining that, so I didn't.

Hi. I missed the vote because I've been traveling a lot the past week and have been busy trying to get an apartment and a job locked down for the coming academic year, so I've been a bit aloof.

I honestly hadn't even looked at the discussion prior to the vote, so this is all in retrospect, but it seems to me like A Person role outed himself pretty early:
A Person wrote:At this point voting randomly seems likely to result in voting for someone not on my team, and since I can't pretend I have anything to go on I might as well try that.
Regardless of if he were lying or not about not knowing the identity of anyone else on his team, this still put him as a strong candidate for the civilian teams, as the Civvy 1 group minus the bots is the only group with exclusively stated role knowledge. He could've easily lied in this position. Or, had he been one of the security bots, as actually was the case, then he was telling the truth and had no role knowledge and blindly guessing would have been in his favor.

Plus, Matt is someone I've known for a long time and isn't one to act deceptively. I would have believed he was a civvy and would not have voted against him.

So those are my thoughts. But I dislike idle speculation, and I especially dislike much of the nonsensical and amateur pseudo-psychological warfare that happens in the mafia threads. I post very seldomly.

It's hardly refusing to play. Last I checked, the only "rule" for mafia games is to make the required votes and nighttime moves assigned. Which admittedly I'm guilty of forgetting to do for the past turn, but the blindingly sunny outside realm interfered with plans of its own.

Everyone plays this game a little differently, of that I'm sure no one will disagree. Some people are ardently vocal, as others are admittedly quiet. Seems the talkers are always given the benefit of the doubt over the silent observers, though.

And with that, I take my leave, as I'm taking a bus.
