I had a realization this morning that the basis for initially placing random votes and/or giving as little information as possible is a level 0 hedge against those guards that would have a hard time keeping a secret, like my sister-in-law, who announced loudly at dinner one night with the in laws that my wife and I got a dog. We told you that in CONFIDENCE, Bridget. She ruined the surprise and we’ve never forgotten that because *someone* wanted the attention.
Well, I’m not a Bumbling Burton and am confident I can keep a secret and muddy the waters if need be.
Information is power, but if the court jester has information, what can you trust, really?

I think it's a little better than being dead because you can still help town with your vote and the assassins can still tinfoil you, but it sure isn't good.
