Ashigaru~ the Spanish Inquisition stands for everything I think is reprehensible. How anyone can think that hurting people in the name of God is an acceptable practice, I will never understand. Religious zealots scare the living daylights out of me.

Insist on what you believe to be right, or compromise for the common good?

As to your question, the former. There is no such thing as a common good.

They're soldiers; like all soldiers, they are paid, in this case by the Daimyo. The Inquisitors did it because they liked it ;)

And I disagree, there is a common good, IMO. The needs of the many and all that Spockian jive~

Unable to express satisfaction. Dissatisfaction is more nuanced.

Sadly, I would probably rather be persecuted because 1. I don't like getting in trouble and 2. I likely wouldn't find their persecution righteous.

Small house. I like small homes (and indoor plumbing). Plus, I don't care how nice your mansion is, people will stop being impressed the first time they have to head outside with the Sears & Roebuck catalog.

Would you rather be a hated reality TV show personality or the subject of a scathing Penn & Teller debunking?

A fool, ignorance is bliss in my experience.

Pamela Anderson eats a very healthy vegan diet as I understand it, that would be better than mouse droppings from a nutrition standpoint.
