I have no doubt that many will be able to keep up with this crazy scheme of no "esses" (weird spelling it out). However, I was much more amused by the dollar signs, and am even more amused by the prospect of using other money-related symbols to represent other letters (Mongoose, you've opened a can of worms there and I really hope someone bites for my amusement :P)

As for voting, I considered voting for someone who suggested not sending nightly PM's by Civs, but I thought about it and that suggestion of course could go either way. While I trust absolutely NO ONE in mafia except myself (which makes me a helluva less inclined to take that suggestion, since I doubt all Civs would participate or even tell the truth about their participation in such a scheme), I'll give the benefit of the doubt this time around and assume those suggesting this prospect aren't bad. (Also, keys, I didn't mean to come off as attacking you - you were not the only proponent of this scheme, and I was really referring to the idea as a whole. I certainly didn't feel forced to do so, but I felt the need to express my adamant dislike of the idea, as it is Evil Capitalist Monopoly we're playing, not Socialist Happy Fun Sharing Time. No harm taken? )

Um, so again as for voting, even though the numbers are off, either Made has never played Monopoly, doesn't count properties properly, and/or he's just made a nasty slip. As day 1 doesn't have much to go on, that's a good amount for me and I'll also be voting Made.

Forty Five minutes to vote. Of the people with votes, I have seen Epi do the weird crap act as a civ too many times to think he's bad for it this time. He might be, but it's too early to tell. I don't mind the no "S" anywhere near as much as the "$" since it is easier to ignore the lack of something, so i don't find it all that distractionary, I actually forgot about it until Mongoose brought it up again.

I am going to vote Made, that felt like a slip. He understood the mechanics enough to start bidding on powers with his second post. None of the other people with votes strike me as all that suspicious.

Ok. I've given time for Made to come back and defend himself. Usually I would give it overnight but the more I look at that post the more I feel it is really a slip and maybe that's why he hasn't been back. SVS also makes a good point that he understood the mechanics enough to start bidding immediately so that bites into my thought that maybe he's confused. Finally, the only other person I would vote at this point is MM for not explaining his vote and not answering when I asked him why. Voting for MM would just spread the vote and i don't feel like that's what I want to do.

Yeah, pretty sure this will be standard. Not criticising at all, but we'll all probably do this at some point and vote patterns won't be that helpful. It's also going to make bandwagons very likely amd less likely to result in a mafia lynch.

Very well. The current fear and debate can be traced to the concern that a civilian can only grow in power by hunting for a match. I find that I already have the power to grow in power- my wallet. An individual here did not take kindly to my penchant for the dollar mark; therefore I have written my reply without utilizing a particular letter of the alphabet.

Epi doesn't seem too discouraged about the number of votes he has. This makes me think he knows something we don't.

Anyway, day 1 votes are always hard and I hate to vote random. So far I don't really see any of the big BTSC debaters as bad per se, so I am gonna vote for Made for bidding quite a lot of money on a special power but backing out when Elochin bid 250, if I were a baddie I wouldn't want people to think I had too much money on my hands either. It's not a very good reason, but it's day 1 and it is a reason nonetheless.

Sounds to me like 2 people who have played several games together over the years seeing where the other stands. And is it really jumping on a bandwagon if the person is actually bad and slipped up, fairly blatantly (I will make a chubbz/vanilly/smells like danhm reference here for the 5-ish players that might chuckle at that). I have no read on either of them, but I don't think this exchange makes them look bad.
