I voted niju as an early pressure vote and zebra as a joke. Everything else was a serious effort to contribute to the poll. How can you say that I did not apprar to put any thought or effort into my votes for you and Epi when I have more posts explaining my reasoning for both of those than anything else, I think. I was "all over the place" because that's just the way the day went down. I woke up and had a couple hours to make a decision, so I went about doing that as best I could. I think my posts and my votes are a pretty good representation of my thought process during the day, but you seem to be only looking at the quantity of votes I cast rather than the quality of anything I said or did.

My question is, who are Elohcin's teammates? Scotty is a good contender, and Epi is too.

I could go either way on Eloh, I felt pretty good about her, then she read waaaaaay into what Epi said, with that little canned commentary. With Indi chiming in right after. BUT tons of civ BTS in this game, so not sure this means much other than Eloh finds me hard to trust.

And wanting to make a tie on day one is not a baddie thing re MP. As the host of the legendary 4 or 5 way tie, I say this.

This is why I voted sig. I don't know why anyone would want to lynch an active contributor Day 1 over someone who hasn't even shown up and likely won't. I am someone who is firmly in the camp that lynching non-participants Day 1 is a legitimate route; I have hosted enough to have seen my share of Mafia either never show up or drop of the face of the earth without ever being replaced. You will note that I was comfortable lynching bwt to save myself, but when sig called lynching me a better plan than lynching a no-show, I wasn't having any of that. My experience has been that Mafia will keep no-shows or vote-missers around because they are not threats. This is a different flavor of mafia, one I have only witnessed before in Frisky Dingo.

Thinking in those terms is premature at this stage. I think others need to weigh in properly first. More importantly, putting people in positions where someone has to vote to save someone / someone has to vote to save oneself almost always benefits Mafia, never civilians. Ooh, okay. That was both a...not confusing, quite, but really perhaps roundabout catch up? I'll try to explain what I mean with some thoughts and a vote.

First of all, although I was surprised when I actually saw the votes on sig (and the resulting lynch), as I read through his exchanges, I could see why others voted for him.

It pains me to say it (and it makes me want to keep a big fat eye on him), but I read Epi as civ. I feel like when I say that, I'm wrong, but I was right in at least one game off the top of my head (Frisky Dingo), and I'm getting the good vibes, so I can see why people would want to save him. The reasons to vote him (especially the ones like, "because of his punny story") looked terribly contrived, even by Day 1 standards.

Not gonna vote for Eloh. I don't even know where the case for that comes from. I see that this quotation is used as a reason:

but it would be incredibly sloppy to just drop names like that, thinking that "no one would notice," and Eloh is not a sloppy baddie. I think she really did want to know, from the last post that Epi made about a mafia team who would kill a non-particpant, if the two people who are currently playing are on his suspect list. Looks logical, and I was wondering the same thing myself about Epi's opinon. The comment made me think.

Regarding those two in my own thoughts...I had thoughts as I was reading, and I really need to start having a tab open where I write these things down as they come so they don't fly away, because, alas, they have flown away. It'll come back to me, but I can only hold so many players in my head at once. I'm distracted by who I plan to vote for.

At first, I read Sloonei as playing a civ game similar to what I experienced in Bullets Over Broadway - a big aggressive, going after players, lots of inquiry - but even as I type that, I don't actually see it as I re-read and see what others have pointed out. It's not that I would expect that level out of every civ game he plays, but I'm seeing more of a contrived game, one where he appears to be making inquiries and baddie hunting, but ignores, perhaps purposely, glaring facts (e.g., the Fearless Leader shenanigans as pointed out by Epi), and votes all over the place for this reason or that, none of which are very good. I'm down with voting him today, and will.

In response to your long post about Sloon: I see your points about him. I see that he supported sig, that he did a lot of repeating himself, and that his play has basically just been kind of clumsy. I'm not sure yet if this makes him bad. That is why I said, "wow, that is a lot to think about" and then went on to talk about the other stuff you brought up.

None in particular, I just think that he would be trying to look like he was contributing more if he was bad. I've seen baddie MP and he makes sure to have as many opinions on as many players as possible. This is nothing like that MP.
