Well I mean, the last few days of the game had a lot of, "I'm just really really sure about him, you guys," which is something I don't like to experience when I'm playing, especially when someone ends up lynched just because nobody is vouching for them. Less BTSC and role checking would help with that, I think.

Yes, and/or more deception possibilities. Public deception possibilities - even the mere idea of Olaf being a Seemer when lynched was enough to wrench up the works in a few places. Having one or two Seemers, a Trickster to mess with other people's (role-checking) abilities, and a couple of Olaf-style Godfather types goes a long way, I think.

Yeah, the only possibility we had left which wasn't sorsha was Dom as Olaf.

What I was hoping would happen is the other five voted Dom. That way, if I was right about Dom, we would win by lynching sorsha, and if I were wrong about Dom, we'd win by lynching dom.

That's what was going to happen, but DF cut it short because Dom wasn't Olaf.

This game had me doing the most out of thread analysis I've ever done. I knew that I was near the top of the hitlist on any mafia team, and that they knew that I knew who they were. So, I attempted to find scum by simply examining how people treated the two confirmed baddies that I knew about- Nacho and Zebra. Most of my efforts in this game went towards filling out a spreadsheet and noting any interaction anyone ever had with either two confirmed bad guys. Just by cross-analyzing, I was pretty sure DDL was civ, so naturally, I found LC a tad bit suspicious. I went after him hard even though I was only 75% convinced, with the logic that if I'm completely wrong, the baddies will rule me out for being Klaus, which would help me stay alive longer. My entire goal was to not get NK'd. I would've even welcomed being lynched, to be honest. Then I could drop some obvious-in-hindsight hints.

I went through so much reverse-psychology mental gymnastics with my approach. It was all WIFOM central. Aaaand then I got NK'd N3 by a redirected vigilante. Such is mafia.

Elo, did you have an inkling that I was Klaus, and Golden was Mr. Poe, (still laughing at that name-based irony) or was that luck?

We've had some disagreements in the past over the POE strategy, so Golden (inadvertently) killing me via Mr. Poe seemed sort of poetic in a way.

Talk about bad luck though. DrWilgy and zebra were nightkilled by the other mafia team, and I was nightkilled by the guy who has a 33% chance of successfully killing his target.

I didn't get to use my role ability at all. :pout: Being Esme, I would have easily survived the first lynch against me based on the number of votes. And also, my secrets said if I was the last remaining member of my team alive, I would switch and join Count Olaf's team. Unfortunately, zebra and I were killed at the same time.

This was certainly not a game with a lot of luck on the scum side; boo on us for killing baddies two times but I guess that's not completely unexpected when we didn't pick our kills the way we should have, and Golden zeroing on Soneji instantly and Sig zeroing on Glorfindel certainly created some remarkably awkward situations.
