I still really want to lynch Jack. I need to reevaluate my reads, I'll try to rainbow up a list to recall where I stand. I know I've been quiet; I've been doing a lot more reading than writing because of priorities that trump deep Mafia play. Most of my opinions are going to be based on whose cases and analyses I believe in the most, as opposed to my own ventures. I know that makes me not as good as most of you, and I do feel shame about it. It's just hard to avoid right now.

Good news is that I finally, tonight, about an hour ago, finished recarpeting our open-riser winder stairs. Now I have to move on to sanding all the baseboards before painting them white and putting them back on the walls. We're hosting a Christmas party on Dec 10 and certain upgrades needed to be made to the house. And those damn stairs took so much longer than I wanted them to.

Hey, that's cool. I remember when I switched to Jay that I was surprised that Mesk had so many votes. I was also surprised because by my clock, the poll had ended. I went to look at the ended poll, and saw I could still change my vote. I was like "WTF?" and switched to Jay. I double checked the end time and then went to the Main Page and compared the forum clock to my computer clock, and saw they were a couple of minutes off somehow.

Then the poll ended and went down in history. But the real truth is that by my clock, my vote ended up on Mesk. Analyze that, suckas!

I'm not as confident in the majority of these reads as I'd normally be at this stage in a game, but 24 hour cycles are much more fast-paced than I am used to (even if there have been a couple of delays in this one), and the overall lack of verifiable information circulating in the thread makes this a difficult atmosphere for problem-solving at the moment. If I remain alive, a lot of these reads would be likely to shift all over the place, I'm sure.
THAT SAID, with regards to the work I've done during this night phase to parse through everything Jay said and analyze the relationships he had with various players in this thread is something that I approached with a good deal of confidence. Jay is the person I've played more games of mafia with than anyone else on the planet by a long shot. I think I have a good grasp of how he plays and thinks about the game, so I felt I had a pretty good sense of the direction he would likely have gone in under the heavy scrutiny he faced over the last phase and a half that he was alive. My theories and my investigation were tailored to him specifically, so I hope they hold some merit. That is not to say my word should be taken as gospel, but Jay is a player I think I am capable of reading well so I feel good about the observations I have made.

Besides that, this has been a chaotic, messy, lovely game. I've felt completely lost at times and that feeling still has not gone away completely. So approach my general reads with caution, if at all.

Also I am a suspect to you because you believe I bussed Jay. How can you treat my line of suspicion as illegitimate? We're looking for the same thing; it's just our results that are different.

No. You're a suspect to me because

1) I believe Jimmy and Dom/Mal are w/w and you voted to save Dom/Mal. Worse, you did so with no reasoning or conviction.

2) You voted Wilgy with all my other suspects instead of Jimmy or Speed, which no explanation, creating a scenario where the only town read of mine between the three of them was more likely to be lynched as of an hour before EOD.

3) You keep handwaiving the incredibly strong cases against Mal (obviously saved by Jimmy) and Quin (obviously trying to save Mal and then Jimmy and refuses to say why).

Took a quick review of EoD3:

- Nutella and Eoi look great
- Speedchuck looks off for jumping on Wilgy to save himself nstead of Jay. Could see a Jay/Speed team-up.
- Bob looks Eh. He dropped out of the Jay thing when people started doing t, but jumped in again when they started coming bck. Jack looks similar to Bob in that regard.
- Eloh looks bad too.
- Sloonei looks awful. I bet he has the worst vote tracking out of anyone this game. The way he kept doing 180º turns on Jay, and those turns matched the flow of the thread is pingy as fuck, and also looks artificial. I'm only second doubting it because it threads close to "so bad it's good" territory, I actually doubt a true bad Sloonei would goof that hard. The Night 3 lynch feels similar too.
