I was thinking something like "they get a BTSC but scum gets to spy on the BTSC". It came to mind because I had a similar role in Fargo Mafia (although townsided), and realized that if I was trying to set up two people who would spew info about town role PRs in a private BTSC, it would probably involve Gavial.

Tangy is my strongest read. If I had a stronger mafia read, yeah that probably would be my push, but right now I don't have one that high. Mafia are definitely the priority.

It doesn't seem obvious to me that we'd know for sure if mafia were using the date mechanic as a weapon against Gavial and JJJ.

My only concern is that Seanzie saw Owner target two people or something and thought that meant "I sent fruit to someone" was a lie.

I might be experiencing more dissonance here in a world where I felt like Owner otherwise seems town. But there is so little hunting in Owner's ISO, and the predominance of it is on a player that 1) she just said she reads as 3p and 2) we now know is confirmed not mafia.

I also think the gripes I had with Owner don't disappear because she sent passionfruit to Gavial and JJJ. Owner is a candidate for my vote even if Seanzie confirms the claim, although second place is probably bad bunny.

We can leave her for now, maybe during the night her role becomes clear, if bad things happen to Jay/Gavial we kill her anyway
If nothing malevolent occurs during the night then you are unwilling to see that as a net positive because maybe the mafia were spying on the btsc?
Wouldn't the mafia spying on the BTSC be obvious anyway? Ie. if the btsc was chatzy then maybe but if it's discord that's actually not even possible?

I mean it might be more hassle than its worth but it's definitely a possible thing. JJJ/gavial could get access to a channel for one night and then removed from that channel but their messages will still be there and the mafia team could be let in. or the hosts could also copy/paste their messages to a separate channel or whatever. idk how feasible that would be but I don't think we should dismiss it as a possibility just bc its on discord

I believe that anyone that is not town is scum but the general believe is that 3ps are indies. If a setup contains third party roles, the Desperado might also sometimes be able to successfully kill them.

gut feeling to owner's updated role claim is that it's legit. at the very least, SOMEONE caused gavial/JJJ to "go on a date" whatever that means, and unless someone counterclaims being the cause of that, it's probably owner (or someone on owner's team if owner is wolf).

like JJJ I don't think it's strongly alignment indicative, since I could see both town and mafia roles doing it. And we still don't know what Seanzie and his secret mech have to say about this updated claim; it seems somewhat pointless to speculate any more while Seanzie still hasn't given word on it.

What bothers me is that she took a long time to claim the targets, I see no reason to be vague about the targets when she claimed fruit vendor.
