I think it's worth something that I abandoned my ISO of Neverwhere before reaching the end of it because her posts were overwhelmingly suspicious to me. I saw nothing in her posts that inspired confidence, and quite a bit that raised alarms.

Neither my suspicion of splints nor my rainbow list are contrived, they reflect my actual beliefs. I can't say much more as there are two minutes remaining to break the tie, but I hope you make the right choice. And I hope we catch a baddie in Neverwhere.

I will admit played chicken to see how Epi would vote. I had pushed refresh literally two seconds earlier and the poll was open, epi had voted. By the time I clicked submit it was shut. I had tried to shift my vote back to Neverwhere but it failed.

I still would have gone back to voting for Nutella the next day, though, I expect.

My tie-breaking vote was actually predetermined.

Not by any outside factor, mind you, but by something I had already decided.

You wouldn't have needed to make it had I switched back to Neverwhere earlier, though, since it would not have broken a tie. It's why I chose to hold out.

nutella has had BTSC with a player since night 3. There is no reason to believe that person was civ, or that they're still alive. But it's something.

There is, in fact, pretty good reason to believe that person is not alive, based on that poll result.

I can now assume that at least 2/3 of the people voting for Neverwhere are confirmed town, which is reassuring. And the third vote is my strongest remaining town read.

@sloonei - I think elaborating on my thoughts about ninja wouldn't be kosher. I think I left enough breadcrumbs for you to work it out by yourself. JJ did.

Also, to FZ and Scotty. Sorry. FZ could legitimately be Jekyll & Hyde. Given MM's interpretation of the Night 8 kill, I thought that I couldn't with 100% certainly call Scotty civ either. Sloonei was the person whose alignment I felt most certain of. That was the deciding factor for me. All of you I would have genuinely loved to see back.

My thoughts during that day generally - I intended to vote nutella for most of the period. This was primarily because I consider Neverwhere cannot be B & C or Phantom, and her most likely role based on her posts was Wildhorn, thus making her Jekyll, so I felt lynching her wouldn't tell us much. I was won over late in the period by Sloonei's convincing case that she could possibly be Webber.

I'm also pretty sure a gunshot (nightkill night 10) would be inflicted by Bonnie & Clyde, the king and queen of the shootout.

I am also of the opinion that B & C/team wildhorn may have forgotten to put in a kill on night 4 and Dom took pity and allowed them to 'catch up' on night 5, and this might explain the apparent bonus NK attempt on night 5.

You and spacedaisy seem to have sat out this last lynch by placing votes on each other. What made you so confident in your case against her that you chose not to vote for either of the two popular choices?

I would ask her the inversed version of this question.

Re: [Day 11] Bullets Over Broadway Mafia

I put my vote on MM because I feel most confident that he is bad. However, I did consider moving my vote to save Nutella because I felt very confident she was civ based on what I know of her meta, but I know as well as anyone that a player can mimic their civ game as a baddie, so that wasn't 100%. If I saved Nutella and you are wrong about neverwhere then it looks like a teammate save, and then both myself (and I know I am civ) and Nutella (who I strongly believed was civ) will be painted a baddies and it hasn't helped. But if instead I did not move my vote, it is a tie and I believed someone would break the tie, giving us some insight to intentions. Honestly I was surprised it went the way it did, I fully expected the tie breaking vote to go to Neverwhere, not Nutella. So that is why I left my vote on MM, my biggest suspect instead of putting it on one of the two leading votes.

Your explanation is a good one, and I have a hard time finding you at fault for anything really. But, just for clarification, could you run down the reasons why MM was (and perhaps still is) your top suspect? I have had varying degrees of suspicion about him all game and fresh perspectives never hurt.

Here is a link to my case on MM. But in my attempt to read through the day/night posts I think I see what he is saying about the Night 8. I know I am not in anyway connected to either baddie team however. Even with this aside, I still feel like his actions have been highly questionable since the time I entered the game. I assume no one else is looking at him because something he did early on bought him a lot of civ cred from the currently active players, but judging just from what I have seen since joining, he is acting more suspicious than anyone else currently participating.

Finally caught up, more or less. I think the case on Neverwhere is solid, and the fact that votes for Nutella piled in rather late make me think her teammate (only one, right?) is likely in the Nutella voters. Obviously I'm thinking Splints or Ninja, but Epi's behavior gives me pause as well. He's been playing up the indy angle, but is there any real evidence that he is actually indy?

Sloonei wrote:How would you rank the four Nutella voters from least to most suspicious?
Good question, because I had all four of them on the town side of my rainbow. Based on their behavior specifically related to nutella, least to most suspicious:

ninja - provided decently substantive reasons for her suspicion and I don't fault her for being unmoved by nutella's appeal to emotion

Golden - seemed to be trying to make the best of his voting power while silenced by rotating it all over the board and finished on the wrong name.

fingersplints - less substantive in her aggression against nutella than ninja and potentially omgus

Epignosis - treated the lynch proceedings like they were happening for his own entertainment

Do you believe Golden when he claims he attempted to switch back to Neverwhere just after the deadline hit?

The only way we are teammates is if I am wrong about him and he is a civ, but I don't believe that to be the case. I am not mafia with Metalmarsh or anyone else. I am town/civ.

I had been trusting of Golden the whole time I was in the game prior to my death, but I have been less a fan of the direction his posts have gone since then. A number of his suspicions have been wrong, and that in itself is enough to raise some alarms. What I find more believable about his account of the end of day proceedings is that he expected Epi to vote for Neverwhere. I would, however, like to hear him explain why he was expecting that particular vote from Epignosis.

Something that I've noticed about niju's and splints's votes is that they both gave the same reason for suspecting Nutella: her suspicion of splints did not seem authentic. Niju stated this reason before fingersplints did, here. Based on this content alone, I am inclined to say that splints was perhaps being a bit opportunistic by latching onto a Nutella bandwagon. I'll hopefully look back through both of their post histories to see how these things look with more context.
