I believe we should ensure, as a matter of mutual safety, that No Lynch has a majority of the vote.

Which is to say if No Lynch has 10 votes, and Player X has 5 votes, and Player Y has 5 votes, no one will be lynched. If Player X has 10 votes, and No Lynch has 7 votes, and Player Y has 3 votes, goodbye player XDharmaHelper wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 1:50 am I believe we should ensure, as a matter of mutual safety, that No Lynch has a majority of the vote.

Would you get a message sending ability to anyone you want, or would the message go to the Psionic player?nutella wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 12:28 am Re: speedchuck's btsc situation and the ensuing theories: I would believe that the person who targeted him is Psionic. He seemed to imply that he's not psionic, but I don't necessarily think he implied that he's not the same element as that person, because how would he even know that -- presumably he doesn't know the element of the person who targeted him, he was just given the btsc link -- so Golden's hunch could be true if they're both something other than Psionic. But I think it's more likely that the targeter was Psionic, partially because I know that when my element pairs with Psionic I gain a message sending ability so it would make sense for another Psionic combination to create btsc.
speedchuck: do you have BTSC with a random player, or is it with the player responsible for giving you BTSC?

I won't be voting for nutella or dharmahelper or tranq or SVS or elohcin or speedchuck or glorfindel.
I feel like all of them have talked to me, or talked on the same topic as me.
The idea of three votes and two people dying feels very schrodinger's golden to me. Perhaps I'm not opposed to one being a no lynch. I haven't decided.

I am considering a DharmaHelper vote if he's serious about wanting No Lynch again.
There's also something to be said about DrWilgy's idea to lynch our doppelgangers. But, how would one even start with that?

These really are placeholder votes right now. I have no rhyme or reason for them.
Quin because he idoled me out in Survivor.
Sorsha because she's like a mafia McGyver
DrWilgy because he owes me a fiver (actually it's because he has a one word vocabulary)

Re: Elemental Mafia - Day 2
Where do you get that feeling from?
I didn't even consider the idea of checking what would happen if I got my own element, and I guess I only have half the chance of getting it than getting any other element. I feel like maybe some people out there did have the idea of checking their own doppelganger's power, or maybe some people fused that way already, but if there's info floating, I'm in the dark.

It's a feeling. Feels like something i could see happening in a BR/LC game.
If you're asking me if i checked my doppelganger or fused with mine, the answer is no.

Re: Elemental Mafia - Day 2
Fair enough.
I think the fire/water, air/earth interactions do demonstrate some level of logic (as much as such a thing can happen). Also, today's poll seems to be clearly caused by the darkness/spirit combination. So, we are slowly getting info. Hopefully, eventually, we get to see the outcome of a doppelganger reaction.

Looks like you're right. The Darkness + Spirit combo caused this double lynch. The host post also indicates an Air + Earth tussle.

I did not send in my own element with the three choices pregame, and did not mix with my own element last night.
How would we know who our doppelgangers were? And if we had an idea, how would we get others on board?

sprityo, the host post pretty clearly spells it out:
Long Con wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2017 11:01 pmDeadly Reactions
Mediocrates narrowed his eyes - what was Darkness up to? Shifting and slithering, he never fully trusted the black element, sometimes quite visible, but sometimes he wondered if he could see it at all. The Darkness seemed to be coalescing around Spirit, who watched, stoic and serene.
As the two elements mixed and blurred, dark violet tendrils snaked out across the table, striking the hearts of the other elements. Mediocrates could sense the level of wrath becoming slightly elevated, and he knew, on a primal level, that there would be more death today than there might have been. Perhaps not as much as yesterday - those poor flames, burned out so quickly!

According to the player, they got the ability from targeting, then decided to target me for whatever reason. My ability from last night was similar to that. I also targeted a player, got an ability, then targeted others.Tranq wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 2:38 amWould you get a message sending ability to anyone you want, or would the message go to the Psionic player?nutella wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 12:28 am Re: speedchuck's btsc situation and the ensuing theories: I would believe that the person who targeted him is Psionic. We had a good little chat (and by little, I do mean LITTLE. I wasn't even around at the same time as them, thanks to my workplace blocking chatzy.)
We have 1 of either 100 or 55 (depending on whether x+y = y+x) combinations that could have caused it, and I'm not certain my own element was involved.
I can do no lynch as one of my votes, for personal reasons. There are a number of people I don't want dead, and this improves my odds of dealing with that.

Quin needs to put down a third vote.
Sprit, you're reeking of suspicion a little bit here.
Quin: "I am cursed." *votes for sprityo*
Sprityo: "How dare he accuse me? I didn't curse him!" *votes quin*
Methinks you protest too much. We don't know what Quin's curse really is, if it's making him vote differently. He may have no idea who cursed him, and he's voting you for other reasons.
Your jump in logic makes me suspicious, almost as if you know more of what's going on with the curse than we do. And I'm not a fan of curses.

Probably not. But in this instance I feel it most appropriate yes. Consider: In a normal lynch wherein you only have one vote, your vote will only piss off at most one person, and they might respond by voting for you in turn. And then of course, if they survive, they will use negative powers on you because you pose a threat to their game. Or, convince conspirators to vote for you as well, and lynch you.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2017 2:15 am Are you planning on advocating no lynches for the duration of the game?

Having 3 votes potentially triples that threat while guaranteeing that if you vote for 3 players, one of them will survive.

Personally I was thinking on this. I'm interpreting it as even if no lynch gets majority, the other two are still lynched. Wilgy, you are freaking me out with the doo doo doo thing, at first I thought you were cursed too.
I was about to vote, but Sprit changed, so I am going to wait some more.
Linki, I was thinking top two choices, so if No Lynch is one of the top two, then there will be only one lynch.

Well, then it can't hurt for us all to vote no lynch for the third option, and just pretend as if we have two votes to lynch two people and then just concentrate on that and make the third vote a moot point.
We have to make three votes, or else, but who is no lynch an option of we can't use it?
