c) It's such a small sample size that the two immediate games that sprung to your mind, you were indie in one and I was scum in the other

Sig's post is full of opinions qualified by wishy washy nothing comments and consistently crafted to remain relatively non committal.

I think it's generous to say that it's full of opinions or anything besides fluff.

My posts are amazing and filled with great things, amazing things, the best things!

Also I'll keep using words like odd or weird, things can be out of place and out of character, but that doesn't mean the person making the weird posts is more likely to be good or bad.

In regards to Turnip head, I found his random vote for MM weird, there's literally nothing else to add to that. It was a strange thing to do, but it seems NAI.

Here's a quick little list I've put together, most of my reads are shaky and I've got alot of Nulls, but for day 1 I'm feeling pretty good about my thoughts.

Civ Reads: I wouldn't lynch anyone here, but I'm not super sure of their alignment.
lapluie: She hasn't thrown out much content yet, but that's her meta so I'm not concerned. Gut civ read

Civ Leans: This is basically a foundation of a read, so slightly above a Null read.

Choutas: I liked his first few posts, but I don't have a meta for Choutas and he hasn't done enough to get a civ read. Civ lean
Sloonei: I'm liking his content so far. Civ lean
dunya: She hasn't been as active as she was in FE/MK, but that's NAI. I like her tone and content so far even though I think she's wrong on Scotty. : Civ lean.
Kites: I'm not good with reading Kites, but they seem to be playing the same as they did in FE. So slight civ lean
Golden: He's active and providing content and I'm not really seeing the criticism of his posts. Civ lean
MacDougall: Civ lean like his posts and content seems very Maclike
Scotty: I've already talked about Scotty, I'd put him down as a civ lean.

Null: No real read on them.

LC hasn't posted much yet, but after a quick ISO I like what he's posted. I'd move him over to a civ lean. I'd also caution against anyone taking my LC read seriously since I can't read him at all.

Nonalignment Indicator, so the player would do it as a civ or baddie.

I dunno. I prodded Scotty for info on his personality both from Scotty and others, and backed it up with a vote. My vote and questioning his motives and sincerity has created discussion. This is a good thing. We have 48 hours; my vote's moving all over the place before I make a more informed Day 1 decision.

This post strengthens my suspicion of dunya. Votes for pressure don't have a lot of teeth when you explain them away as harmless prodders.

My explanation came after Scotty addressed my concerns, and I was happy with his response.

I agree in general, but that won't apply to Day 1. I have found through trial and error, the more questions you ask, the more content you produce, and the more difficult it is for scum to hide. Honestly, sometimes I don't care who is arguing about what even if I see it as two townies going at each other. Content is generated, people will leave trails, some may slip even if we can't see it immediately. The priority early on in the game is to get as many people talking as possible. That's how I play mafia, and that's why I can end up with a few hundred posts in one early phase.

I mean, I see what you're doing, but I'm not sure it's the best strategy. the top 3 posters at the time pinged you the most (Golden, MP and me). The more posts people have, the more pings you will naturally feel. that will leave lower posters in the safe zone.

You prodded me for info on Scotty, but it doesn't seem to me you've given it any thoughtful consideration.

I did, I guess you hadn't caught up yet, but Scotty's explanation of how he felt left out when he joined sig's forum and was NK'd N1 was a personal experience that he didn't have to share and I believe he is talking from a genuine place when he says he does not want to vote any newcomers now.

But I don't really have a meta because I'm all over the place

It's a bit of an inside joke. When me and Kyle first started playing, I scumread him the first two games we played together (1 game I got him lynched I think) because I thought he was building content with the player inquisitions and game mechanic questions. But that's just Kyle. (he also does it as scum to blend in naturally )

Dunya was really helpful, but basically a neutral leaning town
MP seems towny-ish, his interactions have been generally NAI with others with an exception or two

For the most part the thread is a half dozen people talking and the others might not be here when the phase ends.
Also, I feel like if anyone wants to ask me a question they can because I want to clear myself as town right off the bat

in the context of this game does neutralize mean get rid of all of? in order to achieve the secret special bonus victory does that require 100% death of the alternative town faction or does it just require a numerical majority.
