I agree that it's a nothingburger but this is just how Jay provides reads early on in the game. I have no reason to call X a civillian, I have no gripe with Y but am looking forward to seeing their progression, etc.

That is not the point I am trying to make. My question was rhetorical. The answer is No, Jay would not struggle to make "better" posts than that one if he was mafia.

I don't think it will suffice to call it a "bad" post. That is a misread of his intention. He does not "say nothing." He says that tutuu's entrance has not been particularly alignment-indicative. Tutuu had just showed up in a whirlwind of typos, and it was a new topic of conversation. Jay weighed in to say that he had no cause for alarm at her entrance, but that it was also not enough for him to grant a town read on tutuu. That's not nothing. That's not a bad post.

I'm not going to find the post but his read on tsp early was also scummy imo

I still think the post is scummy because he uses way too many words in what appears to be an effort to now intricately than normally read tutuu while actually adding nothing of worth. If he had said something like "tutuu is still null atm" or whatever other such thing then okay. But I don't think the nature of the post is simply "tutuus entrance had been NAI"

Not in that specific context, no. At least not insofar as we can say that JaggedJimmyJay currently believes TunaSharkPiranha to be aligned with the mafia team. There might have been a twinge of suspicion. I believe there was. But he only pushed on it lightly to see if anything would be uncovered. This is a standard JaggedJimmyPlay.

The real question is if Esooa would push on this point like this as mafia. I think it's within her scum range, not necessarily because she wants to get Jay killed (she can't, not with this case), but because she wants to be seen as tunneled town. I don't really get a strong impression one way or another as to how authentic this push is and think it's a coin flip. I do think her earlier insistency when arguing with SPF was townie. There she felt more like a townie who's bit on a solid lead, with the triumphant brandishing of the post from another game as proof that SPF was lying, and so forth. Here it feels more like she's repeating the party line because she's made up her mind about Jay.

Esooa has stated three suspicions that all look rather baked to me, and for similar reasons: doubling down on something unworthy of a stubborn view. This applies to her treatment of KZA, SPF, and myself -- primarily the former two since those have already involved direct interaction. The spoiler contains some of the receipts; I'm not going to spam them all in there though.

Griping with KZA about "not sure it's real" vs. "not sure it's legitimate" -- I'm not sure that's real.

Griping with SPF about taking a reserved approach to reading her after one or two games in which she made incorrect town reads -- at the least I don't think that's reasonable.

Griping with me for various level one beefs e.g. "showiness" or "made a post without a clear read in it". Refusing to view me through a "would make better posts if he was mafia" lens after meeting resistance to that read even though one of her gripes with me was that I did basically the same thing with Tony (didn't immediately assume he wouldn't make a post that is on the surface suspicious or that it's not worth poking him over on page one) It all feels a bit like activity inflation more than it feels like an effort to solve.
