You really find THAT strange?

LOL, seriously guys? Where did I say my D1 vote wouldn't involve zero assumptions? And way to cut out the rest of my post, Llama, to misrepresent what I was saying.
MP, what did you mean to indicate by "serious assumptions", then? Do you intend to make them in your vote?

Now, MP, is that really strange for me at Day 1?
I think it's pretty obvious what I'm thinking.
Is questioning people bad?
Why are you concerned with my questions?
Is this an unusual way for me to play?
(Hint: it's not)

So yeah, Llama's got my eye. I thought that much was obvious.
I never once said it was strange, Dom. I just was hoping you'd clarify since I knew you questioned Llama but you seemed to feel better after his response, but I really couldn't tell what was going on in your mind, so that's why I asked.

I think you're reaching; I never said questioning is bad, that I'm concerned, or anything. I just wanted clarification, that's all.
If I'm reaching, what am i reaching for? You never stated it, and I find that potentially concerning.

Day 1: John Huston, We Have a Problem

Image

Chances are if you've ever seen Treasure of the Sierra Madre, it changed your life. Directing his own father and Bogart to cinematic success, John Huston proved yet again that he was an impressario of the silver screen.

Try: http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/157864 to learn more about this Hollywood magnate. He directed his own daughter Anjelica to a heavily-lauded performance in The Dead.

"Wait, that's not true!" shouted BirdWithTeeth11.

"But it's right there in the textbook!" replied Made.

"I don't like this," said A Person.

Llama said something intentionally provocative. No one listened.

"Well, let's rewind the reel and hear that part again," said BirdWithTeeth.

He put his hand over the projector to stop it, but his sleeve got caught and it yanked his arm at the socket. As Birdy was bleeding to death, he wondered if Devin Townsend had ever directed anything.

Image

BirdWithTeeth has been lynched. He was Howard Hawks.

It is now Night 1. You have 24 hours to send in your PMs/night actions and vote in the night poll.

With nothing but Magnolia to ever possibly change this (since I still haven't seen it), my favourite PTA is definitely There Will Be Blood. And sorry to bitch, but this poll would have rather been nice in chronological order. :D

Oh, can power steal / adopt happen without actually knowing who has the power? I always assumed the player with the power to adopt would PM the mod, designate another player and adopt whatever power he has.

Anyway, it looks like it could be February when we'll finally pass Day 1. :p

It depends on how the host structured the role. In the past, when I have used such roles, they steal from a random player each night, but that doesn't mean Mongoose chose the same method.

Sorry for missing the original vote, Black Rock and I were putting together a bunk bed and it took a long time, and I guess I'm used to the later deadline from the Champions game. I promise it won't become a problem.

I would have either voted for BWT with the crowd, or voted for FZ. Pretty much because they were, deliberately or not, reading me in a negative light where no such light was necessary. For the cross-game record, when I do a role analysis, I try to find ways to help the Civvies. I do it as a Civvie, a baddie, or an Indy. It just makes sense... as a Civvie, I want to help the Civvies. As a baddie, I want to seem like I'm helping the Civvies. The analysis part probably looks the same either way. I don't do it for cred, I do it because I enjoy doing it, and it can be helpful and fun to try and maximize the Civvie roles' power from the get-go.

Well poop on your face to everyone who voted for me. But thanks to Kubrick for bringing me back to try again! I knew he was one of my favorite directors for a reason! :D

I just got home and am eating dinner soon. But I'll have some time tonight to participate a bit.

Given that we have a re-do, I might consider scraping all my original ideas and starting over. Especially given that I didn't have a very strong reason for voting LC.

Linki: Yeah, I get that LC. I just read it as having negative connotations instead. And like I said, it might well just be we have a difference in opinion on it. Which is why I'm starting over and going to try and develop new ideas instead.

I screwed up, I'm the first to admit it, but what on earth would I gain by voting a civ that already seemed to have the most votes, when instead I could just vote for one of the people who I found more suspicious but didn't look like they were at risk of being lynched? Nothing but looking bad.

Figures having multiple of these would be useful later in game, so let's go with it.
my responses are in this pretty color
thellama73 wrote:All right, let's see what we got here:

A Person - No read
Bass the Clever - Seems off/stiff, Iunno
BirdWithTeeth11 - I generally don't like/trust an eagerness to speak on another player's behalf "what I think he meant by that was..." Let people speak for themselves. It may not be a baddie move, but it certainly helps baddies cover slips if they make them. I'll agree with this
BlackRock - No read.samzies
Canucklehead - Textbook sexism on Day 0, but apart from that, no read. can't remember how to read canuck tbh
DFaraday - No read. same
Dom - I am enjoying Dom this game. I think he has been helpful and on-topic, which I appreciate. I won't vote for him today. I agree, but Llama's phrasing here is making me double take
FZ. - seems geunine
Lizzy - Lizzy is hard to read. She is impulsive and typically not a very on topic poster, which is what we've seen here. I don't like her early vote for me, but it doesn't make her bad. No read, but thanks for the insight
Long Con - Fz's ping is actually the reason i'm trusting him more than the average player atm
Made - p chill, could use more hugs tho
MetalMarsh - I don't see anything unusual about his self-vote since he said he was not going to be around for the vote. It's not the first time i've seen himself vote because of out of time i think?
MovingPictures07 - Reading MP is like reading Ulysses: I want to do it, then I just don't. No reads yet this game
Ninjablooper - No pings from her, but after being her teammate I know how subtle and crafty her baddie game is, so I will be keeping a close eye on her.agreed
Ricochet -I like him, kids got spunk. He's got Moxy
Roxy - I think her baddie game is smoother and less reactive than what I have seen so far.too soon to tell imo
sabie12 - No read. ditto
SpaceDaisy - No read. dota
S~V~S - Always imposible for me to read, I have no reason to suspect her as yet.same
thellama73 - a really great guy. He is just the best. He seems more himself than usual, which i have no problem with because he's a swell guy. Going to keep tabs on how long i feel this way tho.
Timmer - No read
TurnipHead - no reeds
Vompatti - no read.

That won't be hard, since half the sentences in there are fifty pages long. To me it's one of the most blatant cases of the emperor not having any clothes.
