I actually do think DH would have been a likely choice for an early recruit, before it became clear what style he was adopting this game, and his refusal to give us anything this game makes me think he is expecting to coast into endgame. Not on my watch, Jack.

I do respect your thoughts on this, it's an actual mafia vibe based on traditional reads of a player, not anything based on this game's unusual format.

I don't follow. My response made sense. You asked when I plan on playing, and I told you that I am playing.

And sure. I requested questions for a reason. For the record I plan on voting TinyBubbles again. She doesn't feel good to me.

My biggest concern about a Bubbles lynch is that it feels manipulated. One of the baddie teams hand-walked this game into a lynch of Golden and I feel similarly about this. I acknowledge that Bubbles has been more suspicious than Golden was though. I'll continue mulling.

I just want to point out that DH's scum read on SVS is the most read-y thing he's done all game so far. I value his reads going forward, but also find it out of his game character this far. His point seems contributive, and I feel like SVS could have been recruited by a baddie team, but I am not sure she was done so between day 1 and 2. I think the switch would have happened sometime after that.

As for DH, isn't it interesting that he finally started going after someone after Unkerstein recruited earlier today? :mafia:

I apologize for not being involved in the game as much recently. The other 3 mafia games I'm in just started and have me quite busy. I promise to get back in with more in depth reads, but for right now off the top of my head:

-I'm still not off the Sorsha could = Umlautzerbad train, since she hasn't really been part of the discussion as of late (and no excuse as of why).
-The lynch switch to Bubbles shouldn't intrinsicly reflect badly on her, and we should not assume that it was solely Ubolivegarden's doing to get unfurl lynched. There were other powers at play yesterday, and I'm not reading into that.
-That being said, I don't think Bubbles has done anything to make her appear civ in the interim, and for now I will be voting Bubbles. until further notice.
-I'd really rather track down the recruiters before getting into the semantics of what makes a baddie recruit, but if a murderer kidnapped my dog and said he would kill it unless I told him some suspicious names of recruitees now, I would say that JJJ, SVS and DH are ones to look at. I would wager that no more than 2 of those are baddies, though not necessarily on the same team.
-I'm avoiding the Rico/LoRab debate for now.

That underlined bit up there was why I asked DH how he knew when the earlier Uzburger recruit happened, and he produced a post from 24 hours or so before then= night post and when I shifted tone in thread. When the recruit actually happened was not posted, I looked through Black Rocks posts before I asked, so I found that odd.

And I have to agree with your short list, it makes sense, even though i don't belong on it, I can see why you might put me there.

How can you be so sure MP wasn't bad? Not saying he was but it's certainly a possibility.
Scotty's post caught my eye aswell. Why assume MP wasn't bad?
What indication did you have that he was bad? Yes, I know there are 2 bad teams, but all I saw in him in the hours leading up to the end of day was a frustrated civ-minded player. It almost made me feel bad for him. I distinctly think that Dom was wrong in that mindset, but you are correct that there is that miniscule chance that he was playing us. I just won't believe it til the end game and I'm proven wrong.

linki- @Canuckle As I said yesterday, I have a fear that this is the same bubbles that I helped lynch in Bullets over Broadway and will flip civ and will make me feel horrible once again, but she distinctly said in the last game as her 3rd or so post: "I am a civ again!!!" whereas in this game one of her early posts was, "I'm totally bad." She attributed this to her playing a different playstyle, since that seems to get her lynched in all the other games. But that isn't much of a different playstyle, and if it is, what is that different playstyle? Lying? That's not very helpful.

I'll be gone for the rest of the day for a fantasy football draft party. $100 buy-in, I need to be prepared. See y'all tomorrow!

In Roger Rabbit, MP totally completely 100% played the "emotional MP fit" card as a strategic move. It mostly worked. I have no idea if he was doing the same here (though my gut says he wasn't), but just some anecdata for you....

Re: Bubbles: my current squicky feelings are more about the ease with which people are hopping aboard the bandwagon. I'm as suspicious of Bubbles as ever, but the fact that very few people have any compunction about her running away with the lynch is making me uneasy. My guess is that she's either neutral or bad and confident she'll be able to avoid a lynch again

Am I the only one seeing frame play at work here? Killing Unfurl with Bubbles vote so that we waste on Bubbles? because she's obviously evil. killing Epi because Golden will get lynched? obviously golden was evil too

I think the reason I'm so bothered by bubbles lynch can be defined by a old saying, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, well I'm dumb." let's not be dumb here. Why am I defending someone who won't even help themself D:

I'm a bit torn. On one hand there is TB. She made a couple of posts that didn't sit right with me, chiefly amongst them the reaction to the lynch. For this I would have no problem voting for her. However, there are two things giving me pause: how easily people are jumping on her and DP's who just comes into the thread with a smug face as if he has nothing to be ashamed of.

@ JJJ, Oh, I misunderstood your point, I thought you meant people in the thread talking up voting Golden.

@Wilgy, but how many people are voting Bubbles because of unfurl? I'm certainly not. I think many of her voters just don't like the tone of her posts, no? If anything, if a mafia team tried to add fuel to the Bubbles fire, I don't see it really adding anything, so I'd feel like whoever is bringing up the unfurl kill maybe... had a hand in it and WANTS to make it part of the narrative.

aapje, I'd be willing to shift my vote from Bubbles for the right candidate, did you have an alternate in mind? I'd gladly vote DP, for instance.

There's a difference, imo, between what I'm doing, which is playing as a neutral, and what DP is apparently doing, which is just complete apathy. If his plan is actually to deliberately coast through and never contribute, I'd be good with kicking him out.

@Timmer, please point out what about her tone triggers you. I also think you underestimate the greed of baddies. Anyone else dying, is a day longer they last.

@SVS I'm aware. Doesn't change the fact that baddies will do what they can for mislynches.

You made it sound like TB voted for unfurl which was confusing me, since I don't think she ever did such a thing.Since I believe that Nubzargan (how is it possible nobody came up with that name yet?) would have used the lynch switch regardless of who was in the lead I'd say the fact the lynch was switched has no bearing on TB's alliance, either food or bad.

@Wilgy, I'm not sure I agree with your stance on unfurl/Bubbles. I'm not saying you are necessarily wrong, but that you are tuned in too heavily on one possibility.

Looking back, we were in position 2, so yes, Ubzargan had a lynch switch to use. So yes, it seems likely that he caused unfurl's death. But it's to what END where I am not sure you are right.

You suggest Ubby wanted to frame Bubbles. Maybe, but what about this?

- TinyBubbles is on Ubby's team, or is Ubby himself. The lynch switch rather handily went to saving her own life or the life of her teammate.

Can you give me any reason why this isn't a possibility? I personally think that those wanting to catch a baddie recruiter should be all OVER a Bubbles lynch, because of the very possibility that she's bad and on the Ub team.
