My apologies for the crazy delays and endtimes y'all. I've been out of town quite a bit over the last 2 weeks and trying to keep up. Things should ease back into a more consistant schedule going forward.

Thanks for your patience also. I'm caught up on most of the game upkeep. However, if I have missed any PMs or questions from anyone, let me know

Thank you for running this game during a hectic moment in your life. Don't sweat any of it. It's not your fault this game sat in signups a month longer than it should have.

"Ok Bob is next"

There was no reason for you to vote malakim.
There was no reason for you NOT to vote malakim.
Because the post exists, you clearly considered voting malakim. It was on your plate.
Then you decided against it and thought it was important enough to note.
Why?

The only reason that makes sense to me is that you suspected (or KNEW :feb: ) that Malakim would flip town, and didn't want your vote record to look even worse. So you made a note of it and kept the vote off.

But that's just the way I would logically process the situation. You might be different. But if you were going to leave your vote alone, why notify us? IDGI.

linki: this game is cool. I come from a place with 120/48 Day/Night phases. With no talking at night. Full week per day. Yep. This game is trucking along, and you're being a very responsible host.

linki2: IKR? I'm not quite ready to agree.

But yeah. My reaction to the Mal stuff was bad. I shouldn't skim posts right before bed and try to respond to stuff. I literally saw Epi's "If malakim2099 is also bad, I would give heavy consideration to Sloonei's voice in the wilderness crying out against colonialbob." and defended myself against an accusation he wasn't making. I've got no real defense for that, totally get why it looks bad, I just messed up. I'll try to go back to respond to the actual accusation now, if it's still relevant post-flip.

I mentioned it because look at my post history in this game. I mention everything. If I had my way everyone would be saying everything all the time. And also, I've been screaming for bob's lynch for a week now and hardly anyone's buying in. It was satisfying to park my vote on him.

INH/sig (one not both, leaning INH if malakim is town)
Wilgy
speedchuck
Kyle

maybe Eloh. I haven't gotten a great grasp of her yet, but hoping it's busy townie rather than distracted scummy.

I'd go with Wilgy or speedchuck imo.

I have made my Wilgy case, after malakim reveal I'll make my other cases.

I've tried to see what Sloonei is seeing in colonialbob, but I'm not seeing it or feeling it.

I think he's a very strong intuitive player. In Pirates, he was a force not to be reckoned with and that was as a replacement.

If I'm wrong, Sloonei, then I'm wrong and owe you an apology. I've been wrong in this game before *jack ahem*, but I feel if you lay off bob for a day and look for the other two, you can see if you still feel the same way about Bob later.

It's an accurate assessment of things said in the thread, not necessarily by you. It's more an expression of frustration that there was talk centered around "if mal is bad, Bob is bad" and then mal isn't bad and the talk is still "Bob is bad." You're tunneling. Even if you're right on me (you're not) you're tunneling. I like speed's questions. If I'm mafia, who are my teammates? Who looks better? If I'm town, the same? I don't want you to ignore the rest of the game while trying to lead the charge against me.

I don't recall defending Mal, I thought he was probably bad. I've already discussed my defensiveness, which I agree was a bad look.

my only hesitation with voting for mal (despite naming him as a top suspect from the inactives, and his voting patterns was a bad look--which he tried to clear as best as he could but I guess being so behind in content will leave you feeling uncertain and not generally informed of actions you take), was his last post was really emotionally aggressive to a small prod from DDL. That's not a scum reaction, it's an emotional reaction. Secondly, he hasn't been here to defend himself. I hate piling on the person who is easiest to get rid off because he's MIA. and lastly, because if I were in his shoes, scum or not, I'd definitely think twice before replacing into a game on the syndicate in the future (especially if he flips town).

Also FWIW Mal's flip makes me want to look at people who pushed on him for JJJ-related reasons. I don't remember who they were but I want to reread those posts.

All I'm asking is that you spend the night world-building those scenarios. Assuming I'm mafia, who are my teammates and who looks town. Assuming I'm town, who looks worse and who looks better. You can't lynch me until tomorrow anyway, might as well spend some of that time doing something productive instead of just repeating how bad I am.

I don't like doing interactive reads for living players except in rare cases where I'm 99-100% certain they're bad. I'd say I'm only about 87.65% certain you're bad right now. Plus, given that I'm also a bit confident there's an inactive scum player, this exercise would have an added layer of irrelevance.

Talk to me about Long Con.

Lean good, because he's playing the weirdest scum game if he's bad. I'm not putting that past him, based on his apparent reputation here, but that's some heavy tinfoil.

Him listing Jack as his biggest suspect two nights in a row before Jack is killed is one of the biggest reasons I lean town. I can't figure out a motive for that as scum at all. He also questions Epi when Epi said his JJJ vote made him look better, which is mostly a good look (if a bit WIFOM). I wish he had more content in the last few days though.

Someone who has a longer history with LC can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the underlined is his MO.
I feel the opposite as you do about his WIFOMy denial of credibility for thr Jay vote. The way he framed it and his tone in the post feels like he was saying it purely for the WIFOM factor. That sort of thing is not town-indicative.

Who's on your short list of suspects right now?

Rumours like that are greatly exaggerated. I've tried one or two zany things, like getting my own team to kill me, but I don't really have a "weird scum game" rep. I've been very good at using a silver tongue to sway the thread to my scum ways in the past, but I don't even think that's the case lately.

Can we lynch bob now?
Does malakim's flip affect your read of bob at all?

Why were you so against voting Malakim?
Bob is my strongest suspect independent of all players without 3 J's in their name.

I supported the lynch by the end of the day, but I opposed it initially for two reasons: malakim's reaction to the janitored nightkills looked like authentic surprise which I did not think made sense coming from a player who would have had a hand in the killings. And the argument that "Jay lynched Mesk to save Dom/mal" on Day 3 was stupid.
But you still wouldn't vote for him.
Indeed. I did not need to. I made a post about this.
:dark: linki: I know, I saw it. I don't like it. Looking at your other mafia game that I was in with you, you're still meta-town, but I dislike that post.

Say, if cbob is town, who will you suspect next?
How about if he's scum?

I don't like independent suspects. Our baddies are not bad in a vacuum.
I think the whole Sloonei thing is NAI because Malakim had a million votes so an extra vote on him would have held no weight whatsoevert.

His choice to make a symbolic vote on Cbob is a personal one that doesn't really indicate alignment.

DDL, do you do rainbows? I'd love to see one from you if that's in your playbook.

Heck, INH didn't ragequit. He has 0 posts.

I'll do it after Why I Think Speed is Scum. You're not getting rid of me that quickly.
Soyou think Day 4 was a lynch between 3 different scum?

I'd go sig out of the two. I could see him being scum from these selections taken from his 13 posts.
sig wrote: Tue Nov 21, 2017 10:37 amWhat ever came of LC potential scum slip? That epi pointed out I don't see much mention of it, but I feel like there should be.
Maybe it's just me, but this "scum slip" was ridiculous, so trying to hearken back to it is fishy.
sig wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:33 am Howdy, sorry for not voting, I'd have gone for Daisy or LC since I didn't really see the case on any player. I'll address Daisy really fast, but first I want to say I really dislike the movement from her and JJJ to go after low posters who are kind off present, but not. I'll be totally honest I'm not very present and I find it odd people expect massive posts thanksgiving weekend. I also didn't expect this game to have 1400+ posts before day 3.

So since no lynches are impossible at this point one of the two, I'm assuming Jack due to vote break down has to be civ? Since mafia doesn't have a lynch survivor. Either way one of the two players should be seen as lock clear civ.
This "her and JJJ" pairing, for the sin of low-poster chasing. I can see this coming from a mafioso mindset.

sig your last post was a week ago, did you forget about the game?

I have nothing personal against them but I never actually have a read on everyone so they tend to mostly be guesses.

Honestly, I don't think it's good for a player to be replaced into a game so late into the game. What is INH going to contribute even if he does show up? ((what is sig even going to do when he finally comes back lol?)) I'm clearly the exception because I am obsessive, compulsive, competitive freak who will read everything and post like a madwoman. But after Day 1 and Night 1 have passed, players shouldn't usually be replaced imo.

anyway, INH is probably scum. If a vig still exists in the game, take him out.
