He probably voted for my inactivity. Because I can't recall having posted anything for him to be suspicious about. It's weird he isn't doing the same thing with Dave or Dom (before being replaced). I can't really answer the second part of the answer, I have no idea.lapluie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 1:51 amwhy do you think he voted for you? & how can you change that?

You currently have 38 posts in this topic. Dave has like, 1. Dom had zero, and he's been replaced by Mac.novaselinenever wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 2:00 amHe probably voted for my inactivity. You have consistently been on the wrong side of history, in this game. Your posts came when it's convenient to nudge the bar further toward mislynches. Your content is limited, and you have refused to give us a meta read game to supplement that. (Not that I would. I'm lazy.)
I wouldn't say you're the scummiest scum to walk the earth, but you're more suspicious than Dave. And that's a problem.
A lot of your posts have centered around defense of yourself. And I'm past seeing that as a scumtell, but I at least know how to use it.
So en garde, Nova. Answer the following questions or face my single vote of wrath, along with all of the campaigning I can manage for your lynch.
1. There are 3 scum left. Who do you think they are?
2. If you had to pick one scum out of the remaining players to win the game immediately, who would you pick?
3. If there is one player in this game you can trust, who is it?
4. Why do you think the mafia chose to kill JoH?

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 7]
Early in the game, Made was icky on Marmot for reasons I'd call unclear ("wuffliness" is cited but not expanded upon):
Then they had this fluffy cotton candy exchange:
Then Made left it alone (including his periodic *poof* from the game until Marmot countered my independent claim:
The only possible tinfoil is that Marmot and I are teammates. What?
I don't fault Made for initially perceiving Marmot's goofiness as looking like his typical civilian nonsense, because my first reaction was similar. It's troubling though that Made so easily progressed from his early game suspicion -- with a prolonged absence from the thread thereafter -- to this acceptance of Marmot after he claimed independent. Moreover, the notion that the only evil Marmot in this scenario would require an evil JJJ alongside him just looks like a fake read to me.
He hasn't revisited the matter of Marmot since, and I was starting to get louder in my anti-Marmot talk while Made was still here on Day 5. There were opportunities. There's also this:
The first one is extremely vague without names attached to each "bad things/good things" player he's talking about (presumably Simon and nutella, but which is which?). It's a mess of a sentence, and proceeding into the next post they combine to serve as a laborious defense of Simon. One must go through some kinds of mental gymnastics to arrive at the conclusion that for x reason a civilian Simon wouldn't defend himself as much as a mafia Simon. It's dubious.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 7]
Both of these things are ridiculous and I'm not buying them.
Kill was probably sent in before Jack said anything about Mac. If Mac was scum, he'd already been here most of the night phase. That one statement wouldn't change their target, unless they're just throwing darts at a board.
Jack already thought he'd die before he said that. Probably for role-related reasons, or due to something he knew that we didn't. More concrete reason to think that Jack's read on Mac wasn't the reason he died, as if we needed more.
Furthermore, Jack's been reading me town for days. It's even more of a stretch to implicate me.
I'm all for nightkill analysis, and if you want to suspect Mac, that's cool. But do it in a way that makes sense. Jack was nightkilled. He might have been an info-role, if the bad guys wanted him dead. Use that.

Still in the mood to lynch Nova or Made, despite Wilgy begging me to vote for him.
I mean, I'm not against a rousing Wilgy mob lynch, but I think I can get more mileage/substance out of my suspicions of Nova and Made.
. . .
Oh hell. Wilgy isn't on the poll.

And to quickly refute, I kinda played politics in that one JJJ. I was more confident in a Nutella scum flip than a marmot one and thought that preaching for marmot's lynch felt like an intentional distraction, plus aside from his claim, which imo looked bad for both of you, he felt more into the game later that early on.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 7]
I think I suspect Wilgy more than anyone...hear me out.
I think Dom was the first player that was in need of replacement. I think I remember Epi saying that at some point in the thread.
Let's say Wilgy, Nova, and Dom are the remaining baddies. Marmot is lynched...the last of the participating baddies. Wilgy suddenly decides..."shit, I gotta start talking in the thread now." Dom is finally replaced (with Mac). Wilgy thinks...I will put a vote on him right away to make people think Mac has entered as a civ and not a my baddie teammate.
Am I crazy, or does that sound likely?

Simon was taken off of the poll. I'm certain that was a mafia ability. It isn't displayed, so it was likely one-time use (as per the game rules in the OP).DrWilgy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 4:16 pmLol why?speedchuck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 4:15 pmHow disappointing. JJJ has been taken off of the poll, twice. He's 3P. I'll let him have that.
I don't think that Mafia or 3P have two ways to remove themselves or others from the poll. Therefore, it is town that has removed you from the poll. Kitana, maybe, or someone else's one-shot power.
Why would Kitana remove you from the poll? YOU, specifically?
1. You are Kitana, and can self-target. You would have known about the removal at daystart, thus my question.
2. Kitana has a reason to think you town, strong enough to force us to lynch someone else. Information? Gutread? IDK. But for someone to vouch that strongly, I wouldn't discount the possibility of information.
I know you're off the poll, Wilgy, but I'll make the statement. I'm not interested in lynching you anymore. Today or tomorrow.

Fair. Didn't see that.
Wilgy could have been a role that just takes itself off the poll, and my point would still stand. We'd need to check the other polls to see if Kitana is still alive and can account for someone else's absence.
But it doesn't matter because Wilgy isn't the cause of the poll abnormality.

Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 7]
If Kitana's secondary secret power was "once per game you may remove yourself from the poll" then sure, but that seems like kind of a boring secondary power. It's plausible, but I don't think Wilgy should be cleared because he might be Kitana. Occhams razor and all that.MacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 5:15 pmThat means nothing against chucks point if the role is like 'On a day of your choice you will be removed from the poll.'
But at the very least it tells us that Kitana doesn't want Wilgy lynched, and I think that's valuable on it's own.... I think.
