idk sloon part of me wants to believe you but I just feel like I haven't seen Best Civilian Sloonei in this game. I'm sure that's a lot to live up to especially as a replacement, but even accounting for that it really feels like some key je ne sais quois is missing from your play.

What I actually think though is that either speed and kara are bad or quin and sloonei are, and I heavily lean toward the former atm.

The school seemed to be having a truce now. For a while, kills had just stopped. Was INH the last bad guy? Or did the remaining ones give up and stop acting so they would be spared? For three weeks, the group of students who were investigating the killings had many interesting debates, but ultimately, they reached no conclusion. But as time passed, they got more relaxed, and started hoping the bloodshed was finally over.

But the truth is that the forces of evil were just biding their time. Regrouping and making new plans, so they could strike back at full force.

And full force it was, when one morning, the bodies of two of the most respected student leaders were found in the middle of the Great Hall when the student body arrived there to have breakfast.

Yes I agree with you that it doesn't seem like the mafia would kill speed. Maybe the write up does not mean to hint that speed was killed by bad guys.

Speedchuck has vig kill written all over him. This does not bode well for Quin. It’s still possible he’s town but after the way everything happened yesterday it’s gonna take a lot to feel that way for sure.

On the subject of vig kills, timmer is still alive, which could mean a few things: he’s a Death Eater, or the Death Eaters haven’t felt the need to kill him yet, or they’re just wary of protections/misdirects. In any event, it seems that others are being prioritized over him which could suggest that the Death Eaters feel safe from him.
