Why wouldn't you just lynch serge first, and if he comes up bad, lynch leetic the next day? I don't really see the logic here. Plus, I haven't seen enough to make me say leetic is acting scummy anyway.
The man wants information, yet he considers the direction our conversation has taken to be a waste of this Day 1 phase. I now find leetic more suspicious than someone who isn't even here.

Speak of the devil.
Just arguing with you, and not scumhunting or forming reads, is certainly a waste. That argument was hogging up most of the discussion, so I wanted the thread to go back on track.

You've made a comment on bad players.

So let me give you some advice:

Good players get shit going Day 1. They don't sit back and protest Day 1. If you are good, Day 1 is a blessing, not a curse. It means the civilians get to have the first crack. Use it.
...Says the guy who wanted us to lynch a player with no content and potentially wasting a day phase, not giving us a good start.
Serge wrote:I think leetic is right: it's better to not focus on low posters as they'll get replaced anyway. No self-respecting scum will win by being AWOL and by manufacturing reasons, they have to win it.

Is Quin ika's replacement? Or is it leetic?
Are you hiding behind my defense of you?
Serge wrote:I think I've said this before but day 1 is usually hazy for me. I think I said this on Turf Wars, it's the truth. If you believe me then we'll be able to make Mafia great again.
All of your posts seem prodgy to me, all they are for is to give excuses to why you're not participating. I mean, just because you do not feel that you are good on D1 doesn't mean that you can't try. I mean, come on, give us some reads, scumhunt, just try to do something.

Now that Serge has arrived, most of his posts are just fluff and as I have stated excuses for not participating. So yeah, he does look scummy.

You know what? Vote: Serge

This may seem hypocritical based on my previous posts, but...

1. He's actually posted, and while he hasn't posted anything meaningful yet, he has at least posted enough for me to be able to make a decent case against him, so it's not a complete shot in the dark. I feel I have the right to change my opinions in light of new information.

2. If he flips town, we have two people (Epignosis and INH) who we can investigate in D2. So we have something to go off of.

3. Let's give Quin a chance. I mean, yeah Silver was scummy, and yeah there'd be a lot to go on after the flip. However, I've been in Quin's position before. Believe me, it's not fun to sub in for a player that's considered scummy, and enter the game with everyone trying to lynch you and being forced to answer for someone else's mistakes. So, any further cases I make against the slot, will be made based on Quin's behavior alone.

Prod - when a mod contacts a player, usually about inactivity

Dodge - to evade

Prodge - Prod Dodge. Post meaningless stuff so that you can't be considered inactive.

Prodgy - adjective form of Prodge

I don't have long, sorry folks, but a few more thoughts/questions:

@gleam: Can you elaborate upon your leetic/me thoughts? Sorry, you lost me a bit there. To elaborate, I am slight town reading those four individuals not purely because of their activity, but because of the fact that I have consistently seen it as genuine activity. I haven't seen any questionable behavior from any of them just yet.

So... with Goldy now wanting out and considering Draconus already had to replace two other people, if we're going to consider a low poster policy lynch, another option is policy lynching Goldy.

I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I'll do some digging later. Still too busy at the moment. What is everyone else thinking?

Actually it was mostly the conversation that leetic and Epi had regarding policy lynches; they both seemed genuinely interested in town's best interests with their viewpoints. It's tentative though and heavily gut-based until I have voting data and such.

I don't have a lot of free time. Let's be quiet-buddies together.

Also, I know it can be frustrating for players to play a game sometimes, but it is also frustrating for a host to replace one player after another, and it's only Day 1! I don't mean to pressure you into staying Bullzeye, because I don't know where you're at irl (and your reasoning isn't game-related).

I just wanted to say that sometimes players need to suck it up and deal with the game situation. I try to empathize with players where and when I can, but they aren't the only ones affected.

That said, welcome back zebra. Thanks for rejoining the fray!

I guess my concerns were that I didn't get your reasoning for why you felt you had townreads on the people I mentioned. It felt to me like you had said some things to the contrary, or your level of interaction with them made your read feel a little baseless, or even contradictory. But you've just clarified that you feel your reads are based on your gut-reaction in seeing them interact with each other. I guess that's fine, for day 1 at least. Your clarification helps me feel a bit better.

Using their 3D maneuver gear, sig, Quin, rabbit8, MovingPictures07, agleaminranks, Bass_the_Clever, leetic and a2thezebra all rushed to the front lines following close behind Captain Levi. He was fast, though. Really fast. All of them were so focused on keeping up with him, they didn't notice the chaos that they were quickly approaching. Titans. Blood. Bodies. Screaming and crying. So much. Levi had spotted 2 titans ambling after several Garrison soldiers who were obviously out of gas. They were struggling to run along the streets to get away from their pursuing predators. "I will take the 2 at our 4 o'clock! The rest of you head to the nearest Garrison squad and see what you can do to help!"

They barely heard him. The group had stopped in their tracks on a roof not far from a 7 meter titan who was bent over at the entrance of an alleyway. It was chewing on something. No. Someone. They could hear the loud, grotesque sound of bones crunching between its teeth. Then a small wet thud as a dismembered arm hit the ground between its legs. Quin gave a short shrill scream, and quickly covered his mouth. The color had drained from his face. Having heard the short scream, the titan stood up and slowly turned around. It had short brown hair, dull eyes with small irises, and a huge mouth that formed a smile covering the width of its face. It appeared to have swallowed the soldier, but blood still coated its sharp, pointed teeth.

"No! I can't do this! NOOO!!!" Quin spun around and launched himself north-bound. Suddenly there were more screams. This time from the others. Quin's grappling hooks had attached to a house a bit further along, but he had propelled himself right into the palm of a second titan. This one was 10 meters tall and had a head that was hairless, and steaming as if it had just finished regenerating. It's face was read, eyes wide open, and mouth curled into a hideous smile as it watched Quin struggle in it's hand. Tears streaming down his face, Quin let out one final, long scream as the titan brought him up to its mouth... And bit down on his chest.

The others stared in horror as the titan devoured their comrade. Their friend. A crash had made them all jump as the 7 meter titan attempted clumsily to climb up the house they were on. Panic struck them all, and they scattered to other buildings nearby in an attempt to escape...

Meanwhile, Bullzeye, Metalmarsh89, insertnamehere, and Serge had come to one of the gates leading from Trost to the northern side of Wall Rose. Civilians were screaming and shouting, pushing and clawing at one another while they all tried to get to the gate. A merchant cart was lodged in the gate, blocking the passage. "Every last one of you! Your lives are meaningless compared to this cargo. This is for the King! NOW HELP ME PUSH YOU DOGS!! Metalmarsh was about to approach the merchant when the ground began to shake. 1 muffled boom. Then another. Then another. The cadets looked at each other in horror as they realized something big was approaching them....

Night 1

Dr. Wilgy tried to collect himself, having finished vomiting for the third time. He took deep breaths and thought of all of the training he had gone through to prepare for this moment... He could barely remember any of it. "5 more years of training... 10... Even then, I doubt I would have been ready for this."
"What are we doing? We're soldiers. Real soldiers don't act like this." Epignosis stared off to the south, where faint screams and crashes could be heard. "The real soldiers are out there, fighting for humanity. We should be out there with them."
DrWilgy looked at him sideways, the color still gone from his face. "I really don't..."
BOOM!
A loud crash from behind them caused them both to spin around, Wilgy almost tripping over his own feet. A house that was there moments ago now lay in a pile of rubble. They both stared, petrified, mouths agape as a titan rose from from the rubble. How did it get past everyone? How'd it get behind us? Epignosis wondered as the behemoth stood up on bowed legs, long black hair falling over its shoulders. It peered towards them with a slight grin on its face. Its ribs seemed to pop from its abdomen as if it were malnourished. The grin on its face turned into a wide smile as it finally noticed the 2 humans on the roof in front of it. The titan got down on its hands and feet as if it were a spider or an insect of some sort. It opened its mouth wide and then leaped at the 2 with incredible force. "SHIT!! WATCH OUT!" Epignosis yelled as he dove out of the way.
Wilgy had barely managed to get away from the titans mouth when he found himself unable to move anymore. The titan had landed on top of the roof with them and had pinned Wilgy down with its right hand. Spittle now fell on DrWilgy's face as the titan's gaping mouth slowly moved toward his head. "No!" He heard Epignosis scream. "I won't let you go out like this! NOOOOO!!!" He sliced through the titan's fingers and screamed some more as he went for the wrist: "If we die today, we die like men! Like soldiers!! Real soldiers fight to the very end! This is what it means to be..." The titan roared as its right wrist was cut from its forearm. It jolted up and brought its left fist screaming down to where Epignosis stood. A huge crash sent roof tiles and blood flying in all directions. The titan continued to pound Epignosis to a bloody pulp until it was almost through the roof.
DrWilgy shrieked, scrambled to his feet and launched himself away using his gear. As he was propelled away, he looked back as the titan picked up the bloody mass that was once Epignosis, and swallowed him whole. "GODDAMMIT!!! WHY!?! I'm so sorry, Epi. WHY!?! Why did it have to be an aberrant? Why? How?" So many questions and emotions sped through his mind as he sailed off in... he knew not what direction... He just knew he had to get away from that thing...
