I'm just frustrated because this whole thing was perfect, and now the guy who has no stake on either side has to make an arbitrary decision that doesn't affect him, while I'm just sitting here breaking rules in a way that doesn't help me in the first place. Of course, I don't think about whether or not the rules say I can role claim. If I'm scum, why would I think about that? I obviously can't claim, right?

It's just the perfect storm of bad luck and prior experience screwing me over.

in this scenario Mafia potentially also has..... 1-2 vote negations depending on if Shang Tsung is alive or not. Town has 1-3 vote additions, if you include the ermac sock, the distant possibility of Liu Kang being alive and Quin coming back from vacation.

Speeds comment about "avoiding an awkward tie" probbbbbably implies that they have 2 negations today, but even more importantly than his actual words, if they only had 1 negation today his gambit would be pointless suicide, especially if he was counting on me voting with civ interest.

then we get into some wifom-y territory... if speedchuck was telling the truth about not targeting mac for the kill then it's possible mac ate up one of their vote negations. it's also possible they only had one vote negation to begin with and were really relying on jay not being silenced to tip the scales for them.
