ye but he never strongly pushed it

from what i've seen, it was either to tie the vote or following wwa

it's obv not necessarily a bad look in and of itself cuz he did vote, but you gotta question it all atp. i want him to elaborate on what his tsp thoughts were

i'm starting to think this game would start making sense if it's somehow leetic, and even by that i mean that i could see why im so lost if he's a wolf

but it just seems incredibly unlikely on setup spec and he'd had to have broken his meta by a shit ton /shrug. not a good excuse but idt i can lunch him til lunchlo

Gleh. Sorry. IRL obligations really catching up to me and ate the entire night, and there's still more coming tomorrow/today.

I don't know what to do here. I don't have any strong scumreads besides Gira, and. it's probably bad policy to say this but even that is more like "if he's town and coming at me like this then the game is lost anyway so he needs to be a wolf" and jack makes good points about it sounding like a thing Gira believes if i put my ego aside and blargh.

eod2 felt bizarre. even more than eod3 thinking back. weirdly static and all the people being wagoned just stopped posting. rondo and I were the only people there pushing buttons and trying to solve.

this has endeared rondo to me a great deal because a. he did land on tsp and could have tied it and b. doing a lot of nothing much and then showing up at eod and voting a wolf is a behavior pattern i really struggle to see coming from a wolf. if it's a bus it's a really, really good one.

on the other hand i didn't know about that team of four post. that is in my notes but i only put it down as "weird that rondo townreads leetic and ted for pushing him" and never looked back and saw tsp is in there.
that's... a good catch.

Yeah, IRL obligations are starting to catch up to me too. This is probably the phase in which I should be most present as the most widely townread player in an uncertain gamestate, but what can I do. I probably won't have access to my laptop for a while, which makes things like ISOs a bit more difficult.

My best reason to read everyone as town:

RDB: Well-timed TSP vote
Made: Passed my reaction test
Gira: Apparent lack of compatibility with others
Abby: Tracker result
Ranmilia: Best-looking solving and also a lack of compatibility
tedxtr: PR claim

if rondo flips wolf, then whoever took potshots at him after EoD2 is likely a wolf

the wolfteam must've had plenty confidence cuz we were lost af, so it makes sense they'd distance / set up the bus, and rondo looked good enough after EoD2 that he wouldn't die

i think this was primarily gira, idk if there's anybody else. the lunches were practically set in dizzy / pyxxy and plenty of confusion to be had in myself / leetic

but this all relies on rondo wolf

tedxtr wrote: Fri Nov 24, 2023 11:30 am @Gira why are you not w/w with abi?
idfk i don't think i ever start a shitfight with a teammate for no reason - i think that i would have zero reason to push her when i did as a teammate - generally when a wolf is being cleared by most of the village, it is incredibly poor play to start distancing, because it possibly blows up their spot by turning people attention on them, and often that type of distancing is easy to spot. I'm someone who busses, but I do so when I believe my teammate has no chance of endgaming anyway. pushing abi there as a teammate would basically be throwing. This is to say nothing of the fact that i feel like her teammate bussing her would probably cause her to get pissed off at me and stop playing to win.

as in me dying places the game in a state where the game is functionally unwinnable for town, because it will go to F5, and mafia will have the votes necessary to win.

like - i realize it's been a long time since you've played scum, but generally you know if you're winning before f5/f3 because you can predict who will vote where. and if you have a single townie whose vote you can count on, the game is won. and i think that's likely to happen here if we miss today. today is functionally LYLO, in my opinon.

i still kind of want to die because i hate being in this thread and i feel like people actually need my flip to see that ran is pushing me in bad faith here (maybe. i'm a pessimist)

I have seen quite a few wolf teams fall apart because they assumed wrong (hell, the game I linked from FFR is an example). But town possibly wanting to be mislynched on any phase is always a concerning sign.

Not if tutuu gets lynched, nor if pyxxy's or Bereft's partner either. The other thread has been stingy about giving us people lately (then again, we were stingy at the beginning of the game)

When someone dies, they get sent to the other thread as long as their partner doesn't die. Porscha was lynched D1 in the other thread but came here because Abby was still alive, while nutella despite being killed N1 wasn't able to come here because her partner Mac got nightkilled before the thread was unlocked. So currently, pyxxy and Bereft are in the other thread while Porscha and Jack are here.

Anyway, while typically you're supposed to look through every player and try to find reasons why they're towny, I wonder if it would be better to do the opposite in this situation and look through players while trying to find any potential wolf motivations they may have had. I know this is considered wolfy, but sometimes town's best weapon is to use the wolves' own strategies against them.
