On this website? I might well be part of the problem. I mean no offense to anyone here of course, and I apologize to anyone who might be overwhelmed by my pace. My approach is the product of a long time spent playing this game in a place where it works. A lot.. I've won a ton of games as a townie and I have confidence that what I do is a contributing reason for that.

But The Syndicate is not RYM, and it is not the champs tournament. I acknowledge that. This is a site filled with lovely people, and I don't want to make their playing experience less fun.

Do you want me to tone it down? I absolutely will if you ask me to. I'm not the center of the mafia universe.

If you do need me to cool down, please let me know which of these two things is the bigger challenge for you: my huge analytic posts, or the sheer number of posts.

MM is right...say what you want, but know I am not reading it all. I would suggest getting to the point of what you want to say in the fewest words possible and don't say everything that comes to mind. Just tell the thread what is important and move on. I do think Epi is right as well. Shorter and ewer posts will help the syndicaters keep up with what is actually going on which will allow for educated votes. We will get baddies more easily

How did I get so popular all of a sudden?

I planned to dedicate this monday evening to a solid few hours of mafia but some dumb late-night rl shit came up.

I'm being very irresponsible though and giving it until 3:30ish despite having to be up at 8 tomorrow. Any questions, fire 'em at me.

I might be getting modkilled tonight (?) so I'll dump my general ideas before I die in case they're at all helpful.

My concern isn't that people aren't reading my posts -- it's that I'm generating a volume and game pace that is causing people not to read other people's posts too. Like they see the thread size and just shut their laptops.

I for one have not had the time/energy/energytime to read this whole thread in-depth. However I'm loath to suggest to someone that they play a game differently for my benefit.

People see "I have seventeen pages ain't nobody got time for that." Then they skim and vote and fuck off to whatever enchants them elsewhere.

People see "I have only two pages, but holy shit, these posts are full of content- something must be going down."

It's why so many articles online have becomes "listicles" now. I despise the word, but it relates to the modern brain: Many younger people won't read things that aren't in chunks for them. If they see a massive army of text, they will disintegrate. It's a sad state of affairs for an English teacher like me, but that's how it is.

Seaside's vote was the second on my wagon, but he's been tunnelling me all game so it doesn't seem that opportunistically scummy, even if the logic for his tunnelling is kinda sketchy at best as far as I can tell

What's kinda interesting is that, when doug raised the point that no counter train was forming as proof that he was about to be mislynched like the crafty bugger he turned out to be, seaside brought up my wagon as proof against that. Despite being on my wagon. I'm not sure I really understand why he brought up my wagon in response to this if he was on it and thought I was scum. Am I missing something?

Your posts aren't spam. They just too numerous for people here. Your posts are useful, and in my opinion (and the host can verify this post-game), you have elevated Mafia for this site.

It's just that people can't handle the volume, and, from a believer in the Strunk and White philosophy, you post fourteen times when you could post four.

There's precedent in keej's PH for not trusting me, with him saying he considers me worse than espers because of my golden vote thing. Plus there was at least some kind of vague attempt at an effort to vote black rock or something. Overall nothing that immediately pings as particularly scummy other than voting for the townie instead of the scum in a two-wagon race
