Golden is a goddamn expert on Survivor. The extremely well-written essays he's written on the subject prove it.

I had BTSC with him Day 7. He spun me a yarn about how he was about to flip on you, Faraday, and Quin, and how he needed me to support him through that. He misled me completely, and the vote against me was a total shock.

The fact that you didn't know how treacherous he was until he blindsided you out of the game, proves how much deflection he's been doing.

It's common Survivor strategy for a power player to surround themselves with people who are "weaker strategic players," and people who have just pissed others off.

If Golden, Opt, and Lorab are sitting in the final 3, it's because Golden wanted that to be the Final 3.

I do think that is who he wanted to be the final three. But I still think he is wrapped around her finger, becasue THAT is where he WANTS to be. The final two will be him and her, and he will be OK with whichever way it ends.

Maybe he has convinced himself he is being altruistic, lol.

We'll see.

I have to look at those videos.

I realize it was easy to vote me out to "get rid of the sickness," but was there anything I could do to protect myself from that?

Come clean in the thread, promise not to poison anyone else, apologize to Lorab, beg for forgiveness, something like that?

Frankly, I feel like my role was a trap. Every move I made just pissed someone off.

I poisoned Lorab based on pre-merge nonsense, and she held a useless grudge against me for that, and lynched me for it, despite the fact that I wasn't targeting her at all. In fact, I was going to try and work with her. I guess she felt differently.

No there was nothing you could have done. They had already made up their minds who was going and in what order. Like I said, they came into chat and told me who we were voting for cause Golden says. I bet they knew I was gonna make a power play on DH, lol. Maybe just not that fast ha ha

I gave Golden the perfect opportunity to power play LoRab and Opt, and instead he did what Opt wanted, LoRab in and me gone.

Good discussion, y'all! And welcome SVS- can I get you anything? A sweet potato soufflé? Some rum, maybe? We've got plenty of rum.

So as we get closer to the end, keep tucked away in your mind potential questions you would like for each remaining player, should they end up going to the final tribal.

You aren't required to ask or say anything specifically, but I will ask that you keep your comments self-contained- meaning, no rambling or asking multiple tangential questions. Once Final Tribal Coubcil comes (Which will immediately follow Night 13), you will be designated to post in the main thread your statement/question/appeal to the rest of the jury for each finalist, either in the same post or in 3 separate posts. They may respond to it, but you may not follow up.

if you reflect on what got you here to FTC - what percentage was luck or circumstance, and what percentage was skill or strategy?

I understand the chat rooms have occluded discussion in the main threads, and while I do agree it makes the game far less interesting from the outsiders perspective, it's a definitive part of this game.

A compromise I might foresee is limiting it to 1 BTSC choice as the game goes on. To purely eliminate the option at this point is quite unfair to the players, I feel.

Should this type of game ever be run in the future, however, I'm taking the criticism constructively and would keep it more sparse, for sure,

SVS, I'm sure you probably learned things from your BTSC that would influence your opinions of a few people left in the game, would you not?

Sure. I learned that pretty much everyone is expecting that BTS will end in the end stages :p

But I am still processing my feelings about what was said and how much of it, in retrospect, I believe. Very little, I think, at this point.

Maybe when Sorsha gets here tomorrow (this is my prediction, if not her, Eloh, and I think LoRab still needs her until they get rid of Sorsha and Quin, so I predict Sorsha), we can discuss it. Since out of everyone out there, I actually think she and Quin were the most sincere. And bizarrely enough, I was, too. Except for the night we took DH out. I think it' kind of hilarious actually.

Now I remember why I stopped watching this show. I watched it for three seasons, I think. I stopped the year they guy fell in the fire. Watching all the betrayal and backstabbing was just too depressing, lol.

It was the other way around. But here's the thing... I do not believe I would have beaten her. And I would have taken a bullet for her if need be.

But now I will not vote for her. I think voting me out was the wrong move for her game. I was the one that was going to take all the bullets since I was the one betraying everyone.

My final four was always you, quin, me and opt.
My final three was you, me and opt until you betrayed me.
My final three after you went was me, opt and quin.

LoRab was never in my plan at all. She was trying to play us as transparently as you were. All I wanted from my allies was that they weren't trying to play me. Quin and Opt never seemed like they were (clearly they were though).

Opt was staying for mafia long ago. It's perfect for her :p

I honestly just thought opt was a stable alliance partner who would never turn on me. In survivor terms, my 'one true person' that could be off in btsc with others and I didn't have to worry. I don't trust you or sorsha or lorab or quin because I know how deceptive you can all be. But I trusted opt. Foolish!

In some ways, this is why I should vote for her in the end. But in another way... she's the person who didn't need to move against me, so should I reward a move she didn't need to make?

Yeah, they did. Both Opt and LoRab came in and told me who we were lynching. Other than Faraday vs Eloh (and you see how swimmingly THAT went for me). No one discussed anything with ME. Maybe with you, but not me.

I agreed lorab at five and df at six and that's the way it was going to be. We needed to get sorsha out early.

I was never 100% sure. I wish I had trusted that now, don't I!

Lorab is playing better than people realise. She figured out I had a preseason deal with dh (I don't know how... maybe from dh) and used your voting him out to convince me long term you were pulling power plays on me.

I probably also assumed quin was consulting you better than he was. We agreed sorsha/eloh 7-8 and df/lorab 5/6. You were worried about ratios but I was doing everything I could to keep them even.

I did trust you, I did not trust her. Either her, LoRab or Opt. I hope Quin wins. Or Sorsha. I think they have played really good games to point.

And when did I agree to take her to 5? I actually had Sorsha in my projected five. I turned on LoRab becasue she refused to consider anything I said. I don;t like being marginalized, and I very much felt marginalized. You guys had it all worked out when we merged.

i was actually outraged that you put LoRab beforeme.

Anyway, svs, I regret how things played out. Btsc was a tricky beast because of how limited it was, I often felt the need to keep an eye on people rather than just talk to allies. But even at the time I was checkmated on voting you out. Eloh was my goal that day and if you'd forced the point on eloh I'm sure she would have gone.

Any deal I made with ANYONE BUT YOU AND QUIN, had the qualifier, "I am with you until I am not."

I was only in it until the end for you & Quin. Anyone else was temporary, and I said that.

Linki, Eloh was not a threat. Neither was Faraday. I did not want Eloh, I wanted LoRab becasue she insisted on killing the doctor. Even BEFORE he asked for it. I let him do it becasue I knew he would be hurt even more if we went to lynch.

Sorsha is the craftiest player I know. I would NEVER count her out. A big part of my move on LoRab was also to help advance Sorsha, since Sorsha appeared to be the lynch du Jour. We had day chat that day, and I laid everything out there for her, and plowed into the thread and blindsided it. It came out bad for me, but it forced everyone to reveal their true colors. I can't believe Eloh isn't petrified in that tank of sharks, lol.

When LoRab went after Faraday, at that point I decided I wanted Sorsah to advance rather than LoRab. I did not expect to die there, but like I said, it revealed alot about alot of people, and I would not be surprised if, post game, Quin said he voted you out becasue of how you turned on me.

linki, yeah, I resented not ever getting to talk to you. Every morning I jumped on at 5am, and you were already booked. Super frustrating. The three of us should have all been talking to each other every day in some form.

Yes we should have. Instead I played my btsc to cut people off... inh for example, if I had btsc with him he was down to only one source of real info. But it meant I wasn't getting btsc with allies. I think that was my biggest mistake in the game.

Second only is letting the same trick be played on me yesterday though. I let opt slide for the day when I should have locked her up, without her sorsha btsc things might have turned out differently for me.
