I like the stills, it makes it easier to relate to what you are saying and keep place in the narrative. You are also becoming more comfortable with the camera and speaking.

Nice :D

I also liked the stills. This just keeps improving. One thing I wonder though, is why your reviews include recaps. When I read a review for a film, for example, I wouldn't expect a full recap of the program. It seems like your approach is more analysis than review (which I prefer since I'm already invested in the show). Maybe I'm just being pedantic. By the way, I love your shirts.

And good Lord, I never imagined I would find The Penguin to be the most compelling character.

Found a lot to agree with. I had never heard of The Dollmaker myself. I loved the expression "digging around in the toy box."

What do you think of the setting? Gotham City has gone through numerous changes in each incarnation, from the Cali-style of the 60s, to the Gothic nature of Burton's films, to the burlesque nature of Schumacher's films, to the gritty realism of Nolan, and now this?

I see Gotham as something of a melding of Nolan and Schumacher, setting wise. Thoughts?

Robin Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot) has cited Burton when talking about his character. But honestly I think this is a new, fresh Gotham. Very dirty, almost like a machine. It's not as fantastic as Burton's look or as gritty as Nolan's. But its also not campy or anything like that. It feels to me the closest to a "comic book" Gotham than anything before it.

Recapping is just force of habit :P

I'm trying to balance "opinion piece" with "analysis"

Trying something different this week! For my Constantine premiere review, I'd like to try out the live broadcast feature on youtube. I will be watching the premiere and giving my thoughts in REAL TIME the Saturday after the premiere episode airs. I'm probably going to be streaming at like 6:30pm EST or 7:00pm EST in the afternoon, I haven't decided yet.

But I would really appreciate if you guys watched, and hopefully this goes the way I want it to go and we're able to interact more during the review.

DH - are you going to pick a new show to review now that Constantine has been cancelled?
I'm sad :( Hopefully it gets picked up elsewhere still

The one I watched had 77 views.

Those other three people must really enjoy that particular review quite a lot.

Oh cool! I was considering watching that since I liked the main girl in Glee. If you review that one I definitely will.
