Im curious, as to people who makes deal out in the open, are not becoming an early target?
just like in Survivor (tv-show) you dont want groups of people who will just pick others one by one
and of course there is always backstabbing
Well, that's the fun, right?
Well, it depends of what is your concept of fun, it is a relative term
But I do understand the appeal of people making groups and deals, is part of human society.

Let's make it a true Mexican standoff- I suspect Long Con of being a powerful baddie for trying to trick me into revealing the roles I would like to see out of the game early. CLEARLY he is trying to gauge how much of a threat I am to him and his awesome powers.
I also suspect rabbit of being powerful. Why else would he come right out of the gate looking to make deals with people? OBVIOUSLY he wants to broker a little extra time for all his powerful powers and their powerfulness.

I could see Rabbit with a powerful role. I also could see a powerful role hiding behind the innocence of someone like Unfurl. I actually am going to read over the roles now. You know, so I know what is a powerful role.

@LC -- I didn't read that as a role hint at all. The role is apparently based on rabbit's winning role in a previous game, so it makes sense that he would have some idea of how powerful it is.

I feel like he's either kidding or crazy. There's no way you can think someone making a dumb joke in their second post on day 0 is trying to derail a thread. Besides, is it even right to say you have 'suspicions' in a Last Man Standing game? Technically everyone is a baddie, or not, depending on your own perspective.

Or, ooooor, I has a super powerful role and you would be wise to team up with me.

And this. The only "good guy" in the game is your own role. Even if you're not a killing role, you intend to eliminate other players through the lynch phases, which makes you a baddie to everyone else. We're not even dealing in moral relativism. It's black and white. For everyone in the game, it is them vs. 18 bad guys.

What happens if two people without nightkills are left? A coin flip to see who wins?
Also, I went to have a look at the first LMS game on Hedville. "Day 1 - Kobe is speedy lynched, but he somehow survives." How did he survive? And quite hilarious that he managed to survive only to die Night 1 when his Lover was killed.

In that scenario I'd give it to whoever gets to kill that night.
IIRC, Kobe survived because he started out as the Immortal role, only to be switcheroo'd into a Lover the first night. Good ol' switcherooing, LMS wouldn't be LMS without it
(I've been developing that role for years, and, I think my idea for LMS4 will make the best Switcheroo so far. So stay tuned for whenever I have that game ready
)

Or, well OK, it could be that both Death and one of the every-other-day-killers kill that night. If that's the case, Death should get it, simply because its powers give it a lot more freedom to act.

There is none. If it's down to two players and there are no killers left... well, that's an inconvenience. Surrendering is an option, or we can finish with a good old-fashioned coin flip
The Plague is a passive role. That's all I can say about that

Well, sort of.
If Switcheroo wasn't a thing (that can switch dead players roles as well), yes. And there's death who can resurrect every night. I expect they'll primarily kill, but that's the thing about making deals and alliances with people in this game, if you can come to an agreement with someone in that role (or who gets it via Switcheroo), and they feel like they need you alive to increase their own chances of living longer (eventually you'd each need to kill each other, but that's a final alliance backstabbing type thing) they may bring you back.
So... if I think someone has BTSC, AND Switcheroo were dead, then I'd be wanting to kill the people with BTSC (the 2 that can win together moreso, but the two that can't win together are still a voting bloc that can work together, and that's as dangerous in the end game if their still alive as a NK is).
Ofc, Switcheroo has role secrets, and the actual role is called Ghost Switcheroo, so I'm kind of wondering if they can just keep using their power (or at least use it once, to hand off their role, since I doubt they'd ever be tempted to do so while alive, unless we lynched someone D1 who doesn't die, since that's the only time they can gurantee they'd get the role they want, unless, again, secrets).
Also: for Plague, it would make sense the Mystery Man is the one who is actually actively spreading around a virus, yes? Plague is just immune to it, and (I assume) if they die, anyone else infected with it is cured (which otherwise only happens if the aptly named Curandera targets them).
So, lynching Plague early seems like the top role to go after, since that's (if I'm right) in everyone's mutual self-interest (Switcheroo would have no reason to switch that role back into the game, unless secrets).
@Enrique: If Plague dies, but then the role is switched to a living player, or the dead player is ressed, does the virus also return to the game, or is completely out of the game the first time Plague dies?

Oh, also @Enrique: The rules don't state anything about role-outting, claiming, etc, about yourself, or anyone else. Is that allowed, and if it is allowed, is it in an encouraged sort of way or an 'I'd rather you not do that, but it's up to you'? kind of way?
Re: Last Man Standing 3 [Day 0]
Posted: Tue Apr 07, 2015 3:18 pm

Previously infected players will be cured, but it can spread again from scratch.
Role outing is not against the rules, but it's discouraged. Think of it as a last resort, not an easy way out.
Re: Last Man Standing 3 [Day 0]

Ok, thanks. Then Plague makes the most sense to target first to me, since I don't imagine anyone (or at least very few) roles would want to bring him back into the game. Actually finding a specific role is pretty unlikely, so that doesn't matter much, but that's who I want to lynch then.
Ghost Switcheroo - Every night, will choose a number of players equal to the round number. Those players will all exchange roles. Dead players are eligible for role exchange every third night. ~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~~~, ~~~~~ ~~ ~ ~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~.
Looks at role secrets, this is the easiest one to puzzle out.
~~~~ ~~~ Ghost Switcheroo ~~(is?) ~~~~~~(killed?), ~~~~~ ~~ ~ ~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~ (what happens when Switcheroo dies. I think the power does probably get handed down to be kept in the game).
