2 entities know the setup from the start... Mafia, and the town PR. Nothing is guaranteed right now, there is no one clear correct mechanical play, I think that's what people are seeing. So, Urist won't automatically become the top wagon for that reason.

PR claims don't help you live where some of the players come from, so this is not at all surprising.

I'm mainly typing to inform people that I am here, and I am either actively watching Gavial get buried, or I am ready and available to switch my vote. I cannot claim which.

If Gavial were mafia I'd expect someone pushing him to be killed. And if not someone pushing him, probably not the person saying "yeah I think he's a PR" before he's even claimed PR.

Also fun fact: JackofHearts has randed mafia in every game I've been in with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he flipped mafia here again just based on the fact that life is a joke.

Srceenplay is right though, killing Gavial was the correct play.

Today obv we only kill Gavial on a counter-claim that occurs in the first 12 hours because the PR is basically pointless now that they've missed once.

Are people really saying that killing a guy that claims PR which is 90% confirmed town and is self resolvable is more optimal than killing a person that isn't a PR claim, isn't cleared at all, and has a higher chance of flipping mafia?

It's not an optimal situation for sure, but PRs shouldn't be putting town in that position to begin with. The issue is that it gives mafia a lifeline, so in the long run it's better to kill through last-minute claims.

In this individual game *shrug* the difference is probably negligible. Clearly mafia didn't think the PR meant anything for the game (unless Gavial himself is mafia - pending counter claim).

Also, Urist doesn't actually scum-read me, so it'll be interesting to see what his angle is / who he's trying to bait.
