If nobody kills me I'll technicolor the Day 5 lynch.
If somebody kills me, well that's another vocal player gone.
Lol I like how you didn’t say “another vocal town player gone”
I'm getting scumslip vibes from that too.

What's your overall read on Marmot now dunya?
yellow on my rainbow list pending a flip from either you or nova tbh and I reanalyze what happened with the nova/daisy thing. Suspecting someone then agreeing with their points (as he did with nova) and giving them credence while building more evidence on them is just weird to me and I can't see myself doing it with a suspect I have in red.
Placing you in his yellow list now after some pressure from me doesn't earn him credit (hi Golden).
Everything else he's done is a good look though, considering he clarified that the LC thing was a joke. It's just that nova thing, I can't let it go?

This was a response to dunya's ISO.
I mean, I can't say the answer was very satisfying. You threw me a break stick when I was famished.

While the Athens-led fleet was winning the first upset victory over the Persian navy at Artemisium, the Spartan contingent had assumed their defensive posture at the pass of Thermopylae. It was a crucial strategic position which if lost would permit the Persians unmolested access to Attica and eventually Athens. Truth be told though, the objective for Leonidas and his men was never to defeat the Persian invasion there and now -- it was simply not possible. He likely realized that he was leading his men on a one-way journey to glory, and that they would not be returning to Sparta. To make a difference, the Spartans needed to hold the position long enough for Themistocles and the Athenian fleet to disrupt the advance of the Persians at sea and then return to reinforce Athenian territory against a weakened Persian force. This is why Leonidas and the 300 (and more accurately the 7,000) live on in legend for Greece in the present: their sacrifice facilitated the decisive battles that followed. They stood steadfast for many days against a force that outnumbered them by an exponential factor.
As it was, the Spartans held the pass for an incredibly long time under impossible conditions. Wave after wave of Persian footmen attacked their position, and wave upon wave lay slaughtered on the beach. There is no telling how long they could have survived there in a fair fight, but it didn't stay fair forever. The Spartans were betrayed by a local Greek by the name of Ephialtes who revealed to Xerxes a secret pass by which the Persians may flank and surround the Spartan defenders. Leonidas was alerted to the turn, and he allowed many of his men to depart the battlefield before they could be surrounded (those who so desired). The core force of Spartan elites remained though and fought to the last man. Leonidas and his men are glorified now at Thermopylae with a statue in their honor.
By the numbers, Xerxes and the Persians were the victors at Thermopylae. They took the pass and continued their advance, which was their objective. They suffered such heavy losses though that the moral victory really belonged to the Greeks. More than that, the cooperative nature of the strategy at work with Athens leading the defense at Artemisium and Sparta at Thermopylae, that the Greeks could begin to feel like a unified force against a common enemy in a way they never really had before. Greece was awakened, and the Persians were destined to meet the fiercest opposition they had ever known.
Day 6 is underway. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.
NOTICE:
Voting will occur privately during this day phase. There will be no poll. There will be no vote changes permitted. It is illegal to reveal publicly who you will vote for, and it is illegal to strongly hint at who will receive your vote. To be more specific, this means the following activities are prohibited during Day 6:
~ Stating who you will vote for.
~ Recommending others vote for any specific player(s).
~ Rainbow lists
~ Any other actions which do or can reduce your potential votes to a single or minimal collection of players.
What can you do?
~ Build a case or cases.
~ Review an ISO.
~ Engage in real-time discussion featuring accusations, defenses, or whatever other ordinary talking points which do not equate to "I will be voting for Player X" or anything similar.
If you want to say something and are uncertain whether it would fall in line with these rules or the intended spirit of these rules, ask me privately first. Any violation, or any attempt at exploiting a loophole, will result in punishment to your faction.

Another prophecy has arrived from the pythia.
Rainbows. They are the stuff of a Grecian win. Here is a sample.
Marmot, plus seven, and golden and wolbre are dark green townies.
Dunya, bob, speedchuck and scotty and daisy are part of the town core.
Sloonei, kyle, choutas, jack, nova and quin to be looked at so closely.
Lastly the Turnip man, lynch him today and the Persians will suffer.

he said your faction will suffer, not that you will be modkilled. just gotta be careful not to zone in on one person and you're free to do everything as normal almost tbh.

This means though that I'll be lurking pretty hard this week, sorry. I'll do what I can.
