Re: Firefly, The Game [GAME OVER]
I see the game is over...? Congratulations to the Mafia team and especially to Golden - you seem immensely happy with your win - as you should be - I hope you wear that winning game banner with pride.
Thank you Daisy for allowing me to play your game, it was a pleasure and if nothing else, I’m proud to be able to say that I was part of it for that reason
Thank you to most everyone else who was part of this game. It’d been quite some time since I last played here and it was nice to re-connect with you again. As I once again disappear into obscurity, I wish you all the very best - in Mafia as in life

Sorry for deceiving you glorf. I could never have let you be alive at the end to have to make the call. When you subbed out we were very close to killing you because I was asking my team to. I felt so mean!

Re: Firefly, The Game [GAME OVER]
What a great game Golden and TH. I'll never trust either of you again but thats ok. Congrats to the Mafia team!
I have to say a word about nutella - had Golden from early on and realized it was TH before she died. I just couldn't follow her logic but that's the thing about nutella - her town game is flippy-floppy and it's my fault for not recognizing her meta. You were awesome nut.
Also, DDL nailed it late in the game. I was sure the civs were going to pull out a win especially when Epi realized it as well. I saw victory on the horizon. Speed also a "wow" for your post. And Mac, if only you'd lived but they had to kill you, you were too influential and solving the game so well.
Finally Spacedaisy and Mac what an awesome game, I'm sorry I didn't play it from the beginning. I had fun playing AND watching after I died.
Ok everyone, see you in World Asunder!

speedchuck wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 11:22 am . . . Golden probably wouldn't play this game any differently than he is right now. If scum, that is.
A. Focus on the ship mechanics a LOT
B. Become a captain, a position one can gain trust from
C. Pick all townies as crewmates.
D. Make sure all townie crewmates are nice, supatown, trustworthy, and non-mutiny-y
E. Use your 'trust' of your crewmates to make the discussion more about who should be on the poll than scumhunting
F. Use your position as captain to win over your crewmates with money and good BTSC chat
G. Try to get scummy-looking low-posters lynched, like Wilgy
H. When Sokoth becomes an option, don't move to him late. Things are moving fast, and it will look like you know what he is
I. When asked by speedchuck if he should switch to Wilgy rather than SQ, give him a non answer to avoid committing to either side
J. Continue to put Glorf on the poll when winning mission. Protect the townies, earning an odd position
K. When the pressure gets high, quit the captain job as a measure of faith. Would mafia give up power?
L. Use superior arguing skill to shut down TH. Make him one of the targets.
M. Care about the health of the game, so focus early kills on low posters.
N. Be confident in ability to lead town and wiggle out of lynches with emotion or logic. Don't nightkill other high-posters.
O. ???
P. Profit.
This list is not fair to Golden, sure. He'd say that if I didn't. But just off the top of my head, I could see Golden being scum. It's very possible.

Yun qui got dismantled in epic fashion. Nova died as supatown (and in my pocket so I was sad), Colin got wrecked by Niska (basically my fault, also sad), Nutella was brutally mislynched (very sad), sweet juliets got blown up by a grenade that DF threw at us (kinda funny actually cuz she came right back).ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 10:29 am Turbup rogered me but good. Re: Firefly, The Game [Day 8]
Weird game to play as an indie role. I knew from the start that these missions would be a crapshoot, so my goal was to try and survive as long as possible by providing enough insights and commentary to avoid being lynched, while still intentionally pissing off enough people to avoid being NK'd. I also tried to protect my crew-members as much as possible, as I correctly figured that scum members would have no real incentives to lose the missions. It woulda been a hell of a lot cleaner and less nail-biting if Serenity wasn't the unluckiest ship in the 'verse when it came to losing members and missions. (And if DH hadn't have thrown that one mission.) I do feel like I chose the perfect time to claim indie, which is probably what netted me the win.
Good game peoples!

Different times and different conditions. I didn't see the value in a mutiny against Golden.
